mgsv is a fantastic game

it got me hooked 12 hours+ a day for a week straight

the motherbase managament, the soldier farming, the gameplay, the 0 crashes and smooth fps and graphics, it was perfect.

then the ending came and i was left disappointed. also lack of singleplayer dlc.

Yeah I dunno man. Metal Gear Solid obviously played a key role in popularizing cinematic, in-engine cutscenes; but I think Naughty Dog is hanging on to that crown as of right now. Don't let the memes fool you, they're rendered in-engine. ND employs clever tricks to enhance the asset quality during these scenes with a locked POV, but it's still rendered in real time.

Still, the FOX engine is pretty well optimized, and it's a shame Kojima doesn't get to do more with it.

Kaz, Ocelot, Huey and Code Talker had very good facial animation
Eli was mediocre
Venom varied greatly
Quiet was straight up uncanny

Honestly a big part of what made them so good was Kojima's directing/camerawork
