Don't remind me user

Hurts so much we are stuck with trash like EC

feels bad man

First had a great presentation.
Second was real fun.
Third game never

seriously, I have spent so much time in this game, It is so damn good. Top played game in Steam

Loadout will worth playing?

>no new Snatcher
>no new Policenauts
>no new Zone of the Enders

i like Metal Gear a whole lot, but all of the above are just as deserving of a franchise

Yes Loadtout WAS worth playing at the time. The only free to play game I have ever spent money on, but the population is so low it is not worth trying anymore. I had a ton of fun while it lasted though.

>every DLC they released fragmented the tiny MP community more and more

Thanks Relic.

It got a sequel: Eternal Crusade
More seriously, I'd only buy a sequel if they DRASTICALLY improved the combat, made more than 2 enemy factions, had a better variety of arenas for fights, and sprinkled more and more varied "allied" units around. Where were the techpriests? The Scitarrii? There were guardsmen there, where was their commissar? Their priest? The engiseer for their guns? I'm not asking for all these to be characters, but a few dead techpriests and a commissar silently watching would add a huge amount of verisimilitude to an otherwise very boring world.
40k is a big, fun universe, this game showed almost none of it.

it hurts

Fuck it, going to load it up and see if anyone is playing.....

>It got a sequel: Eternal Crusade

What gametype? I'll play

>It got a sequel: Eternal Crusade
FUCK YOU

>EC

HA HA HA

Good one user, nice joke

...

This game had THE most bland environments and level design seen in a third person shooter.

It does, the game feels like "40k Light" like they were afraid if they went full grimdark the game wouldn't sell.

I love the jump packs, I wish there were more levels where they let you use it.

There was so much good stuff here. A sequel with more polished mechanics and more Sis backstory would have been amazing.

>"My final question and the question in the back of all your fans' minds and everyone has been waiting to ask you for a long time: When can we expect the release of Ricochet 2?"

"In terms of Ricochet 2, we always have this problem that when we talk about things too far in advance, we end up changing our minds as we're going through and developing stuff, so as we're thinking through the giant story arc which is Ricochet 2, you might get to a point where you're saying something is surprising us in a positive way and something is surprising us in a negative way, and, you know, we'd like to be super-transparent about the future of Ricochet 2. The problem is, we think that the twists and turns that we're going through would probably drive people more crazy than just being silent about it, until we can be very crisp about what's happening next."
Probed further by the hosts on current staffing levels for the project and whether there's been a slowdown on the project, Newell replies "No, everybody who has worked on Ricochet 2 continues to work on Ricochet 2 [laughs]."

>we will never get the trilogy that we deserve

Why must we suffer?

...

>Konami will never give WOAR A CHONCE again

I sort of viewed it as a way to ease casuals in before the sequels went full 40k.

DDO was pretty fun, but having to do all the bullshit to log in every day is tiring

Honestly that isn't far off the mark. 40K is a niche market by design and although it's getting more exposure, it's still not something that can be marketed outright to every normie on the planet, which is a problem when game budgets increase and especially when THQ is breathing down your neck because they're on the verge of bankruptcy.

First game also had a better story, but I liked both. I'd be cool if they did a FAITHFUL reboot treatment

You know they'd fuck that up though

>a FAITHFUL reboot treatment
Nah, both games (though the first one in particular) improved upon the comic.

I meant faithful to the original games, but I do see what you mean. I think maybe one based more on the comics would be interesting, but you are right on this one

...

...

>giflike.com

Way too many empty rooms to walk through. Should have had loads of optional fights where you could dive in to help out the IG or just ignore them and barrel through straight to your objective.

Way too many invisible walls too

Never ever.

Just fucking kill me

Maybe I'll see the sequel that never was in the next life

>we were supposed to get zone of the enders in FOX engine

FUCK EVERYTHING

More like they were too lazy to model anything
It's been said above, but this was a forge world, yet no techpriests. You don't even have to animate them, a few techpriests impaled on Ork banners would have at least showed us that they existed

This game was so fucking satisfying, the gameplay was just perfect. Telekinesis was amazing, it was so satisfying to slam a 10 ton wrecking ball into some poor mook, or pick him up and stuff his flailing body limb by limb into a small furnace, or stand on a wooden pallet and fly around on top of it. Not to mention exploding people's heads after draining every drop of their psychic energy for yourself, or remote controlling them, making them shoot all their buddies and then forcing them to commit suicide. It's such utter balls that it lasts for like 3 hours and ends on a cliffhanger sequel hook that will never be.

>Honestly that isn't far off the mark. 40K is a niche market by design and although it's getting more exposure, it's still not something that can be marketed outright to every normie on the planet
Bullshit
Dawn of War is pretty fucking successful for an RTS. There's no excuse for this thing to be so completely watered down.

You made me remember man...

>the inquisitor that took Titus away at the end was a secret daemon
>in the sequel Titus would've been a marked man, pursued by the Inquisition and Grey Knights

GOD DAMNIT IT HURTS SO BAD

THEY WERE SETTING THE SEQUEL UP TO BE SO GOOD

Just play gears of war. Same game basically.

You know what the sad part is?

The original director still wants to make the sequel, but his studio pretty much exclusively makes theme-park ride stuff to bring in money and they don't have the money to get the rights and make it

>and grey knights

Please no

hell no
game play was shit tier
worst main caricature playable
story was confined and barely fit slightly in cannon.
limited options in game and hella hallway maps.
laked inspiration.

>leftennant

what the fuck is that. what did GW do now?

That's how it's pronounced in Britain. 40K is extremely British.

That's pretty old by now, that said i stopped paying attention to GW stuff after i saw these things.

Ricochet 2 coming April 12th

The fuck? Those just look like Terminators with normal Astartes helmets, what is happening here

POWER ARMOR ON TOP OF POWER ARMOR

No way man, Terminators are cool.

LET'S PUT A SPACE MARINE... INSIDE A SPACE MARINE.

>Fury
Where the fuck is Pestilence?

yo dawg i heard you like power armor

sweet joke

Icon doesn't exist.

Pestilence is a literal meme, it's Conquest, War, Famine and Death.

Not that it matters, the horsemen in Darksiders are War, Death, Strife and Fury. Why? I don't know.

Comic book people were in charge. For whatever reason, they didn't think that a fucking harbinger of plagues would make for a good character in a game about the apocalypse.

I've only really dabbled ever since 4e, but every time I bother checking out how far it's come I wish I hadn't bothered.

>copyright 3D printing
>make it affordable for the layman
>print your own minis or pirate them

or

>diversify
>ARG stuff
>videogames
>accept that TTG are a sadly declining market and double down; hone the game itself to a knife edge with some dedicated game makers, push the story forward, embrace the creative element rather than retard them, price your stuff the fuck down

40k, nevermind the rest of the GW roster, is a fucking goldmine franchise and it makes zero sense to keep it bound primarily to the tabletop game.

i still break out the TTG now and then (3e or Epic) but they have to realise that Warhammer is now more recognised for the universe than the game itself.

Just call the Space Wolves, they'll gladly push the Grey Knights shit in.

>you'll never escape from hell and retake Jenny from the Angelus

FUCK

It's time to split!

...

It hurts....
Almost as much as pic related.
2 doesn't count

>Alternative title: "What Abaddon wished for last Emperorsmas"

It wouldn't bother me if the Brits spelled it that way, vowels get an excuse but pronouncing a consonant that isn't even there is just weird

>Ripping off Gears
How stupid are these people?

...

But can he do a backflip?

...

...

The MMO doesn't count

Shadow the Hedgehog.

>Warhammer
>"ripping off Gears of War"
>"ripping off Blizzard"

it's funny because these things shamelessly ripped off Warhammer

Games Workshop are just scared people will stop buying their $25 kits of do-it-yourself plastic shit if they actually fund good vidya. Which is a pretty empty worry considering how niche Warhammer is already and it's not like shitty children's trading card games like Magic: The Gathering died due to digital games. Hell Blizzard launched their own MtG ripoff digital card game so obviously they're profitable.

>First, this post is not research-backed journalism. I walked into a room, looked at a game, and offered what I thought about it. I've been doing that professionally for around 15 years.

He neatly summarized the level of standards that gaming journalists hold themselves up to.

That game was laaaaaaaaame

Survive is going to kill the franchise

>so many idiots freely hating on eternal crusade
>you can bet not all of them played the actual game, which is strangely fun for a fucking half assed early access game
Classic Cred Forums.

>$40 with a cash shop and not even half the shit it promised

no

>BAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAA UNDERPOWERED COSMETICS ARE BAD!!! I WANT ALL OF MY STUFF FOR FREEEEE!! BAAAAAWWAAAAAAA1!!

isn't it matched based or some shit and not open world?

that's not an argument. looks like it's past your bedtime.

So was Space Marine.
>BAAAAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THEY PROMISED 6 YEARS AGO TO MAKE A PLANETSIDE COPYCAT BULLSHIT BAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAA IT'S ONLY A 64PEEPS ARENA SHOOTER WITH VEHICLES BAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IT'S SHIT CUZ OF THIS BAAAAAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAAAA

yea, I don't like battleground shit
sorry lad

Centurion armour.

Also they're kinda cute.

It could certainly use a lot of brushing up, and it'd be a fine game.

what is worse about EC compared to SM?
I never got to play SM during it's active online days, and a friend is trying to get me to jump on board with him for EC, however as much as I enjoy 40k SM was a mediocre TPS and EC seems to be the same, only it doesn't have as good of an atmosphere since it's MP only.
anyone who thinks highly of SM and poorly of EC want to give me their take?

I played for the singleplayer campaign and am more interested in Warhammer: Age of Reckoning style of gameplay if it were to be online. Much like

>Conquest
>giving one of the aspects of war its very own personification
>he calls Pestilence a meme

>tfw he was caught for holding and trading kiddy porn
;_;7

>but ain't getting any....
Not with the disaster that is Eternal Crusade. I can't believe they had the brass balls to release it in this state.

Reminder that Leandros did nothing wrong.

I'm just glad we got a second game at all.

...

pop culture literally made pestilence
literally
