I don't know how to explain it. I'm left-handed and use the mouse in the right hand, so I guess you kind of learn faster because instead of mistakenly applying pen muscle memory to your mouse and fucking everything up, you're just using the familiar mouse to trace lines you want. I don't fucking know, it's kind of like you know what you would do with your left hand if it were on paper with a 0.7, you know what's supposed to go where and what strokes go where, and you just kind of trace it with the opposite hand as slowly as possible. Like I'm not drawing with the mouse, I'm tracing what I would draw if I had a pen.

The only issue is that all my hatching has to be horizontal because it's nearly impossible to do consistent vertical strokes with a mouse, which is absolutely something I wouldn't do with my left hand on the 0.5, so that's kind of fun.

I've definitely improved a huge amount with the mouse in the last week. To start, I'd suggest lowering your sensitivity a shitton (I mean a SHIT TON) and drawing steady, sweeping lines through everything. Don't spam Ctrl+Z if you fuck up (although it's okay), just switch to White and touch it up, then keep going.

I don't know how anyone can learn to draw digitally before traditional media. To me, that sounds like learning to ride a bike before learning to walk. On top of that, your using a browser as your drawing program.
Its motivating in some ways to play DoD, but it might discourage you to see nice drawing that are made in spite of the format.
