He's probably going to be one of the wealthiest men in Khura'in seeing as he has almost no competition as a defense attorney and no end to clientele. Also all the women of Khura'in will probably want his dick, and when Reyfa comes of age he'll probably be king too.

If having a whole game revolve around your life isn't respect I dunno what is.

>Be Apollo
>Walk into office
>See this

Wat do

>Let's watch the video again
>lets listen to it again.
Please kill me, when does this end?

He has been getting exactly the respect he deserves. None.

So, yeah.

>the respect he deserves
I'm convinced that a good amount of Apollofags are those who also believe that SAO Kirito is a great character or unironically worship Onii-sama from Mahouka.
This is a series where the defense attorneys are pretty much everyone else's punching bag, period. This guy should just learn to suck it up and develop a sense of humour.

NEVER EVER

Dat da joke, user.

>trying to force memes

Just stop

qt

So, the cases in order:

shit, good, average, bad, good.

DLC was bad too. Dodged a bullet by pirating the whole thing.

I seriously hope you people don't waste your money on the DLC. Literally 30 minutes of banter you can watch on youtube and a extremely mediocre case.

How much would it cost anyway?

stop posting this in every thread expecting to get them succulent replies

whole DLC is $14

It's time to let it go and move on, Cred Forums. All good things come to an end

What is the best song in the entire series?

JFA pursuit

>Crapcom is trying to suck $44 from me for a digital only game with 0 replayability

nah

It is, you're wrong and should feel bad

How can Wright be such a poorfag after defending so many rich people.

>so many rich people
majority of his clients are close friends. Maya wouldn't pay him jackshit.

>constantly needs defending
>doesn't pay him
>mooches off him for free burgers
Why is Maya such a cunt?

We need more Devious Trucy

I'm pretty sure at this point Wright still rides his bike everywhere

>implying you wouldn't buy burgers for and defend best girl for free
Only those with shit taste would not do this

He has two games that basically revolve around him with new backstory for each game he has appeared in.

What more do we need?

> rich people
like who

Is Phoenix x Maya end game?

>From hero to yak milker
What went wrong?

the dude takes like 5 cases a year and 1 of those is reserved for Maya

I don't get it either
Wright is one of the most renowned lawyers in the country, getting even law schools to do statues of him in his honour, has a lot of millionaire and succesful friends, gets a daughter magician who's raising exponentially to be one of the top magicians, and they still live like beggars

NEVER EVER

So anyone one know if SoJ sold good?
Any chance for that game that takes place in the industrial era?

Any girl who doesn't put out after being saved multiple times and bought free food is far from best girl

>Implying she doesn't put out
>Implying she doesn't call Phoenix's dick "The Steel Samurai"

>Implying there is sex between the main cast in Ace Attorney

>implying Apollo and Trucy aren't fucking

No cuz he only was good in one game, and okay in another.

He doesn't charge his clients, hence Trucy being the breadwinner.

Before that he just dumpster dove for food.

Yeah, I think he still doesn't have a driver's license.

WINCEST

is he, though? they stopped with the "oh I'm so poor" shtick in the more recent games.

He has the worst luck in Japanfornia, everywhere he goes someone is murdered and the suspect is a relative, he's a push over and people feel entitled to his services for free just because they know him.
Shityy shitty life.

...and why would he want one?

There is practically no reason to get one in Japan.
Sure, there are regions with poor public transport over there as well, but that's only because no one lives there or wants to go there in the first place.
...and that's before we even start talking about autonomous cars, that are going to change everything before the middle of this century.

They aren't
If they were, Trucy would be a mother right now

if only there was a way you could fuck and not get pregnant

Criminal defense laywers make between $45k to #130k based on experience and volume of clients in the US, most likely less in Japan. His first case was with Larry in the first game. The more experienced and likely more whealthy Mia ran the law firm prior to her death. It would make sense that he is essentially a poorfag after paying for the expenses of his law firm and would be for the first few games.

Implying that's possible for a dragon that never yields

Adults in Japan are expected to have cars.

That's nonsense.

Car ownership in Japan is 5.8/10. US car ownership is 7.9/10. Once you factor out the 15-21 year olds in the US who own cars, the US car ownership is closer to most other countries. A mid 20 something lawyer is going to be expected to know how to drive. It's pretty well implied Phoenix is a bit of a loser outside the court room.

Oh fuck.

Good one, user.

>Communication is the key to a long and happy marriage, is it not?
>Hmm... What do you think, Mr. Wright?
>D-don't ask me!

What did Nick mean by this?

AA6 did that

The final case is literally "wtf i love apollo now"

Why is she so cute?

Case 6-5 spoiler

>just finished the game
>Apollo is gone for good
Good riddance, I always hated that fag.

>Apollo is gone for good
>He believes this

Shh just let me at least pretend for a moment while I listen to the ending credits

>Apollo is gone for good
If only.

the same ending credits that start with a jazzy apollo's theme?

Just like how Edgeworth was gone for good after AA1, right?

>Apollo is gone for good
>he actually believes this

Punished Apollo: A hero denied his family

who will win the best imouto cup?

Cute

AGE TABOO

OR

INCEST TABOO

PICK YOUR POISON

You have to break it down by geography.

In Tokyo, owning a car is near pointless for most people, it would just be a status symbol. There are a few live traffic cams on youtube, and most of the cars you see are service vehicles of some kind.

Bit of a loaded example, considering the location, but like, 7/10 cars you will see on this right now are Taxis: youtube.com/watch?v=6q36pnzcw70

Outside of the cities you will probably find car ownership goes up, but still no where near to the same level as other countries.

Doesn't change the fact that someone with a job like Phoenix would be expected to have a car though, considering his job involves travel to pretty much anywhere at a moments notice.

Why not both?

>you will never rail Rayfa
why even live

Having lived in Japan myself, I can attest to this. I can't really comment on the lifestyle of lawyers in Japan, but it is certainly possible for him to have one. I wouldn't quite say adults in Japan are expected to, as you said, it would depend on the geography. Is it even touched on in the games if he has one?

He's related to royalty, will go down as a courtroom legend, and Rayfa will probably ka-tonk him into becoming king. He's set for life.

Would you like 6-5 more if the queen assassination plan was planted evidence and Inga was trying to do something else like getting Rayfa powers and reveal the secret?

So lads,

Borginia is also featured in Dino Crisis, which occurs in 2009. In the first Dino Crisis, there is a container with the Umbrella Inc. Logo. Additionally, Ace Attorney takes place in the mid-2020s.

How would the Ace Attorney cast deal with BIOTERROR?

Mow them all down with a loli's RC helicopter.

When did Confess the Truth lose its identity?

Listen to this: youtube.com/watch?v=l4KYRqUrhLE
Then this: youtube.com/watch?v=I8v3DPdTbzw

The original one sounds like "you just broke through someone's testimony and they have to admit it" while the new one is more of a dramatic track that would fit with a shocking revelation (and that's how it's used). It's weird because this didn't happen with any other court theme.

I don't think so. I'd prefer for it to be something other than just a power grab desu

I don't know about your question, but what I do know is that Investigations had a top tier Confess the Truth.

youtube.com/watch?v=wuoN9MesbW0

In case of zombie outbreak, mount siege defense.

All I can think about when hearing Confess the Truth 2001 is Turnabout Goodbyes and Manfred von Karma

I found it weird that there were hints that Inga wasn't quite the cunt that he seemed, and then he was just a huge cunt

It actually was for Rayfa, though. At least, in a way. He'd rule through Rayfa as her father.

Due to his condition, Inga could never be able to channel spirits.

a person can be more than just very bad or very good

he was a cunt overall but he was nice to rayfa

Except the fact that he actually did care for Rayfa never came up again. I just found that weird

I actually like the newer ones. They tend to sound so ominous and intense it feels like the culprit has the grim reaper hovering behind them, ready to send them to Hell.

youtube.com/watch?v=Q3RP4R_N0iI

>you will never survive the zombie outbreak led by Sarge

why would Sarge lead a zombie outbreak?

Worded wrongly, meant Sarge would lead the group of survivors

I never noticed before but Kristoph looks like he's a bald man on fire in this gif

I honestly thought it was going to be a case of planted evidence.

I mean who the fuck keeps an assassination plot (who even writes that shit down in the first place?) in their safe, where the combination is their "daughter"'s birthday? It seemed like such an idiotic thing to do, TOO stupid to actually be plausible.

I think it was meant to imply he actually believed it was his daughter or at least deeply cared for her.

I think they mean Sarge leading the survivors.

>"CORPORAL JUSTICE, REPAIR THE BARRICADE!"

>"CORPSWOMAN CYKES, HERE'S A RIFLE, AIM FOR THE HEAD!"

>"PRIVATE FEY, STOP EATING INTO OUR RATIONS!"

>"GENERAL EDGEWORTH, WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT THE STEEL SAMURAI FIGURES?"

I wanna fuck Vera.

...

>"CORPORAL BLACKQUILL, HATOFUL BOYFRIEND BODY PILLOWS ARE NOT VIABLE BODY ARMOR!"

>"PRIVATE SKYE, SNACKOOS ARE NOT WEAPONS!"

>"CORPORAL GAVIN, STOP TRYING TO GIVE THE ZOMBIES A CONCERT!"

Is it just me, or was Vera designed with the way Leiji Matsumoto draws ladies in mind?

Also, Punished Apollo gave me massive Harlock vibes.

she isn't even cute

Wonder if they are going to consider making a case based on the play Eumenides, where Apollo and Athena had a trial over Orestes's crime of murder.

Why would they?

those are localized names and apollo left so they kinda missed the boat for it

The Plumed Punisher was a mistake.

I loved edgeworth bitching about it

When are we getting the crossover movie with the

>implying next game wont be ace attorney: apollo justice 2

>she isn't even cute
How's it like being a tremendous faggot?

>when Reyfa comes of age he'll probably be king too

where are you faggots getting this? they barely interacted and it was one fucking case

I don't know. You tell me.

You know what should happen in AA7?

Phoenix should get murdered. And the entire game revolves around a murder incident 20 years ago involving the 6th hidden Gamarye that no one ever talked about. But it also turns out that the 6th hidden Gamarye was actually Phoenix Wright before he went to college and got involved with Iris.

But then Iris was murdered 20 years ago as well, so it stands to reason that they were triplets rather than twins because the fake Iris goes on to date Phoenix during his college years.

KEK

What the hell

It hasn't been that long since AJ. He got straight rekt due to the presenting of fake evidence.
Despite that, he's recovered pretty damn quickly. He's average for a lawyer now I think.

Probably partly because of things like pic related, partly because she'd probably be his assistant in future Khu'rain cases, partly because she clearly has no friends so Apollo will probably be one of the few interpersonal relationships we know she has, partly because she's the daughter of the man who raised him, partly because she's 14 and hormones are dangerous son, and partly because it'd just be cute as fuck.

FUCK. My bad. Meant this.

That 6th Gramarye was actually Ema's real father who mysteriously disappeared

Who would win?

Holy fuck, why is everyone shitting on the DLC case so much? I just got through a testimony of Larry calles "Nick is a Jerk Face!" and consists entirely of him ranting, insulting and telling Phoenix they're not friends anymore.

The murder at the beginning of case 5 is still unsolved. Paul Atishon could not have pushed a suitcase let alone a wheel chair for his hands are too tiny. Furthermore, there was no point to murder the professor as he did not have the relic on him, and he knew this because he led Apollo and Dhurke to the cave. Finally, Paul Atishon has always wanted what's best for Kurain Village. A vote for Paul is a vote for a friend! No further comments

I haven't finished it and I'm liking it so far.
It's kinda obvious at this point who is the culprit but I'm still pretty muddy about the details, mostly because I lack information I suppose

Because Larry is a shit character

>More Gramaryes
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Fuck off, Larry. Datz is the bro we deserve.

Larry is amusing to a point, and he fulfilled his usual spanner in the works role, but have him feature too prominently and he just becomes obnoxious, fittingly enough.

I don't hate 6-DLC, it was just kind of meh, especially after the rest of SoJ and DD's DLC case.

More like

>average
>bad
>average
>good
>great

Honestly I enjoyed it quite a bit. I really enjoyed seeing the OGs go at it in court once again. Also, how this is the first time a witness has exerted their right to remain silent, although it could've been handled a bit better. Also, this has to be the very first breakdown in the series that got me misty-eyed. I didn't feel that sense of satisfaction you usually get when you catch the culprit - instead, I felt a bit like crying.

Of note are the animations; some of the ones in the DLC case are just bloody GREAT. Ellen's animations are some of the best desu. Also the locations in the Flying Chapel are the greatest in scenery porn this series has ever pulled.

It does have its flaws, however. For example, at several points during the trial you could think "wait, wouldn't that just wrap it back to justified self-defense?" although maybe that was just Edgeworth playing the long con. Also, the fact the butler did it. Okay, he wasn't really a butler so I didn't mind, but this could chafe with some people. Finally, I've seen people complain about Maya, but I dunno, I think she's fine. Oh, and Larry not having learned anything in 7 years.

Overall I think it was a great case, but people might be holding 6-5 against it: 6-5 was just exceptional and it's fresh in everyone's minds, so they might find themselves underwhelmed by a more middle-of-the-game case.

5 > 3 > 2 > 1 > 4

And 4 isn't lower because of Weebquill.

What. There's already a DLC? I just finished the main game, should I buy it? I also have to play the DLC case from 5 too.

Not only is the case even more filler than 6-4, but the whole plot is fucking obvious, Larry is an awful character and it doesn't hold a candle to the cases in the main game and 5-DLC.

Is a waste of money for a Low tier case.

>There's already a DLC?
The "Asinine Attorney" (short noncanon stuff) ones are already out, but the real DLC case doesn't release until thursday this week.

Show my your taste Cred Forums. Show me the ranking.
I mean ALL the cases in the franchise.

no

I hate case rankings

I hate how the protags keep taking the prosecutors' shit the entire trial. They never really fight back. It makes them look like total fucking pushovers, even when they're winning.

AAI2 > T&T > DD > SoJ > PW:AA > PLvsAA > AAI1 > DGS > JFA > AJ

that's practically Phoenix's daughter by the end of SoJ not to mention Nahyuta's sister, apollo wouldn't have the guts to do anything like the meek boy he is.

> DD > SoJ
> Magical Turnabout < Monstrous Turnabout
No way my dude

Someday

Good list but I'm going to call you a faggot for putting DD above SoJ anyways.

Agree with everything else except I haven't played DGS so I don't know where I would put it.

every time a rich person tries to hire phoenix he instead gets them convicted for murder, so

>Implying he isn't already based as fuck.
Always liked his character to be honest

That screenshot always gives me feels.

>this happens
>immediately get Moe flashbacks
>it's just a fake out
WEW

>It makes them look like total fucking pushovers, even when they're winning
That's the point.

what's that from?

It's a scene from the anime OP.

First OP of the anime.

damn, never even noticed that, probably since i skipped the thing after the first time because it was awful otherwise

I'm basing my judgement from the perspective that DD+DLC > SoJ. 5-4+5-5 was amazing (like 6-5) but Turnabout Reclaimed was very good as well, and not a single remaining case in SoJ holds a candle to it.

If SoJ-DLC (Larry's case) ends up being good enough, I will put it before DD. Otherwise, since Asinine Attorney was garbage, I will rest my case that DD is the superior entry in the series.

>No way my dude
Magical Turnabout was pure garbage besides Mr Reus's twist and his theme. Besides that, the plot, the motives, the pacing, the characters...all shit.

Monstrous Turnabout caught me off guard with the Nine Tails's identity and Blackquill is a much more entertaining opponent than Sad Monk, so in my opinion it is the better case.

6-1>5-1
6-2>5-2
6-3>>>>>>>-3
5-4>>>>-4
6-5>>>>>>>>>>-5
5-DLC>6-DLC
Overall:
6-5>6-3>5-4/5-5>5-DLC>6-2>6-4>5-3>5-2>5-1
DD was pure shit aside from the finale and DLC. SoJ was fucking amazing except for 6-4.

Second this. I get that Apollo is an alpha and every girl he meets almost instantly want to suck his dick, but Rayfa still need some more interactions to get there (not saying she won't get there because eventually every female that meets him gets there)

Not really.

5-1 > 6-1
5-2 > 6-2
5-3 > 6-3
5-DLC > 6-4
5-4+5-5 > 6-5

is my opinion overall. Using multiple arrows (which is retarded) isn't gonna change my mind.

>this is what Apollofags unironically believe

Am I the only one that thinks DD blows SoJ out of the water in every way imaginable? Better music. Better cases. Better prosecutor. More streamlined. Better DLC. WAY better finale. SoJ sucks dinkey dick. Athena>Apollo

>liking 5-2 and 5-3

>We'll never get feisty, aggressive Apollo from AJ back

A shame that they gave those traits to Athena instead. I liked the violent side to Apollo.

>5-1 > 6-1

I like DD too but this is weird to me, 5-1 was a hella weak case

>Better music.
>Better cases.
>Better prosecutor.
>More streamlined.
>Better DLC.
>WAY better finale.
Yes.
>SoJ sucks dinkey dick.
No, it's still a good entry in the series.
>Athena>Apollo
Yes.

>he unironically prefers this shonen power of friendship shit to 6-5
You're an SoJ fag baiting, aren't you?

Well, DD has a higher score than SoJ on Famitsu, doesn't it? If only DD had investigations portions like SoJ where you can examine stuff and higher difficulty I would wholeheartedly agree.

If you examine Edgeworth's car in 1-5, Phoenix comments that prosecutors are the ones that get the big bucks.

Assuming the DLC case comes out at midnight just like the two Asinine Attorney DLCs, it's just a little less than two hours away where I live. I'll let you know if that's the case.

5-1 was decent, but it didn't drag itself too long.

6-1 was too long for how simple the whole thing was. It went on for far too long and Metal Jesus was never funny.

>citing reviews as a credible source
>ever
kys

>apollo, athena and the magic panties are shopped
>but trucy isn't
>also mr. hat at the bottom right
damn

If this ugly ass faggot does another air guitar I'm gonna fucking scream.

I'll give you the DLC of DD was amazing and while I haven't played SoJ's yet since it's still not out, people are already saying it's pretty mediocre. I'll see when I play it.

I enjoyed 6-1 way more than I did 5-1 although I liked both as first cases. I don't get why do people call them shit.

I liked how convoluted 5-2 was but it still felt boring to me. Prefered 6-2 more. Also, and although this doesn't change my ratings, did not like how they also showed you who the murder is in the second case.

I found 5-3 annoying at best. 6-3 didn't help with Maya being the defendant for the 20th time but I enjoyed the whole case overall while I couldn't get into the whole Temis academy shit.

6-4 was filler and my least liked case of the game but Blackquill is amazing, which gives DD extra points and makes 6-4 not ultra bad.

And about 5-4/5-5 and 6-5, I really liked both. I would have prefered if 5-5 didn't end with power of friendship anime bullshit but the case was amazing. Really liked the whole Phantom thing.
On the other hand, 6-5 was also amazing but I felt it was way over the top. I'm not sure which one of the two cases I prefer for this one.

Citing Famitsu(which actually matters way more than western reviews in this case) was simply in response of what the user said about being the only one who believes that DD > SoJ.

Yeah, Mr. Hat is legit. The robot also curiously sorta does look like Ponco.

>Am I the only one
Stop doing this shit

Athena > Phoenix > Apollo.

Athena and maybe Apollo I understand, but Pheonix is as much an amateur as he was 5 games ago, despite years of taking down legendary prosecutors around the world with an almost pristine record.

Holy shit, you're right.

>tfw you will never play AAI2 for the first time ever again.

It was SO FUCKING GOOD. Like, is league aheads of the other games. How the hell did they do it?

Trucy, Athena, Vera, Jinxie, Juniper, Sarge, Rayfa at the end.

Even the lesbian of DD was flirting with him at one point.

Cloud Ballistics.

>Wealthiest
user, did you see that epilogue? Rayfa's making Apollo work for free.

Besides, there'll probably be a few more defense attorneys popping up here and there. There's no way Apollo will be the only one for too long. Unless you actually believe that the people of Khura'in are stupid enough to let a hot new job opportunity pass them by.

Unfortunately, this probably also means that there's gonna be a lot of incompetent assholes taking the bar exam. And since it's in the beginning stages, standards will be fairly low while they're still settling in so there'll be a lot of shit attorneys.

At best, Apollo may become the Phoenix Wright of Khura'in, the diamond in a landfill of sludge.

How is he an amateur when he's basically the greatest defense attorney's who's ever lived?

It doesn't matter what his personality's like. In the end, he always gets results. If someone acts nervous all the time but always performs exceptionally at this job, you can't possibly call that person an amateur. It doesn't matter how calm or professional someone's behavior is. If their actual job performance is low, none of that means shit.

You guys say that Mia and Greg were so much better than Nick, but who's the legendary defense attorney here? Who took down Redd White? Who took down Manfred von Karma? Who took down Damon Gant? Who solved decade-old cases that no one else was able to solve? Who revolutionized the entire court system and forced people to take a good, hard look at their legal workings? Not Mia Fey, not Gregory Edgeworth. It was all Phoenix Wright.

You guys remind me of a worker who takes his job seriously all the time but is bitter that his co-worker is so much better than him at everything despite being a complete goofball.

...

Okay I'll bite.

>Trucy
Literally brother-sister relationship.
>Athena
Best buddies relationship. She ships him with Juniper while she wants the Blackqock.
>Vera
Is this a running joke? I can't remember a single scene where it could possibly be interpreted as her liking him.
>Jinxie
Same as above.
>Juniper
Yes.
>Sarge
I guess that a 12 year old child gunning him down with her drone counts as her being tsundere for him.
>Rayfa
You could make a better case for Phoenix.

>the lesbian of DD was flirting with him
To try and get him by her side because they shared a similar loss.

Nice blog, where is the subscription button?

KHURA'IN PUSSY

>She wants to Blackqock

Since when? Show me one instance where she acts in any way romantically attracted to Blackquill.

Here's the real fact, user: No one has romantic interest in anyone.

>Here's the real fact, user: No one has romantic interest in anyone.
The only correct one on that list is Juniper, even if it was one-sided.

Ah, right.

Juniper's the only one then. I guess there might be Iris, but you have to remember that there's no guarantee she and Nick still have a thing for each other. Iris said that she enjoyed her time with Nick. It might just be a pleasant memory for her now. Besides, she's not exactly in a position to be going out with anyone anyway, seeing as how she joined a monastery and all.

Of course there isn't any concrete evidence, I was just pointing out that there are better basis for that rather than towards Apollo. It doesn't change the fact that Apollo/Juniper is her OTP.

why do these people always get Maya kidnapped while they're at it

what kind of person is stupid enough to blackmail their own lawyer, giving them a motive to turn against you.

>I get that Apollo is an alpha and every girl he meets almost instantly want to suck his dick

t. Putrid Red Pepper

I want Ema to study my cock!

he qt

>there are people who think any AA main character will ever experience romance

You guys are silly, how would they bait anybody that way?

What you oh so conveniently forgot to mention is that he would've choked many times, if it weren't for copious amounts of handholding by others.

>Redd White

Wright didn't do anything, Mia did it for him.

>Von Karma

Biggest fluke ever, thanks to Maya getting a hold of that one critical piece of evidence.

>Gant

He probably would've failed this one too, if Lana Skye didn't give him that book on evidence law.

>everything in Khura'in

I'll give you that, but he got helped left and right until Godot told him to be on his own.

but they paired up mia and phoenix in t&t

That he still acts like an amateur is my point. Even after all the skills he's learned and all he's accomplished, he still lets prosecutors walk all over him like a bitch, and he's always tackling cases in panicked frenzy, failing to put the facts of the case together despite being a God among attorneys. He hasn't matured a bit, still handling cases like its his first one. His firm, calm demeanor from the AJ era should have stuck.

Imagine playing 3DS games at this resolution

You'll be able to once the iOS port comes out

My favorite part of TT was when Nick and Mia were fucking while CEing Dahlia.

I really, really like this song. Should've been a bit longer though.
youtube.com/watch?v=q582qWn7bok

Apollo Justice was mostly revolving around the Magnifi Gramarye case, Phoenix being disbarred and Kristoph's lies.

I can't believe they didn't develop Trucy and Apollo as siblings any further.

I don't have one of Apple's retardedly overpriced devices, and I don't plan on getting one, the only sore point is Capcom not giving a rat's ass about putting their games on Android or Steam, so I'll have to play 400x240 Ace Attorney at 20fps.

Wright allowed Apollo to BTFO of him during court

I would say he did

Sucks to be you. I was gifted a 6 a few months back. DD looks amazing on it.

Wright is better than Apollo, but he can't fight against the truth.

there's no difference in DD and most likely SoJ in the iPhone version outside the resolution

And probably the framerate. Goddamn these devkit screenshots look so damn good.

He was working on that case for seven years.

Wright cornered White. He did most of the work. Mia only popped up at the very last second with a list of names.

Mia tends to only be of much help when she's already familiar with the case. Fact is, at most, she tends to serve as an equalizer. There's a lot of things she couldn't do, as evidenced by all the people she ultimately wasn't able to take down.

When you get right down to it, Mia probably lost more cases than she won, same as any other lawyer. It's just that her win/loss ratio probably wasn't as bad as that of other attorneys. Otherwise, Nick's undefeated streak of four cases wouldn't have won him so much acclaim.

I thought they were from Citra. Mind telling me more?

Can someone explain to me why Wright became a nervous attorney again and not the calm guy he was in AJ?

You missed Ema, both Queens and the magic twins
If it has a vagina then it is Justice-sexual

capcom-unity.com/zeroobjections/blog/2016/09/24/cloaks-and-scarves-gorgeous-3d-models-in-fluid-motion

There are some here, maybe some on the other blog posts, but they are official from the dev/localization blog.

>It just means it's in a place NO ONE WOULD DARE TO LOOK AT
>Don't even think about it and point The Sarcophagus over and over
>It actually IS, every single time

Lmao, I'm amazed at how little I had to think about stuff on the last trial.

The only truly interesting part were Insights. If not for them, the game would have been a fucking cakewalk

He had 7 years to prepare for his revenge on Kristoph, plus he was always taking the back seat.

Notice when everyone sees Wright he's the cool customer he was in AJ, but when we see him from his own perspective he's the nervous bluff machine he always sees himself as. Dunno if it's intentional but it works for me.

>she wants the Blackqock.
and you call me delusional...

>To try and get him by her side because they shared a similar loss.

more like they're similarly gay as fuck

Because the devs want to ignore almost everything about AJ because it's a shitty game

Because you weren't playing as him in AA4 (sans the flashback case). He still acts calm when you aren't playing as him in AA5 & 6. Look at 6-5, he's confident as fuck throughout most of the case.

Turnabout Serenade vs Bigtop

What is the true worst case?

Big Top by far.

Serenade.

Bigtop.

At least the villain in Serenade is interesting.

I used to think Serenade, but after replaying the series, definitely Big Top

Serenade has a fairly bearable first day, after which it goes into the shitter, but Big Top is thoroughly obnoxious and tonedeaf throughout. It's just a huge pain.

The most impressive thing the anime did was making Big Top pretty decent

Big Top has kind of a dumb premise and the worst witness ever but it has heart to it.

Serenade's premise is so fucking retarded in comparison, like some little kid could've even done all they accused him of. And that fucking video, again and again and again. Clearly way worse.

Big Top

Serenade was at least interesting with the whole illegal cocoon smuggling thing. Something so far out there that you just know it's possible.

Bigtop because the anime not only reminded me of its shittiness but also somehow made it ten times worse.

Phoenix and Rayfa are literally father-daughter relationship so no, you couldn't make a better case

What? They fixed Big Top, for whatever that's worth

>made the crime method a little more plausible with the whole DIY crime scene in court
>made Acro not sympathetic, even have Moe call him out
>skip the entire first day of weird Regina proposal garbage
>show an actual epilogue

That's the thing.

Even if court is serious busines, I wish all crime recreations were like that: cardboard and shitty acting

There was one difference: they corrected that gaffe in the English version with Prof. Means.

wasn't that fixed in a patch on 3DS too?

Anyone else disappointed that they didn't bother utilizing the N3DS for SoJ? The game seems to run exactly as shitty as it does on the O3DS, with really constant loading even though there's far more RAM available.

I agree, the anime adaption made it more bearable, same thing with Turnabout Samurai.

>caring about the framerate of an adventure game/visual novel

They never patched the 3DS version... Could've used one though, lots of typos.

It's distracting that the game suddenly begins to chop and stutter. It's not important for the gameplay, sure, but it's really annoying that a game this simple runs this poorly.

Yeah I was surprised by the lack of typos in AA6. The only one I noticed was during Dhruke's death..
>"That's gotta smart."

With so many awesome magicians entering the stage, what can our original, card-throwing flying magician do to prevent being outclassed time and time again and stay relevant?

I'm pretty sure I saw at least one "the the"

Retcon him into having taught Trucy some tricks when she was a little girl.

Considering how many cases Nick has taken as a favor, he should ask for a favor of his own sometime. Why not use it to help his daughter?

the whole thing in the trial was the dumbest thing I've ever seen and it also made Franziska look more incompetent if that's even posible. Also making Acro not look sympathetic goes against the theme of Justice For All. Getting rid of Pearl for a case that was perfect for her to be there was also dumb, the crime still is pretty stupid, and that Monkey scene was stupid as hell.

I agree the last two points were an improvement though.

>the trial was the dumbest thing I've ever seen
Sorry, but that spot belongs to Recipe for Turnabout.

Turnabout Time Traveler is available in central Europe, looks like it goes like at midnight in each timezone.

*looks like it goes up

I don't understand what motive Paul Atishon would have for the murder. He knew the professor didn't have the item on him. Murdering him wouldn't help at all

Politicians are fucking assholes. What else is new?

The whole trial was pretty awful.

Sarge was cute and Atishon was funny, but the rest was so bad (Phoenix going against Apollo because Maya got kidnapped AGAIN) that it made the case mediocre.

The trial in Kurain was good though.

He's a spoiled bratty kid who threw a fit and killed a guy because he had no foresight. He doesn't really need a motive when you can establish what kinda monster he is.

But they established him as a politician who would literally say as of little of substance as possible to avoid controversy, it seems a bit weird to then say he has tantrum murders. They could have just made him complicite in the murder instead. After all, it wasn't a criminal trial anyways

How long did they honeymoon fase lasted for DD?
How long do you think it will last for this game?

>AA7
>Apollo is just completely drained. He's been going through a string of losses lately and he looks like he's about to topple over all the time. Luckily, they were all minor cases, but he's lost all confidence in himself and he can't even concentrate enough to Perceive anything so he can't even confirm if his clients are really innocent or not. He hasn't even had time to eat or sleep much.
>On top of that, he's being charged with murder, but he just lacks the strength to defend himself. His lost his passion and is on the verge of giving up on himself.
>Can Nick defend Apollo himself while also reminding him of why he became a lawyer in the first place? Can the Phoenix re-ignite Apollo's flames?

I imagine Trucy and Athena visiting him and he's accused of murder, threatening defense attorney's status in the country again.

I'm pretty sure they fucked up with the name for one of the dialogue options but it was pretty mistake free

I think he knew about the deal the profesor made with the Dragons and since he wasn't going to give him the orb, Paul was going to take it from him instead, just then he found out the doctor hid it on the cave and he was screwed.

>Talk to Nahyuta and Rayfa
>"W-Well, in retrospect, I guess making him take on fifty cases at once while also having him milk nine goats a day might have been a bit much..."

Just beat the game

So is this the end of the series? Have the devs spoken out about this yet? Pretty decent end to the entire saga.

Excited for the DLC tomorrow.

Nah, I doubted Eshiro at first but he's proved to be quite commited to the theme of succesion and Phoenix being the mentor now. If anyone's would hypotetically take over for Apollo now (because it won't happen), it would be Athena.

It's the job of the mentor to help his protege when he's in trouble.

Besides, Nick is a better source of inspiration for Polly than Athena.

The series is popular. If it didn't end at T&T then it won't end now.

>"Goats? Your Benevolence, we don't have any goats in Khu'rain."
>"..."
>"...What was he milking?"
>"..."

Also, Nick's saved Athena before, but he's never saved Apollo. It'd be a good opportunity for him to show his stuff as their mentor.

Not anymore when the protege has finally come to stand for himself.

Look at Phoenix. Mia didn't come to save him when he was disbarred and he didn't ask her to do it either. He brought Apollo, a rookie but promising lawyer, to help him.

A dead person can't save anyone. Nick's still alive, and I'm not that interested in seeing every game be the Apollo Justice Power Hour.

>"That's gotta smart."
This happened twice actually

Maya endorses having waifus, let's not let her down.

Man if they go back to Khura'in for more than 1 case in the next game i'll throw my across the room.

>yfw

Just another reason she's best girl

>mfw that's an edit

Is Spirit of Justice actually good or is it kawaii uguu moe moe weebshit story with handholding investigations and trials like Dual Destinies?

The only games in the series I like are 1 and 3.

One thing I know is that Gaspen Payne is the first case, so if he's still in the country, it's probably not Apollo taking it, as he's beyond expert with seances now.

Athena is the tutorial case, defends Apollo in the next case

OR

Apollo returns to the states and is involved with a case there.

You sound like a huge faggot.

Maya and Pearls can channel her. That's literally how Phoenix went by through the first two games and even a part of the third one. Also, you won't have to worry about that because they'll most likely write Apollo out for a while after this.

Even though I think Phoenix is the one who should've left a long time ago.

Since we're speculating how 7-1 is going to go down.

Phoenix/Athena as lead character (could be either one. Likely Phoenix)

Apollo as defendant (Traveling into the states, gets caught up in a murder)

New Payne

Left what? It's his firm.

>Apollo as defendant
Delete this, Apollo will never get accused. You can't mess with the natural order like that

The spotlight.

He's the only main character not accused yet

>we will never see Edgeworth marry and start a family with JudgeMILF

YOU HAD ONE JOB CAPCOM, AND YOU FUCKED IT UP!

It's his firm. And he's the better lawyer.

AAI basically tied all the cases together, and the final villain had a role in all of them.

>Edgey doesn't want to marry
>everyone keeps poking fun at him over it

And it'll stay that way.

Also Pearl hasn't been accused. I bet she'll be accused next game

>Also Pearl hasn't been accused. I bet she'll be accused next game
I actually kind of want this now.

So in the Japanese version, is Kurain just another part of Japan or is it a different country?

Nah, Apollo has surpassed in every way after SoJ. The only thing he has going for him now is his name to keep the franchise going. As for the firm thing, Apollo has his own so he doesn't need Phoenix.

>implying Apollo won't just represent himself if he gets accused

Is Ga'ran the worst last boss in the series?

No he hasn't. Apollo hasn't taken on a single case as complex or crazy as anything Nick's done.

you're trolling right?

>Nah, Apollo has surpassed in every way after SoJ
What the hell are you on about? No he most certainly hasn't.

I'll miss DD's Wright Anything Agency dynamic.
It was the best thing since AA4, and it salvaged everything that went wrong with the time skip.

>Pearls at the age where she wants to wear skimpy clothing
>She wants to party in the city
>She goes to a night club
>There's a murder there
>She gets accused
Make it happen Capcom

Every character including Nick himself admitted it at the end of the game.

>>Pearls at the age where she wants to wear skimpy clothing
Not so sure about this, at least if you mean it litteraly. Rest sounds alright though.

Darklaw and Storyteller exist, but they are from the spinoff so dunno.

Fullbright, Kristoph

Alba, Godot

Phantom and HUBJEKSHUN

But Fulbright was an awesome final boss. He taught us about how friendship is cool and shit! Honestly, I will never get the love for 5-5. I thought it was a mess.

Every other last boss that wasn't von Karma or Engarde are worse

don't know about spin offs because I don't play them

Pretty sure he's referring to the part in the SoJ credits where Pearl mentions she wants to change her wardrobe to be more like city girls. I doubt that necessarily means slutty clothes though.

Engarde isn't the final boss.

So we can all agree on:
AAI2>DD>T&T>PWAA>JFA>DGS>SoJ>AJ>AAI1
Right?

>yfw Pearl gets Emergence'd

Trial of the fucking century right here.

>So we can all agree on
Stop this shit

What part of that list do you disagree with?

>JFA Anything other than dead last
>DD that high
Nope. Get some better taste then we can talk.

I dunno, Apollo felt pretty aggressive in this one. He didn't back down from things like asserting there were two Bonnies or accusing Amara.

Athena in this game felt like the one who got flustered at every roadblock and setback.

No

DD is pretty underrated desu. It has the best soundtrack, best prosecutor, introduced best girl, best final boss, best DLC and has a great conflict (THE DARK AGE OF THE LAW) which leads into the best final case in the series.

For the games I've played it's

SoJ=T&T>PWvPL>AA>AAI>JFA

He disagrees with the existence of the list.

That's not in any way shape or form the best last case of the series

>which leads into the best final case in the series.
No.

But how else am I supposed to feel good about my opinions if no one validates them?

No.

Edgeworth Tier:
>AAI2

Blackquill Tier:
>PWAA
>T&T
>SoJ

Godot Tier:
>JFA
>DD

Payne Tier:
>AAI1
>AJ

They're YOUR opinions, you shouldn't have to worry about what others think of it in the first place

>Skipping the best mainline game
No, user. Go play DD right now.

DD belongs in Edgeworth tier.

>Can Nick defend Apollo himself while also reminding him of why he became a lawyer in the first place? Can the Phoenix re-ignite Apollo's flames?

literally reads like a fanfiction synopsis

When will SoJ's honeymoon phase end?

This "honeymoon phase" could end and people will still say it's a good game. I don't get what this "phase" is supposed to mean anyway

When will the the original games honeymoon phase end?

>honeymoon phase
When the fuck did this meme start?

SoJ=T&T>AA1=AJ>DD>JFA>AAI

6-2 and 6-5 are some pretty good cases, and the others aren't too bad either. There's definitely less handholding this time around.

Death really is kinda meaningless in this series, isn't it? The dead people seem happy and comfortable enough when they get channeled.

Except for Dahlia, anyway.

>he dead people seem happy and comfortable enough when they get channeled
They haven't channeled Jove

Anyone have a gif of Dhurke thinking? Need this badly

It's best to not think about it that much

In a world with channelling, surely everyone would be channelling all the fucking time? Plus, historians would be useless, you can just ask an infinite sample of people what happened

It's the new way to be a contrarian

people you disagree with are all delusional and under a "honeymoon phase"

I no longer need to argue that I'm right because of this made up thing

Yeah. I feel like the afterlife shouldn't really be touched on if you wanna give death any actual impact. The more you know about the afterlife, the less scary death becomes. Unless death is eternal damnation of torture, but that's a separate thing altogether.

AAI2 = 3 > 6 > 1 = 5 > 4 > AAI >2

So far it's been mostly used in very specific cases that are all about channelling, it's never touched otherwise and kept rather vague

That's probably the best thing to do, otherwise you open a whole philosophical can of worms

But there aren't plenty of Spirit Channelers in the world. As a matter of fact, they touched on this by saying Khura'in can create their North-Korean-like system without interference because of the few favors they do with channeling to other countries. Also channeling takes a lot of energy from a person so you can't exactly do it everyday and you can't channel unknown people for history lessons. Literally you would only get the testimony of people in textbooks (that would be already recorded on said books anyways)

LAAAAAARRRRRRYYYYYYYYY
YOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I was disappointed by how AAI2 didn't really seem to mess with Edgeworth nearly as much as AAI1. Needs more NNNGGGHHHOOOOOOOOHHHHHs.

Sure, but you'd still expect Maya to be fully booked 100% of the time for all kinds of purposes - murder cases, but also talking to dead relatives, etc. There's a lot of reasons to contact dead people.

Because it would take a whole lot to top I1-5's double whammy of Larry + Old Bag.

Why is Apollo so popular with the girls?

Honestly, that's kinda why I love AAI1's final case so much. The revelation that the Steel Samurai and Pink Princess were actually Larry and Oldbag the whole time just blows every other shocking revelation out of the water.

I'm sorry, but Simon just can't beat that.

Honestly, out of all the lawyers in the series, Edgeworth might be the best when it comes to reacting to crazy shit. He's not as used to the general insanity of his world as the defense attorneys. Nick has lots of sarcastic monologue, but Edgeworth just screams all the time.

I can't believe how good the animation in the 3DS games are. They did a great job in the transition from sprites.

Can someone please explain what was so bad about DGS? People shittalk it a lot but never explain why.

>So anyone one know if SoJ sold good?
Who gives a shit.

>Any chance for that game that takes place in the industrial era?
After Investigations 2 gets localised, so literally never ever.

When will some supporting characters get BTFO?

Everyone makes fun of the attorneys. Someone make fun of Trucy and Ema's bullshit.

>DUDE MOVEMENT LMAO
It's also not that it's bad, it's just extremely average. People think having a good soundtrack makes up for its many faults.

Ema got made fun of all the time in AA4.

Trucy is Nick's darling little angel.

>Making fun of science
What are you, stupid?

What does everyone see on Ace Attorney Investigations 2? The first case was bad, and so far the second case is looking bad too.
The "logic chess" doesn't make any sense either, and the judge bitch is well, a bitch.

>but never explain why
At least give me an explanation that isn't fucking memes and I might be convinced.

Apparently the main complaints to be that the game story feels unfinished and the cases being too disjointed?

>only 4 more viable days of AA discussion to go before we go dark again
This truly is the worst feeling.

>Payne's son as prosecutor
>is a shota

To be honest, the logic chess segments were kinda hit-or-miss for me. They weren't even that hard since all you really needed to do was ignore the blatantly obviously wrong choices, like the pointlessly insulting ones.

Honestly, Phoenix has done his job and has outlived his usefulness, and like all great mentors he should be murdered or put to death in AA7. Athena needs a reason to exist.

The cases are all interconnected

>The first case was bad, and so far the second case is looking bad too.

you just have no taste, user

Honestly, you've done your job and outlived your usefulness, and like all massive faggots you should be murdered or put to death right now.

can't argue with that senpai, but in the mean time AA7 is going to be a disaster.

AAI2>T&T>PWAA>SoJ>JfA>AJ>AAI1>DD

all great though

Edgeworth NEEDS to get on that

>implying you should ever skip those choices

>loses his hair when you beat him anyways

Can someone tell me why Roger Retinz didn't simply kill Trucy directly? I don't get the convoluted plan of murdering someone who looked up to him and trying to frame her for it.

Because he wanted to ruin the granddaughter of Magnifi Gramarye. Killing her would have only ended her life, it wouldn't have destroyed her reputation.

>no porn of those huge tiddies

He wants Trucy to rot in jail as a murderer instead of dying a heroine

Would you fuck the clown?

why are a lot of faggots pretending 6-3 wasn't amazing

Remember the "uproar" over Robin on the Tumblrs and by one hiimdaisy

>murder cases
Oh yeah, because that worked SO well in the past.

One of the first things you get taught about investigating is that what people can tell you about what it is they seen is often inaccurate and unreliable. You can get 10 people to witness the exact same thing, and most of their recollection of the event will be different.

Dead people would be no more reliable, seeing as they are not compelled to tell the truth, nor is their memory made perfect or whatever.

Not even the deviation seance is free from this, since it obviously relies on the victims memory to an extent (Plumed Punisher theme song being mixed up with the Steel Samurai one for example.)

That's all true, but obviously getting the victim to give testimony is the #1 priority if you've got the ability. Not every actual case is super convoluted shit, sometimes it could just be as much as "that guy killed me" as a confirmation.

Where does the "4 days" figure come from?

Because they're stuck on Maya being the defendant again instead of all the amazing shit in it like Rayfa as an assistant and that fucking Thought Route.

I'm estimating the mileage for the DLC case. It's not looking good senpai.

The problems in the Phoenix Wright world kinda revolve around complex cases though.

Obviously the Police are competent enough with the more straight forward ones for the courts to be so heavy in favour of the prosecution.

Also, as we seen in the newest game, once people know that shit is being done, they just start to find ways around it.

>Oh, she is BAD!
>he's wrapped around her little finger
>real smile is the best
>bride material

What the fuck is her problem?

People still think Zak's ghost isn't posessing her.

BAD GIRL

What did she have in her purse?

A Klavier x Apollo image drawn by Vera.

Condoms

tampons

Rice wine

Remember when Wright literally cross-examined a parrot? What the fuck was wrong with him? What a hack of an attorney.

t. Manfred

And then, ten years later, he cross-examined a whale. A fucking WHALE. He should have stayed disbarred.

Much more magic panties.

Reminder that Apollo and Athena would never do anything as stupid as call an animal to the stand.

BOTH times it was essential in him winning.

Also, if Von Karma didn't want him cross examining parrots he should never have offered.

I am still mad the shit show of an Anime changed it so Phoenix didn't get the idea to cross-examine the parrot from Von Karmas gloating

Oh come on. It was just luck.

It's always like this with him. He always presents some stupid off-the-wall suggestion that ordinarily wouldn't make any sense at all. The only reason he wins is because he gets lucky and, for just that one single case, something he suggests actually works out.

It's all luck.

and you know, his clients are actually innocent, which is why the evidence is there to begin with.

I know, right?! The only reason he wins is because his clients are innocent! If they were all guilty, then he'd lose!

Definitely a hack.

I never understand why people say Speckled Band is bad.

Is it because it's a full investigation case? I think Holmes and Joint Reasoning carry it at least to mid-tier.

Grand Departure is demigod tier and if you disagree you're wrong.

>A dead person can't save anyone

Someone didn't play 3-5.

Phoenix cross examining the parrot wasn't bullshit.

Manfred fucking re-training the parrot in case it DID testify is bullshit.

Main series shitters are mad that a game released before SoJ has better animation, music, writing, and characters. They cling to "DUDE CLIFFHANGERS LMAO" when the game is intended to be the start of a trilogy, which was what Shu Takumi wanted for AA from the start. He made AA a standalone game because he thought it would never get a sequel.

There's also the fact that DGS feels more like a labor of love. Takumi originally wanted Ace Attorney to feature Sherlock Holmes and be about correcting his deductions, and now he's essentially making his dream game using concepts that largely inspired AA.

SoJ is good, but it feels "by the numbers" with Phoenix being trotted on the cover even though Apollo is the main character.

How come the DS versions of AA2 and AA3 didn't have extra cases? Were they too lazy?

Because it's retarded.

In T&T's case, there's no way to give a good follow up to a fantastic case like 3-5. Dunno about JFA.

>Brooklyn Nine-Nine is the closest we'll get to a good Ace Attorney comedy show in the US

Are people losing the high of a new Ace Attorney game? Discussion seems to be dying down in these AA threads.

Uendo's "Lady" persona is kinda hot

>Buzzwords

_he's a slut.

>Phoenix saved Ema and her sister.
>Ema's more interested in Edgeworth.

>Phoenix adopted Trucy and showered her with affection.
>Trucy cares more about her shit biological dad and his troupe.

>Phoenix gave Apollo a job and taught him everything he knows.
>Apollo ends up copying Kristoph's mannerisms instead.

>Phoenix inspired Athena, gave her a job and saved her in her time of need
>She's interested in everything other than Phoenix.

>He always presents some stupid off-the-wall suggestion that ordinarily wouldn't make any sense at all
First off, he didn't present the parrot. Manfred offered. Second of all, Phoenix knows his clients are innocent (well, most of the time) and even when they're guilty, he does whatever he needs to in order to get the right verdict. Even if that means questioning an animal. That's one of the reasons he's such a good defense attorney, he's willing to do crazy shit if it can help him expose the truth.
Also this

>Phoenix is a legendary figure in law, pulling off feats that baffle veterans as early as his second case
>no one ever gives him any fucking respect
Phoenix had a hard life.

He's got maya and pearl.

Maya just repays him by getting framed for murder or kidnapped all the time.

At least he'll always have Pearls.

Don't forget Edgeworth

>Maya just repays him by getting framed for murder or kidnapped all the time.
Plus he's her special someone ;^)
And the buying food probably helps a lot. Still, at least she actually repays him for it, unlike most everyone else is his life

>Pearls
>Literally punches his shit out whenever he looks at another girl.

Nah Maya a best.

Yeah, but she visits him, cleans his house and plays with his daughter. That's more than what most do.

>he doesn't want a cute little girl strictly protecting his relationship with his "special someone"
Get a load of this faggot

What if I don't want Maya to be my special someone user?

>Pearly notices that Nick and Maya aren't getting any younger. Soon, Maya will be well past marriageable age.
>She decides it's time to resume the goal she set for herself as a child. This shipper's ready to set sail once more!

Refer to this statement

I don't think she has done that since she was a kid.

Sounds good to me

>AAI2
>towards the end of Case 4

HOLY FUCK BASED JUSTINE

Reminder to remove all Gramarye scum.

I'd still hit it

But user, what if you somehow get him drunk and he turns into Owen?

That only makes it better in my opinion.

I'm cooking up some dumb AA writefaggotry but I guess people are either playing the DLC case or avoiding thread for spoilers about said case.

Man those sharp Japanese eyes make my dick hard.

Real Mr. Reus was badass though. Easily the best criminal of the game and top contender for best of the series.

He was a petty loser who killed an innocent young man for a stupid reason.

>telling me a bad person is bad
next you will tell me water is wet

As for the loser thing, he isn't, he beat Trucy.

But Trucy's not the one in jail.

Just a prank bro

No. The defense stand has a "kick me" sign.

irrelevant

>yfw no tricks or gimmicks
youtube.com/watch?v=gk7Rfl4rpHo

>implying AA takes place in Japan

Eat your ramen, Odoroki-kun.

>Replay Rise From the Ashes
>Nick is constantly getting caught off guard every time Gant praises him
>Gant's gonna be revealed to be the villain later

God. I just realizes how sad this all is. The only one who really gives Nick his dues is the culprit.

Wait, this dude killed somebody and tried to frame someone else and didn't get the death penalty?

>chief prosecutor
>has to prosecute a case because the rest of the prosecutors are a bunch of pussies

Based.

I guess he got a lighter sentence because it wasn't premeditated.

>Nick and Gant will never go swimming with Udgey

More like sad. All that means is that as competent as he is as a prosecutor, he's apparently not very good at finding good employees. The only good prosecutors under him are Blackquill and Gavin.

B-but muh DARK AGE OF THE LAW!

He still needs to try harder.

Well, at least he and Nick are two for two. As sad as Athena can be at times, she's probably still better than most attorneys. After all, she has nothing but wins under her belt too.

This case was great. I'll never understand why people don't like it. Not every case has to be an epic super long case connected with every other game in the series. And unlike Big Top, Recipe, Monstrous or Serenade, this one had likable characters, good humor and a coherent plot.

Maybe it's too japanese for them and they just want to eat their hamburgers.

And then it becomes the Ghost Trick x Ace Attorney game we've all been hoping for, and Sissel goes back in time 4 minutes to stop Phoenix from dying and is also the prosecutor.

What happened with Gavin? Isn't he back in Germany or something? The only prosecutor under him seems to be Blackquill, since he needed to ask Nayuta to prosecute.

I also loved that case.

Short, but sweet.

>download the OST
>track is called "Psyche Lock (Variation)"
>don't listen to it, thinking it's used for some special Psyche Lock thing in the last case
>finish the game
>it's actually the same as the normal one, but without the intro
youtube.com/watch?v=WbhQhayznko

And here I thought they would do something new with the locks again since the game is all about spirits and shit.

Well he seems to be working on other cases.

and Nahyuta

Nahyuta is officially a prosecutor of Khura'in.

Where'd you download the OST from senpai?

Here you go

drive.google.com/file/d/0B4atLqCvfqJcU1VxYUVwUmY1Y3M/view

Thanks.

SoJ just uses Psyche-Lock 2013

Not premeditated. Most likely convicted of manslaughter since he was in a panicked state. It really depends on the situation, but pretty much for the most part first degree murders (premeditated, unremorseful, etc) would receive life/death sentences

>2016
>there are still countries in the world with death penalty

He's known as "The Turnabout Terror, who leaves legal destruction in his wake"
I'm pretty sure every NoName prosecutor is terrified of him.

Gaspen wasn't. Though maybe he's just too stupid to realize.

Second Degree murderers and (most) Accomplices get life in jail, while First Degree Murderers are executed almost immediately.

He wasn't because he wanted revenge, and he's a fucking Payne.

It depends on the state of course, but there could theoretically be cases where second degree does not net a life sentence. California's minimum second degree sentence is 15 years I believe

You'd think Payne learned not to fuck with Phoenix, we're talking about the dude that got his defense lawyer convicted.

Nick's lawyer was Apollo, and the one who got convicted was Apollo's boss.

>meant to play AA series forever ago
>finally get back to Rise From the Ashes
>just beat it a few hours ago

I could only play a few hours a day but that was a hell of a 3-day ride. Holy shit, now where do I go from here? I was emulating the the original but I'd rather have the games on a comfy handheld. My first instinct is the trilogy on eShop but I've seen pictures of the "HD" sprites and I honestly don't care for them.

Either get a flashcart or deal with the sprites.
The 3DS Trilogy isn't even that bad when you compare it to the iOS version.

Release order faggot. Stick with the DS versions.

its funny how people always try to find a way to force ghosttrick in

Hope your emulating and then buying the ones you like.

It's one of the most universally liked games on Cred Forums

How is it forcing? It's very similar to Ace Attorney it's fucking fantastic, and was made by the same creator. There's no reason not to bring it up

Can Ace Attorney be further enhanced by actual puzzles during the investigation phase?

Not super-hard shit, but moderate point click adventure stuff.

Having finished this game I have to say I liked every thing about it. Such a step up from DD. And I don't even think DD was bad or anything.

So who had the longest case in the series

Wright and Rise From the Ashes

Or Apollo and Turnabout Revolution

Which one was more satisfying?

Is the DLC case live either today or tomorrow? Check the DLC and it isn't up for me.

non clown Geiru is kind of a cutie

>Apollo briefly channels his dragon spirit unknowingly

Personally, I think from a puzzle game standpoint, Rise From the Ashes was more fun and interesting.

Case 5 in SoJ seemed to be much shorter to me because it was 2 different cases, Rise from the Ashes just took ages to complete.

What kinds of lawyer/assistant team-ups would you like to see next?

Personally, I'd like to see
>Nick & Trucy
>Apollo & Klavier
>Athena & [spoler]Franziska[/spoiler]
>Nick & Kay

Rise from the ashes was longer

But it was garbage outside Ema and gant

Will AAI2 EVER be topped?

Easily. It already has. By multiple games.

How come no one in the Wright Anything Agency actually seem to know anything about law or law enforcement or forensics or ANY of the relevant technical knowledge?

It must seriously BURN at the other defense attorneys who worked their asses off in law school.

Nigga, they all went to law school. If they don't know that shit, it's because defense attorneys aren't taught that in the AA universe.

On that note, the reason they don't make much money is probably because criminal defense is ALL they're really good at.

Can you imagine Nick or Polly giving legal advice, or going through contracts? Trials aren't the only parts of a lawyer's job, after all. The majority of a lawyer's job takes place outside the courtroom.

>mfw they actually pulled off a semi-competent Star Trek Generations and then said fuck it and kept Shatner in the sequels

But other characters are constantly expressing shock when Nick or his employees are revealed to be ignorant of certain things.

Are you in the wrong thread?

And how are they supposed to know what kind of education defense attorneys get in Japanifornia?

How long after SoJ should AA7 take place?

If that's the case, then it's no wonder most defense attorneys are shit. They don't get taught a damn thing.

Actually, if you think about it, when we saw Mia and Greg do their work, they were always pretty much flying by the seat of their pants too. Don't you see? This is how a defense attorney HAS to work. They have no other choice. They're given nothing but chicken feed and hickory sticks to work with. The reason other attorneys aren't as good in this world is because none of them are able to keep up.

>they actually mention Gumshoe and Mia by name in Turnabout Time Traveler
About time.

Fuck you, Dual Destinies was great.

Ace Investigations I is the weakest in the franchise. Shame it killed its sequel from getting an official English translation and Western release.

It'll probably be a year forward in time and I think that works unless they want to go some completely new direction

An entire thread with pretty much no girl discussion. I'm proud of you guys. But I still gotta end it with at least a little bit of tradition.

Not that user but DD felt way to moe. Everything was over the top from the lawyers reactions to the anime cutscenes. Imo its the worse Ace Attorney, but so far I have been really enjoying SoJ.

Apollo Justice staying behind in Khura'in means he won't have a big role in Ace Attorney 7, right? Outside of the obligatory one trial there, so we can have a return of the Insights mechanic and not completely write Justice out.

Nah. I don't think any trials would take place in Khura'in. I think Apollo will come back to Japanifornia near the end for one case, presumably to make up for Nick's absence for whatever reason.

There's no need to discuss girls because everyone knows Rayfa is the best

DS was already a dying system when they released Gyakuten Kenji 2 in Japan. Capcom of America probably didn't see much profit in releasing the game in west anymore.

The epilogue kind of hints that they'll resolve the thing about Apollo and Trucy in the next game.

...

Time for another wild ride with the Gramaryes! Oh boy, I can't wait!

Maybe they'll retcon in a new troupe magician.

>I think Apollo will come back to Japanifornia near the end for one case, presumably to make up for Nick's absence for whatever reason
He'll come back to Japanifornia to defend Nick for the murder of Lamiroir.

It might be better to bring Zak back into the picture again. Maybe some other sin of his from the past coming back to haunt Nick and Trucy. One that connects to Thalassa as well. Someone with a deep grudge.

Shatner = Wright.

...

They could've been over and done with it if it weren't for DD revolving around Athena and that unnecessary Clay stuff. Oh well, maybe next game.

How do you expect Nick to bow out of the picture? He's still the owner of the firm.

...

DELETE THIS

Zak died?

...

What's wrong?

Don't you remember? 4-1, when he came to the restaurant Nick was working at under a fake name. Kristoph killed him. He's been dead for a while now.

Don't be silly, that was just some guy named Shadi Smith.

...

It's amazing how Trucy doesn't bear any resemblance to Zak in the slightest. She's a carbon copy of her mother.

Genes sure are wacky. I guess even DNA knows how shit Zak is.

Goddammit! Why are all the cute tittymonsters in this series criminals?

>Lana Skye's smile

Come to think of it, has Nick ever seen Trucy's "true" smile?

The Maya must never be sexualized.

How can they be so perfect?

But that's Mia.
Here's Maya.

It's the Fey genes. But it looks like they weaken with each generation. Pearly's already in her mid-teens. She's not gonna grow much taller than she already is. And I don't see much hope for her chest, either.

Maybe the Fey have found the secret to immortality.
