income they presumably used for V's development

now look at their major money earner -- GTA Online
for as long as they can milk that cow they'll be able to pour more effort on R&D considering the new consoles' capabilities; I mean just look at how good Battlefront looks
when they finally announce their next game you can be sure your balls'll drop so deep they'll end up in China

but that's just wishful thinking on my part

Used to work in the industry, got some info from company spies. Most of you will probably ignore this post but whatever. Maybe someone will appreciate it.

They're working on RDR 2. They had some (unspecified) issues with development. They're taking their time because they want it to be great. They can afford it because GTA V sharkbux are still selling like hotcakes. Also, like a lot of other AAA developers, they've cut down marketing periods so we'll get the game within a year after the announcement.

This didn't surprise me when I first heard it. What did surprise me is what they're working on next: Bully 2. I'm not shitting you.

Maybe all their "exciting" future projects are related to GTAO.

They used to do one game a year, even multiple, but now they're really taking all the time and money they need on each project--more than before. I'd like to hope they're revamping their tech, gameplay, etc.

The Agent trademark was renewed right before E3 this year, so I foolishly hoped that would show up at Sony's conference, but of course it didn't happen. I want Agent or Bully 2 more than a new Red Dead, because we all know what to expect from Red Dead.

The protagonists are Michael's son, daughter and Trevor. It'll be funny to play as his retarded son, it'll feel the 'female protagonist' slot people were bitching about in the previous game and it'll keep Trevor, the crazy man and most beloved character from GTA V, as a controllable character.

Alternatively, you could have Michael's son, Lamar and Trevor. In both cases, Michael will still show up a lot in the story and side missions. Franklin won't be seen.

I really hope gta 6 goes somewhere new like chicago or Philadelphia, and is a story about the italian mafia. It could be set in the 40's, 70's, or modern day even. It's a timeless scenario, and seeing how the mafia games are failing to live up to that name, I could see rockstar making a better story including mafia sattire and italian family life.

Currently there is a big creative dispute over them adding or not adding a version of Disney World in the map since it would have to include Children (the killable or not killable debate) and of course potential legal action from Disney itself. However Everglades and Cape Canaveral are supposedly a thing

Last but not least there was a sequel to Bully in early pre production starring Jimmy again this time going to a private College in the UK. However there was some legal dispute with the Brits who didnt like the idea of having a miniaturized virtual version of their Capitol due to the fear of having terrorists doing practice in there. You would be AMAZED at how much incompetence there is. Security stuff like accidentally leaking passwords, screwing up the entire build by implementing unchecked stuff, newcomers changing core gameplay code without checking with anyone. It happened on a daily basis. And that's not even mentioning all the HR and PR fuckups. What you have to understand is that loyalty, as in not complaining about working unpaid overtime and weekends, is valued a lot more than competence in workers. They invest 1/3 of the budget in marketing for a reason. Nobody gives a shit about gameplay if it's hyped up enough

MP2 had casualized gameplay and a convoluted story anyway, never understood how people were disappointed by MP3's story.
