We got game updates now but a day one game breaking bug will tank a game and cost time and money in updates.

I can say firmly that those crunch times are the only times when people are working at even 50% most workers are either learning the engine the first few months/years or just talking on their social media site of choice all day. The crunch is the only time when people are actually doing any substantial work. With all the turnover and people leaving the moment a project is finished makes it so that new people have to come in for each project who don't know the engine.

If you want to start something new you better afford those hard working early years with little to no returns. That's just entrepreneurship. You can make your game about whatever the fuck you want it to be, but for it to be successful you need to spend the effort make it good, not to appeal to some social conscience to make a case for it. Unions are terrible for any industry. You think shit is bad now. Wait until you have a bunch of retards revolting because they've been triggered and no one cares or thinking they should be able to take as long as they want to get games done. Unions are good for the first year or so they exist but then they never go away and find ways to justify their existence and paying dues which you are forced to pay.

Look at dock workers in California. They literally just operate a machine all day and think they should get outrageous wages for it. They decided to revolt because they wanted more money for reasons. The result? Massive delays to businesses all over the world, huge losses to companies shipping perishable goods, even slower process rates than before and higher costs to everyone but the faggot dock workers.

You have no idea how bad things will get for everyone but the workers once a union exists. There might be some need for change in the industry but a union is not the way to do it.

Kind of, It's true women are focused more on emotions, or at least they tend to enjoy fiction that explores emotions more. Making emotional decisions that come out of nowhere just isn't true though. There's always a reason, and exploring that and making it understandable is good writing.

When you look at something like Metroid Other M, which tends to feature everything you're talking about. The emotions displayed don't fit the character of Samus at all, and were done purely because the writer based his perception of women characters much like you're talking about, which only self perpetuates lame writing.

Both men and women can be emotional, and still be logical. Both of my parents were in the military, and while my mom was more emotional on average, they both displayed a knack for knowing how to approach problems logically and rationally, even when put under emotional distress; They've been married for thirty years and they work well together, and get shit done.

You could say that's uncommon, but I'm just saying it's possible. I don't think having more rational female characters is a bad or unbelievable thing or inherently unlikable thing, even with the higher emotions.

Who knows, maybe focusing on that instead of a perceived vision of how females act might retroactively make young girls strive to be more level headed. At least that's how I see it.

Well you're probably right. For instance, I did like the Divergent movies. She acts very much like a woman but she's still smart and reasonable. There are times where I roll my eyes but most of the time, I like the character.

Same with Hermoine in Harry Potter but I haven't seen that level of writing or acting in videogames. If the rumors are true, it's probably because this is where failed directors and writers go to spread their garbage but I don't know if that's true or not.
