Hotline Miami is a really shitty and simple and poorly made game from a technical standpoint and it was probably just a small handful of schmucks making this in their free time over a year or two. In order to make the map editor they had to make a fuckload of shit just to figure out how to simulate mini-gamemaker inside their game. They're not some big dev studio that can sic 30 guys on it for 20 days and shit out a polished version of it that fast.

For comparison Hotline Miami probably had about as much code as a game like Undertale to a certain degree, if that gives you can idea.

Do ya'll thin Hotline Miami 2 is worth beating Cred Forums? I played a few levels and I kind don't like the level design so far. These wide open levels with shit tons of enemies are annoying.

I liked it a lot less than the first game. Like you, tons of people were annoyed by the radically different level design. It's worth playing through though, even if it's only for the last level.
After you beat the game you will be able to A+ rank everything in HM1 no sweat.

My problem with Hotline miami 2 is the same as puzzle agent 2: both are good games but 2 takes a peek beind the curtain; while kills some of the charm still a fun ride
