How much of a rip off of Team Fortress 2 Paladins is?

Paladins is battleborn done right. They have the gear system in battleborn and paladins has the card system. Battleborn has the level up system during the match and paladins has the buffs one buys during the game. The only thing that battleborn has over paladins is that it has ai enemies or creeps that need to be fought as you push to the enemy base. The thing that paladins has that battleborn doesn't is a playerbase and it has that in spades.

It's only the projectile hitbox that need a fix. Overwatch's hixscan hitbox is completely fine, unlike Paladin's one where you can kill people behind wall with hitscan.

In the case of TF2 characters crossing over to other games, I'm sure Valve doesn't give a shit and are happy to let you do it. Paladins is not the first game to do this.

Killing Floor had Pyro
Dungeon Defenders had Heavy, Pyro, and Medic as pets
Sonic All Star Racing Transformed had Heavy, Pyro, and Spy.

I'm sure that it isn't difficult at all to license the rights to use them.
