Have to fight an evil version of yourself

>Have to fight an evil version of yourself

I remember fighting myself in that shivering isles quest in oblivion and thinking to myself how much better the NPC was at using spells and shit than I was.

>party member gets possessed
>have to fight them

>You can gimp the fight by removing all your equipment before starting and then re-equipping everything

>party member disappears for part of the climax of the game
>comes back acting as though nothing has happened and continues fighting by your side
>later in the game turns out he was working for the bad guy from that point on

>Party member gets possed
>Crit Heals enemy team

>Your build is so fucked up the AI goes full retard

Oh boy is that fun in siralim
>fight evil version of your party
>your party is based around putting debuffs on yourself to power you up
>enemy just slaps debuff on themselves without powering up

>the world is upside down
>your starting weapon is now the strongest

After the first mission you lose your weapons and abilities and have to spend the whole game getting them back again

>Have to fight a black version of yourself

>game has some sort of overused cliche story/gameplay/final boss element to it

I felt the same in the Finnegan fight in Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers
He summons all of the same demons you do so you can have a manly mirror match, and he whooped my fucking ass with my own demons

>implying cliche is bad
There's a reason it gets used so often you hipster fuck.
Copy and pasting shit is not okay but just because it's been done before doesn't make it garbage.

>game has overused cliche you could see coming from a mile away
>don't care because everything else makes it hype as shit

name 5 games that do this

>Boss is a floating head with hands

Zelda fucking LOVES this.
>Bongo Bongo
>Gohdan
>Mazaal
>Ramrock

>Have to fight an evil version of yourself
>He got the same equipment you do
>equip yourself the unique rare accesories
>You can steal his items to get more broken shit

Makes me think of dark link, because his health is the same as yours. So you could cheat by going in with 1 HP and basically one shotting him if you managed to not get hit yourself.

>Boss can steal your equipment too
>Becomes stealing pissing match that lasts for hours

kek

>Supposed to fight an evil version of yourself
>Since the protagonist is a hard worker, the evil version can't be bothered fighting you
>Instead tries to stop you by trying to convince you to stop fighting and slack off together instead
>Evil version you appears multiple times and there's no real downside to accepting evil you's offer every time (although she makes you pay for everything so each time you play with her it ends up being more and more expensive)
>Evil you can gain relationship points like other people in your party
>Evil you will eventually start trying to flirt with you and try to seduce you
>You can have sex with evil you and become lovers
>Evil you joins your party if you become lovers
>Has a shitty MP pool as a reflection of how they don't do much work, but they're basically a clone of you so they're pretty good regardless
>Evil you will die after you beat the final boss together

>boss becomes good after the fight and joins the party

>turns out said evil version is actually you
>it is revealed in the true ending that you suffered a split personality and said evil version was plotting to destroy all
t-thanks sega
