you shouldve seen the texture pop in in Bloodborne, especially post-patch, hoo boy. just going down a ladder looking down and youd suddenly see all the grass and rocks and shit spawn in it was quite bad.

I don't know I played the Nioh demo and although the gameplay and the atmosphere was pretty good, I thought some of the aspects were cringy. When he runs he has his sword out like something out of Naruto. He's basically just Geralt with a katana. The shrine mechanic I thought was pretty neat. The game is good but it's cringy. Dark souls is edgy but still in undecided. I thought the game was better than I thought it was going to be

Bloodborne had a few really weird, quirky bugs like that.

particularly, one very rare bug was spawning in an empty world during an invasion.

personally, while I appreciated the changes they made to the second demo, I really preferred the hard as balls approach of the first one, where stamina management was key and if you used it all up you were left panting like a retard for a few seconds

It's the power of the Bloodborne engine. At least DS3 doesn't have entire parts of the world unloading even when you can still see them from behind the doors

I'm convinced that Carthus and Demon Ruins are proof that DaS3 was going to have chalice dungeons at some point, and when it was scrapped they just turned some of the leftover content into fixed levels.

I'm a very patient guy, but I could not bring myself to get through all of the chalices. I went in order of difficulty and got to about 5 or so left, but holy shit, I just could NOT take anymore of the exact same visuals, and room design, and the occasional "Oh, you missed a material? Fuck you if you think you're doing the next one."

I like the concept, and I was initially really looking forward to it, but after actually playing a few, it quickly became "ignore absolutely everything and just try to find the important things to refight bosses for a 5th time.

It's as much "infinate" extra content as mindsweeper is. The rooms aren't randomly made, just stringed together differently. Hell, all they do for different chalices is put a different filter over the camera and change a FEW background assets. They're all almost the exact same.

yeah they can get very repetitive. but if you ever want to try to go through those again take a slow burn approach. Basically just play through 1 or two layers on and off over the course of 1- 2 weeks.

I suppose it's also my own fault for trying to marathon them. I did most of them within a week.

don't forget all enemies scream now, the new hollow model looks straight up like the pthumerian enemies from the dungeons, and everything has a 1000 hit combo, even the basic hollows. gone is the slow methodical combat of the previous games.

and it's clear that they originally wanted to do away with equip burden entirely. all the previews and even the network test, had no equip burden. and its clear the game was designed around fast rolls, since the game takes after bloodborne's combat, which also had no equip burden.

As well as different enemies, bosses, rewards, and a few unique set piece rooms for each type.

Yeah they're not perfect but DaS3 was an opportunity to improve on them. To see the feature ditched after the first try is disappointing. And it's not like DaS3 brings anything new to the table to make up for it. I'd rather play Depth 5 FRC chalice dungeons than repeat the exact same levels with the exact same enemy placement in DaS3 NG+.

I haven't even played DS3 yet so I have no idea, but I would rather not do a level 5 of any chalice dungeon twice, as doing it for the first time in not so much different as the last XX hours spent in there.

i thik they should have spent more time on ng+ content and different things happening during the different moon phases.
