What reason is there to think this?

Jenova is an alien asteroid who smashed the planet and infected the Cetra

She looks like a cute girl and not a normal asteroid because she was designed by the Japanese

Some lines from a npc named Shinra talking about harnessing the planets energy for electricity in X2 made people think X is a distant prequel to VII

Hes been Mario all this time, hasn't he?

then why would yunalesca go to space, get on a meteor and then crash back down after thousands of years?

I am Yunalesca.

Even if we go with that extremely loose connection, that wouldn't explain what Yunalesca has to do with Jenova.

She wouldn't, people are retarded

it was literally confirmed this was true.

however, the people of Spira were said to board ships and go off to the planet of FF7, this is why the Humans of FF7 are considered alien entities by the Planet, unlike the Ancients who were the original inhabitants.

Jenova is basically The Thing mixed with Lavos

exactly.
the Luna = Jenova is even more plausible and even that is slightly retarded.

She looks like that because she's a shapeshifter who was trying to trick the ancients. Also I wouldn't call her cute.

>the Luna = Jenova

Explain

post confirmation then

>it was literally confirmed this was true.
Wasn't that just the some of developers speculating about a possible connection? I don't think it was meant to be taken seriously.

a theory on youtube that says that by the end of FF15 Luna will sort of sacrifice herself in order to take the Weapons (as seen in FF7) with her to space on a meteor to go through the cosmos and then crash on the planet of FF7

even if FFX is a prequel to FF7

Yunalesca died LONG before even FFX afaik, she was unsent during that boss fight, and then finally did get sent

and this is one of the major plot holes regarding FFX as a prequel to FF7, once people die in FF7, they die like in real life (except for that weird planet energy rebirth thing)

in FFX however, they stay undead until they're sent, as Sp00ny put it "Death is just a minor inconvenience in Spira"

how do you explain this? is it something about the new planet?

Genova is
Yourmomlol
But the weapons came from the planet itself.

buried deep underground by the crash.
but as i said, that theory is slightly retarded.

That would make me carry a unecessarily long sword

Yeah they have completely different mythologies, it just doesn't work.

Well, if "death is just a minor inconvenience in Spira", then the unsent thing is related to Spira and not the humans

youtube.com/watch?v=QOVMxv16nrE here, this one.

That retarded shit should stay on youtube. Don't bring it here.

its long been known in FF that each planet has its own rules

FF9 shows us this, Gaia doesn't function like Terra.

FF9 also cemented the idea that all the FF universes existed, semi-seperate of each other.

kek

Cyberunique had a porn site on FLAA with some good stuff of the more esoteric Final Fantasy characters and the whole thing just sort of vanished in the night. Now I'm sad that most of those are probably just gone forever. There was a good Jenova one.

...

are you guys arguing that "Spirans" magically turned into "Gaians"? how does the property of a soul change when visiting a different planet?

>BUT THAT'S JUST A THEORY
>A GAY THEORY

>how does the property of a soul change when visiting a different planet?
Some convoluted ripoff from 9

you seen the monsters in that game, if i could i'd use the biggest longest sword i could to minimize getting hit

To be fair, given that FFVIII is basically a big time loop I can see how people might come up with this. The X/VII connection is really forced on the other hand, it's literally just because there's a character that happens to be called Shinra.

But guns exist in that world

Did something go wrong with her shapeshiting, or did she just decide to have an eye nipple for the sake of it?

>as Sp00ny
Stop

You mean BB guns?

But user everything after Disc 1 is in Squall's head

shinras descendats went in a space ship to ff7 world. this is known.

the rest of his planet werent mary sue enough to follow

It was probably sealed halfway through transforming into monster form after being found out like The Thing

I don't think Jenova is Yunalesca. But a thought came to my head about the FFX-FFVII bridge. The only way the Farplane is maintained is if the Guado do their thing. In X-2 it is merely described that the Farplane is a mess, but we never really see what would happen to it if years went by. What if at some point the 'gate' between the Farplane and Spira broke and the entire planet was overrun with undead fuckery? At some point Shinra would escape the planet with a large enough population for a colony and land on FF7's planet, where he would continue his research and make Shinra company.

Jenova is probably just an alien asteroid as described originally.

that was back when he wasn't trash you know

>Genova
(You)

This theory was confirmed in one of the big ass books they release for you nerds by the way. It IS canon. Deal with it

I want more porn of her.

Someone in FF7 said the planet created the weapons when something happened, don't remember what, could have been Jenova

It was the threat of Jenova reviving

Watch John Carpenter's The Thing.

no watch john thing.

no thing

thing

The movie has bad acting. Amazing practical effects though.

I don't remember any issues with the acting, but yeah you watch it for the effects and the paranoia.

I don't know its just weird and they don't really seem to care much about alien technology.
>Oh hey an alien spacecraft, lol.
>Oh a monster, heh
It's like it doesn't even really affect them.

Did they actually notice the spaceship? I don't remember.

They stood infront of it and on it.

It was a painting too.

Yeah, but did they see it? It's hard to notice something that big when you're right on top of it and it's under ice. Not saying you're wrong, I just really don't remember them actually noticing it.

...

Alrighty. I'm due for a rewatch around Halloween anyway.

That's just the way acting was in the '80s, everyone was aping Marlon Brando's method of low-key presentation with varying levels of success

she's the ff version of the thing
