Combat is not unique in any way, and it's not done extremely well. Therefore it is simply 'passable' and/or functioning, which is not bad or good. The characters are not very engaging, though their design is above average in my opinion.

The main reason most people dislike this game, and certainly my biggest complaint with it as well, is the writing. The story is uninteresting, the dialogue is cringeworthy, and it just ends up feeling like the writers sat down in the boardroom for a week browsing the internet and compiling shit they though would be 'funny'. The licensed music is good though.

Yeah fuck the scaling in BL2. It felt at times that I needed to grind out some gear after moving into a new area. It was ridiculous how quickly numbers started jumping up after level 20.

The only thing I used for any period of time is a grenade from the explosives boss. But mostly because I didn't find a single grenade mod for like 8 levels.
Giving all the weapons a manufacturer was really awful too, because it was getting to the point that I couldn't for the life of me find an assault rifle that shot bullets and 90% of everything is useless before you you even look at the stats.

Another thing I'm mad about is how the DLC characters were 10x more interesting to play than the default dudes. It's almost like they sucked potential fun things out of the main cast to sell as dlc later.

I literally would not have been able to play bl2 if it weren't for the fact that I edited the file that had golden key records to the max number possible when that was possible, so that I always had appropriately leveled purple gear.

At some point I ran out and was like "guess I'm never playing this game again."

You have to grind a lot if you want to have good grenade mod (and more if you want class mod) since the fucking vendor is pointless in BL2 while in BL1 you can get orange stuffs from it
Assault Rifle in BL2 is all awful, you either get a high acc high fire rate but terrible mag size or great mag size and terrible acc, the gimmick of guns is fuckup, especially Torgue and Hyperion, Dalh and Jakob follows up (oh look you can fire as fast as you click but the gun can only load 2 shells!)

I hated how gimmicky every other gun felt in 2. In 1 it was easy to find normal SMG's, normal AR's, and normal shotguns. In 2 it feels like my biggest enemy is my own weapon and the only weapon that outputs decent damage is always some gimmicky shit that's frustrating to use.

I found one SMG that felt like an actual normal weapon.
I refused to part from it to replace it with some retarded looking weapon Burch probably thought looked totally "badass" and just edited the stats to take me through the entire game.

I hate what they did to revolvers. In 1, they had a good balance to them. High accuracy, damage, and usually a crit bonus in exchange for low ammo capacity, low fire rate, and a lengthy reload. It rewarded patience and aiming with high damage crits, and punished spraying and praying.

And mashers, oh sweet cinnamon titty jesus, mashers on a gunslinger Moerdcai with the crit perk and all was right with the world.

playin with zero at 2 playthrough here, the scaling go totally nuts after level 40, you are selling your oranges and replacing them with grees every 2-leves, 99% of blue submachines don't have any element, shotguns are a disaster, rifles are even worse FUCK the forced manufacturers mod's. Man it's just...idk...boring. Playing through the campaign is pretty normal at first, but then it very quickly becomes a goddamn chore and not fun. (And this happens pretty much right when you get to Sanctuary).

The classes are nowhere near as good as they were in BL1. Going from playing Lillith to playing Maya is just an absolute downer. Phase walking was so awesome, but then we get some boring CC skill. Likewise, if you enjoyed building a sniper in BL1 which was actually viable, in 2, Zero sucks so much fucking ass as a sniper and can do jack shit by end game.

I tried to beat this turd 3 times. 3 FUCKING TIMES!! It is literally the only game I've ever played that felt like such a fucking slog to just beat a simple campaign that I just couldn't fucking do it.

And the worst part is, it's not even that much of a step above BL1. I don't even give a fuck about the awful story, characters, or writing. There's just an inherent flaw with the game that I can't pinpoint that just makes it feel completely and utterly boring to play - which is crazy because I had 0 problems with BL1.

I think my biggest beef is the guns, which the series revolves around. Not only does it feel like there is less variety in the guns somehow, the way certain traits are specific to gun companies, but they're also all generally shitty if you're playing along normally without any sort of DLC boots or gold keys.

I remember in the first, buying from just a common vending machine, a near-legendary shotgun which lasted me the rest of the game, another 15 levels at least. For this game, you can do some big special quest for the reward, kill a boss, or go through 10 loot crates, and still never find really anything good or memorable/fun. Certainly you won't find a gun which you'll be using for more than a level or two.

So yeah, my main complaint, for almost the entirety of BL2, it felt like I was using shitty guns which didn't do fuck all. Actually, it didn't feel like that, it *was* like that. Even doing a play through with a friend who had like 60 gold keys so we could hit it up a few times every few levels, there still wasn't shit all, that we'd be using for more than a couple levels. For a FPS which is based around the guns, this is enough to make me hate the game. Hate playing it at least.

when you do, remember you can cheese the fight by staying just inside the entry tunnel. he won't follow you in there and pretty much all of his attacks will be nullified, but you can still shoot him.

Not who you are responding to but good legendaries can last 7 levels or so ahead. It is about picking the type of weapon that is going to be made most efficient with your character & beefing the damage through relics, class mods, & spec.

As well, you can gimp chests by restarting the game & do loot midget runs or farm specifically for a certain weapon. Find out where the best weapon stops for your char are along the way, maybe do loot midgets for an hour when you get to the Wildlife Preserve.. beat the story, grab some upgrades, repeat for the next play through. This is not too necessary for the first run.

Terrible writing and mediocre at best gameplay do not a fun combination make.

Transformation, body modification (includes hourglass expansion), mind control/mind-break and lactation are the easier ones to find.
Fusion, despite being a subset of transformation, is the more obscure one which doesn't turn up very often, and even /d/'s very rare fusion threads are flooded with a particular artist's stuff that I'm not much into. It's a major fetish for me, which means that having my own personal drawslut for it is perfect.
Those are the main ones, anyway. There's more lesser ones.

Both the lore and design of the worlds are quite nice as well. The game also always has something for you to do, so if nothing else it's a way to waste time.
