I'm surprised no one tries to make replica's, the only new ones you can buy are Chu Chu Rocket's and Sonic Adventures that were never sold, with everything stripped off because they were in such surplus in a lot of stores.

Overwriting the data is pretty much the same as formatting, user. That's my understanding, at least. If files are deleted, there's a chance at recovering. But when that disk sector is occupied by other things, the data values are just straight up changed.

Yes, I do believe that what deleting a file does is mark that as disk space that is available for use, and so when you download something new it'll use that space if it is needed, I assume it'll use actual unused space if able to, but I'm not entirely sure on that matter, so don't quote me on this
