i think that for the money the xbox one is the best value console you can buy right now. i can pick one up for about £260 with fifa 17 if i wasn't poor ;_; and for a console that's pretty good value considering you get a wealth of back compat titles and now nintendo emu's for no extra cost. i think that if you're even considering a console, shit like 900p vs 1080p shouldn't even be an issue because we all know that the experience is gonna be shitty compared to a pc anyway. there's no reason showing off 1080p on ps4 if it runs at 18 fps (ie witcher 3). for the price of a ps4 pro you can probably salvage some used parts off ebay and build a much more powerful pc for the money or you can simple use ~£200 of that and buy a gtx 1060 and stick it in your current pc, which will last twice as long as both the xbox one s and ps4 pro anyway.
tldr; xbox is the best value console. pc is still the king for anything over £350.

I won an xbone and that shit is garbage. It came with 2 years of xbox live and titanfall. Titanfall was kind of cool until I found out it was on PCs and therefore could have been played better.
The xbone as a whole is completely disappointing. Even the free games I get which come out at goofy intervals making you go online to get them like every 2 weeks or something are really pretty shitty.
Microsoft should buy out sega and let them do the xbox moving forward. It's too bad even if they bought sega microsoft would micro manage them and prevent them from doing something that wasn't shitty widest margin of profit garbage anyways.
