How is a GTX 950 for running games at 720p?

How is a GTX 950 for running games at 720p?

buy an xbox one instead

But I can get this for £25 for some guy I know.

that's a good deal. do you have a 720p monitor? because it's not that bad, you can run quite a lot of games at 1080p at high settings.

Literally perfect.
It can easily run most games at 1080p/60fps too.
Expect over 35fps in games like GTAV (all High) and Witcher 3 (~medium). MGS5 should be 60fps all High, and Source games literal piece of cake to max.

Why don't you just give him head and get it for free?

It´s a small overkill for 720p, good enough for 1080p in many titles.

>buying any of the modern consoles
>buying ANY of the Xbox toys, ever
can you shill any harder??

Because my uncle sells him crack.
Yeah, my 1080p monitor died a while ago so I'm using an older one.

I play on 1080p and it's fine, even overclocked it.

If you're playing 720p games on this it's a little overkill.

considering I´m still using an old GTX 560ti with mere 1GB of vRAM, playing at 1920x1200 with no issues, I´d assume a card 4 generations newer with twice the memory to perform at least slightly better.

H-How? What newer games are even able to run on that thing?

it's a perfect card if you dont have money or are in a really tight budget

get it

>720p
The fuck? I haven't run a PC game at less than 1900x1200 for like 10 years and even before then it was 1600x1200.

I get pretty consistent 40-60fps with my 950 on only 8GB of RAM on newer games.
Witcher 3 runs at about 40 fps on maxed out settings
Majority of FPS run at 90+ (Siege, Battlefield, ect.)

1920x1200 I mean.

950 is super underrated, I love that card.

Why the hell did you skip from 720p to 1200p? 1080p master race.

Get out

>What newer games are even able to run on that thing?
MGS5, Killing Floor 2, Talos Principle... just to name few.

Obviously I don´t "max out" and use "Ultra" settings on any of them, but neither do I have to use the absolute lowest anything. MGS5 especially ran at steady 60fps all High, and Talos defaults to all-High too, but I always tweak it manually (those options menus are huge and sexy!).

I didn't. I had a 4:3 CRT before I got a 16:10 LCD with 1920x1200 native.

>60hz is still the standard for 90% of the market
>mfw been using 120hz for over 7 years

my 750 Ti handles 900p at 60+ fps in a fair amount of games
so I'd assume 950 could do it really fucking well

25$, why the fuck not? It's a great deal.
