It's not the greatest thing ever, but the only reason anyone could really dislike Haydee is if they just don't like 3D platformers or the character bothers them.

It works, it's enjoyable, it looks decent, and it's cheap. My only real personal complaints are the kinda bland music and the fact that the poly counts on the characters could be better.

It was an awful short game that was perfect example of worst trends in the game industry, the idea that anybody can be a writer and dosnt need any input from an editor or any type of criticism on their work, and the idea that simplification of all gameplay mechanics is a way to attract new people into the industry.

This is one of those cases where the sexualized content actually causes issues with the gameplay.
The character was clearly not designed with the gameplay in mind, and the camera was similarly designed not around what would work for gameplay but rather for giving the player a good view of the character's ass and tits. And this is on top of the other basic things they fucked up, like controls or making the game interesting in any way beyond the character's design.

Haydee has a weird difficulty appeal where trial and error is half the fun but it is also a gamble to fucking over your save

When I play Dead Space there is no real trial and error, most everything is linear
The challenge and fun is clearing out the rooms and trying not to get spooked

In Haydee you have to take guesses and record results as well as clear the rooms and sometimes try not to get spooked
Since Haydee is ultra indie and I think the devs is actually just one ruskie they decided to make the game longer by not allowing linearity to justify its sale price

Going back to $60 Dead Space, if Haydee was a linear game with little back tracking (like DeadSpace, although you do backtrack a bit) by length Haydee would probably be worth $1

I don't know if artificially expanding your game by removing linearity (or rather by not-including linearity) is OK by most but it at least makes it a weirdly unique game instead of a standard TPS

No, there's a subjective reason for people to like or dislike any game. I haven't played Digital Homicide games, and I doubt you have either, but even if we take a game like Big Rigs, which many consider to be one of the worst games of all time, there are still reasons to like it, like for the curiosity appeal, just seeing how broken it is, or using the infinite acceleration thing. Witcher 3 could be spoiled for someone for literally any reason,say if they don't think the game is faithful adaptation of the books.

At least in Haydee I can project my own story onto the blank canvas of the game's story
