Only real problem was lack of Monokuma
Standard DR bullshit other than that

Not really, it's just that the series didn't really need another drama story considering almost every bad guy was dead or reformed.
Despair Side was a nice addition even though brainwashing was too much of a deus ex machina.
Future Side was completely useless though, nice moments and all but ultimately there was no need for another killing game.

IMO Danganronpa as a whole is just a 7/10 series with DG2 being the 11/10 game

Memes were worth it desu

Gunposting and Juzoboys ;_; were the best tings to ever come out of DG3

I really love all the screen time my waifu Mikan had

It was something to look forward to every week and I enjoyed it personally. Plus, nothing wrong with more waifus.

HEY YOU BASTARD

>Plus, nothing wrong with more dead waifus
FTFY

It gave memes and the best girl

Its fine my waifu woke up

It doesn't really matter what it does to the overall story and all that. If the ride was sufficiently wild, it was worth it. And this ride was definitely sufficiently wild.

Not full Nagito's Wild Ride levels of wild, but still enough.

It did:
>DR2 Chiaki:
>A reclusive AI that gave her life to save everyone. Nobody will ever remember her sacrifice which is pretty bittersweet
>DR3 Chiaki:
>A messianic figure that will be worshipper by her classmates forever. The AI Chiaki will live in Hajime's head and if not can just be recreated at any time. In reality there is no reason why to not just do that and upload Chiaki to every computer in existence since she's obviously the second coming of Christ

Why isn't he wearing an eyepatch in the Hope episode?

He is?

He isn't for some reason.

Thought he'd be the resident Togami-type but I ended up liking him in DR2.

DR3 as a whole would've been so much better if it didn't spend time on shitty new characters.

>Thought he'd be the resident Togami-type
He pretty much was, he just stopped being a dick much sooner.

Daily reminder that Makoto tapped this shit when Kirigiri was 'dead' just like Nagito mostly likely did to Junko's dead corpse before cutting off/taking one of her arms.

...

So did his sister deserve it?

Probably not, but she was asking for it. Especially when acting like a main course student in the reserve course. People are a bit touchy about that sort of thing.

It made thins infinitely better, because it confirmed that I survived and have a robot hand.

Also 7

It made me drop DR for good, yes. I thought ZTD was the worst finale ever, but Kohackcha proved me wrong.

Try again hope boy

Wasn't DR3 written by other people and simply "supervised" by Kodaka (whatever that means)?

5

What a shame..

The overarching DR plot was always kind of shitty. The self-contained killing game stories were what made the series popular, and those are continuing in DRV3 so I'm not that disappointed.

Made DR2 ending suck ass.

I'm done with the series now, the guy focuses TOO much on making the talents pure bullshit to excuse anything than actually focusing on making the murder mystery's any fun.

I've been doing this since you were a babby, hopeman.

vr3 will save the series

Fuck off hope toaster

>HOPEBOT
>NOT MC
Can't wait for you Kaede shitters to get btfo

So? Uchi only wrote one route too, but both had the responsibility to bot fuck the series up, and they failed to do so.

I think the problem is that there's so much incongruity and shit that doesn't match up.

For example, why the fuck are the hope's peak lot even fighting despair? Like how is an ultimate gardener, ultimate folk dancer, ultimate whatever actually physically fight. We see people just bust out swords and have ridiculous aptitude with weapons and it's only slightly tangentially linked to their ability.

Like Munakata was just an expert swordsman 'cause, it had nothing to do with his ultimate ability. Makoto runs into Munakata and is like "I'M GONNA BEAT HIM WITH HOPE", and is way too vague. Like what is he gonna do, argue with him? Munakata's swinging his sword around like a crazy and Makoto's like "I'm gonna use hope."

And even with all this shit explaining everything, it's still not clear how exactly a lot of this crap happened. To have it all become mindhacking and brain control was a huge copout, and it still didn't explain how the fuck hope and despair work.

That shit didn't matter when it was a murder mystery with that stuff as the setting, but now that they're fleshing the world out so much, it's really annoying that everything's so vague.

>Female protagonist
lolno

Cant wait to see that piece of shit get killed in the first case

I guess. I'm still not ready to go REEEEEEE SERIES RUINED over some shitty anime like the "overarching plot" of this series meant fucking anything.

Danganropa is the Homestuck of anime.

>vr3 will save the series
>with a female MC

kek not a chance, females have NEVER carried a game and made it good

He was always confirmed to have survived:
>Probability of them ever waking up is close to 0
>If only there was someone among them who always has odds in his favour
>Hmmmmmmmmmm

>grand finale of the series before the reboot
>i-it's anime so it doesn't count
Fuck you

So? This is the finale to his fucking 3 games and he allowed such garbage to be used to finish them off and passed his clearance

The faggot even tried shilling his KK manga when itself was some pointless garbage

Future side was absolutely pointless, if they had Despair side with bits tying into what the FF was doing at the current time (since all the important people are important in Despair too) nothing would've been lost.
The new killing game didn't need to happen, the NG codes served zero purpose in the end save to "kill" bacon through absolute bullshit, and nobody in the FF mattered except Chisa and Tengan.
DR2 characters getting individually mindfucked by Junko being rectonned was the worst thing it did, but global subconscious mind-control was a good way for an analyst to take over the world.
It wasn't neccessary.

>being invested in the "overarching plot" of a series that has always been batshit retarded and full of hack writing and then crying because the grand finale is retarded and full of hack writing

Nah, fuck you.

aren't you guys suppose to be shitposting in a mafia 3?

DR wasn't ever carried by the protagonist though. I'd say that the first one was carried by Monokuma the second by Monokuma and Nagito.

I'm just pissed that literally all of them survived. Would have made sense if only Nagito and Mikan woke up, cause they both knew it was a game.

I mean it basically renders literally the entirety of DR2 completely pointless, since nothing in that game mattered at all.

Name a good game that was carried by a female protag, i dare you.

Did he go back to Inaba?

They were always going to all survive, saying "oh it will take a miracle for them to wake out of the coma" or whatever they said was code for "they're all going to wake up completely fine". You should have already accepted this after finishing DR2.

Umihara Kawase

I mean you're just going to disagree with everything I say shitposting guy but metroid

Bayonetta

>story driven game
>story is shit, bu DR apologists are okay with that. They also believe Junko is a good written character, and that brainwashing explaining everything was a good twist

Me too, user.

> the guy focuses TOO much on making the talents pure bullshit to excuse anything than actually focusing on making the murder mystery's any fun.
Kodaka said upfront that mystery wasn't the main focus in DR3 specifically.

Honestly, I get the impression that he wanted to wash his hands of the HPA stuff for good so that people won't complain when he reboots the series in January. All these new characters, Makoto being in a trial that goes terribly wrong, DR2 characters coming in at the end to save the day like the DR1 guys did in DR2, all that shit could've roughly worked as modified DR video game with it just being one super long mystery (maybe take on more of an Ace Attorney Investigations model?), Kodaka wanted the devs on V3 instead though and that's pretty telling.

It ruined the despair sister's characters

He said a good game

>robot
>a fucking object
>being MC
>being love interest
>being anything other than the first victim due to no one caring about robot "losing a life" in the first place like no one cared about Alter Ego

Story in DR as in things that actually happen during the killing game is good. The things that happen in the outisde world are trash most of the time. Both games could've just ended with Monokuma coming out- admitting his defeat and just letting everyone out without explaining anything and nothing of value would be lost.

Overarching story is a hot mess, the smaller individual mysteries within said stories are enjoyable (and the main draw for most people). DR3 had less of the latter and more of the former.

>Satou killed Natsumi
>Ryouta liked anime too much
>this leads to the world being destroyed

Dumbest addition to the series. Somehow even dumber than Ultra Despair Girls.

>Tomb RIder
>Walking Dead
>Longest Journey
>Syberia
>bad

Which is why it sucks

>Monokuma coming out- admitting his defeat and just letting everyone out without explaining anything and nothing of value would be lost.
kys

I'm fine with all of them surviving, Hajimeme got his people out of there.

Aside from Hajimeme and maybe Sonia, none of them seem particularly rattled about everything that's happened at all though and they went for the fanservice-y route with their return instead. That bugged me way more. Also fucking Mitarai got off way, way too easy.

Suck my dick

> mfw just noticed teruteru's dead portrait cross isn't actually a cross but a fork and a knife

Why is he so hopesome?

Mitarai wasn't really guilty of anything though. I mean yeah Junko stole his anime, though shit. Kyosuke on the other hand on the other hand killed multiple people and his only excuse was "I was angry and confused".

Yeah, especially since we've been teased that some of them look completely different as despairs.

They just turn up in normal clothes looking exactly the same, not 1 day older than DR2? I mean shit, some of them fucked corpses, cut off their hands, starved themselves to near death, cut out their eyes. None of them seem to really have been affected.

>i should accept literal bullshit all the time because the word miracle was uttered

Yeah by his luck, another reason why the series sucks, talents like that just fix everything with no effort

Mitarai was a cowardly dumbass but essentially his only crime was getting caught up in the plans of other nutjobs (Junko, Tengan)

...

DR3 was so much about giving everyone a happy ending I wouldn't be surprised if dead people from DR1 came back.

>Kyosuke on the other hand on the other hand killed multiple people

>killed tengen
>the fag that orchestrated this
>killed Juzo
>the fag that allowed Junko to get away and lie to his face about it

Did nothing wrong

>Yeah by his luck, another reason why the series sucks, talents like that just fix everything with no effort

But he uses his talent to fuck everything up most of the time.

It's not like you can just kill people and walk away in real world just because people you killed were assholes.

I think it kind of ruins DR2's cast, since it makes then good boys who aren't responsible for their actions. And it removes mystery behind how a complete mental like Nagito who was turned on only by hope ended up being one of the Remnants. Bottom line, Despair side was kind of a mistake when it wasn't focusing on DR2's cast.

However, I think the point Kohacka was trying to make was that regardless of the circumstances, they still were Remnants of the Despair and they can't just brush it off "we dindu noffin" since they actually did do those things. But don't take my word for it.

Oh, and ending was just a fanservice episode. I enjoyed Mirai way more than I thought I would. Your enjoyment solely depends on how serious you take Danganronpa. If you are actually into Kiibo vs Zetsubou, you aren't going to like it.

>with no effort
That's the issue I had it with it, but I disagree with everything else you said. He figuratively killed himself to become a talent god, it's not just Luck that he has but a bunch of others too, if anyone would bring the class back it'd have to be him and it's believable enough in my opinion.

My problem with it all was that it was all so simplified. No one seems rattled about the shit they went through, hardly any reference to their time as RoDs were made, it was pretty much as if they were just pasted over from how they were early on in Zetsubou-hen. Their return being tied to talents doesn't have to result in this, it's just your more standard example of plain old sloppy writing.

Those 2 would have been sent to their death penalties anyways

...

Hope sure feels good.

WTF I LOVE HOPE NOW

Juzo wouldn't.
Also you forget he tried to kill Naegi mutliple times, which is also super-illegal.
Also killing people who would be sentenced to death is illegal.

I used to agree with how much I felt that it was a really wasteful ending to make it so that the Ultimate Despairs were pretty much dindus at the end, but I feel that it tied itself up very neatly as a result. When it comes to V3, which has nothing to do with HPA, we can actually continue mentally without constantly questioning "What the fuck happened to class 77? What the fuck is going on in regards to The Tragedy? Did they clear it up? Is everybody safe? Are we in another Junkotrap?"

Our assumptions and our minds are pretty much satisfied (or displeased, but to each their own), and they don't have to divert a ton of resources into explaining what happened to the world when we get to v3. Ultimate Despair became the new Hope for the world, they are going to fix shit up to atone for their sins (I'd hope), and since the Future Foundation is almost entirely destroyed and Ultimate Despair has been nearly eradicated (Monokuma mentioned that Despairs are an endangered species), V3 can now entirely be its own thing. I honestly feel the anime was necessary for V3 to be independent.

Shh, my wife is going to sing a song.

Watching this animation is actually a bit relaxing.

HAIL HOPE

>those elite FF guys Hajiman ran into on the way to the broadcasting room were nowhere to be seen when Makoto got there, not even as bodies on the floor or anything
What the hell did he do to them? Delete them out of existence? The amount of QUALITY in this episode was pretty funny actually, see how Nagito's robo-hand completely changes appearance in every shot of it.

Why don't you try again in a hundred years

Monokuma was recorded by Tengan though.

Before the meeting I think Brozu mentioned that they had "only" 40 terrorist acts or so. That's hardly endangered species.

And Kodaka will find a way to bring back Nagito, after all, he's getting his own anime.

...

Why is Junko so cute and perfect?

>That's hardly endangered species.

Compared to the literal apocalypse that the world had to suffer through for a solid year? I'd say that's virtually nonexistent.

To be honest everything after DR1 related to tragedy was stupid and unnecessary.
The ending of DR1 leaves the cast facing an uncertain world devastated by unexplainable evil, which is a great ending to a game about teens killing each other that is also about hope and despair. Sure the world has been destroyed but protags survived, which proves that there is a hope for humanity.
At the end of DR3 it turns out that it was just one teenager and her brainwahsing video, which changes unexplainable overwhelming evil into an easily explainable, manageable threat.

Kyoko is cute.

I always loved both. Without the overarching story and the weight the characters had in it, the murders wouldn't had any real meaning.

That's why the first and last murders in DR2 are still the most shocking and suprising ones in the franchise.

Look, the trials are awesome, but the main story with its lore it's actually pretty good. Although I give you that DR3 fucked it up.

Best and cutest Dangan

can anyone translate what's written on the bullets?

>you'll never have a .webm of this that cleanly loops

>Also you forget he tried to kill Naegi mutliple times, which is also super-illegal.

Well in the public eyes if they knew what naegi did he would have been sent to a death penalty too.

Juzo literally kept the one who fucked up the worlds real identity a secret and supported her, that would have been treated as a very serious crime.

>Also killing people who would be sentenced to death is illegal.
Not if you're the law yourself

GIVE ME MY CHISA DOUJINS

I didn't like the way DR1 ended either, honestly.
>Junko: The air outside is literally poison and you will die the moment you step outside
>Makoto: No we won't lol, because HOPE
>Junko: Well shit you sure got me, time to fucking kill myself

I'm glad that Kodaka is dropping this Tragedy stuff for V3. Hopefully the scope in general is a little smaller, it is pretty much inevitable that there's be some sort of dumb overarching story to the game's mysteries but maybe it won't be as bad as the HPA Arc's overarching story was.

...

The ending didn't really change much. People you thought were dead weren't and the only people who did die were newly introduced. It really didn't add anything, but I suppose it did make the remnants of despairs back story worse.

IS THERE ANYONE

>Well in the public eyes if they knew what naegi did he would have been sent to a death penalty too.

What did he do?

>Juzo literally kept the one who fucked up the worlds real identity a secret and supported her, that would have been treated as a very serious crime.

Nobody knew about it.

>Not if you're the law yourself

Is he?

I hope Nagito episode will be better.

Is this your wife?

>Nips will keep drawing porn of boatshit instead of the Class 77 orgy Kodaka was practically begging them to make.

>One superhuman analyst
>Her supersoldier bodyguard
>Her pocket god bodyguard
>Access to a superhuman animator who cheats via brainwashing animation techniques
>Manipulated numerous events throughout a school full of other superhumans, which was also simultaneously constantly dealing with coverups because they didn't want their secret frankenstein projects to get out
>She could freely brainwash 15 superhumans to do her bidding throughout the otherwise defenseless world, as well as finding access to a youth who had access to an extremely powerful tech manufacturer who could produce shitloads of war weapons to further destabilize normal society

Junko got a LOT of help, and got lucky in a LOT of areas. She had about 18 actual SHSL students backing her, an immense number of brainwashees before she spread her despair video everywhere (who killed themselves before The Tragedy even happened), and the Towa Company's entire backing (due to the fact that Monaca was manipulating them to help Junko).

Add that to the fact that the non-stop terrorism throughout the world, Sonia's country's onslaughts, Babyface's Yakuza, Twogami's impersonation of politicians (Togami himself included), and other political events included, and it really puts things into scope. The only thing I'm disappointed with was that the UD's weren't all disfigured by the end of 3, because the games mentioned they were all obsessed with damaging themselves to feel greater despair.

And this is my mistress.

>Aside from Hajimeme and maybe Sonia, none of them seem particularly rattled about everything that's happened at all

Fucking this.

They didn't even show the slightest bit of animosity against their OWN MURDERERS. You'd think they'd be fucked up over being slaughtered like Sainoji having her fucking throat slit by Mikan or Mahiru being deliberately smashed over the skull by PekoPeko. The fanservice was way too strong in that final ep.

>still no Mahiru's camwhore doujin

They explained that, actually. The air was filled with deadly poisons and the Towa company provided counteractive means of fighting it, despite having been the ones who made it in the first place. I don't know how closely Junko was operating with Monaca at the time, but it's very plausible that the air was actually lethal before Junko was aware that a fix was made.

the ones who died don't remember their simulation memories. Only the survivors do.

they'll show it in Nagito's ep.

But I thought that everyone but Hajime forgot about what happened during the simulation.

Guys, "Hope is infections!"

Kind of like how Makoto wasn't mad at resolution of case 5 when they voted to execute him while being fully aware he didn't do it.

>B-but Monokuma forced them!
How is that different from how Monokuma locked them in a building without food and water?

>Aside from Hajimeme and maybe Sonia, none of them seem particularly rattled about everything that's happened at all though and they went for the fanservice-y route with their return instead.
God I'm so mad. All we got were half an episode of boring action sequences.

Also Hajimeme's action sequence happening literally off screen even though it would've been the most exciting to see.

Why did he get the robot hand anyway?

The building without food and water was bullshit. What I liked about DR1 was that the motivations just pushed them into killing friends. That building was just forcing them into doing it, which isn't half as fun.

Why is Hiyoko so useless? Even Ibuki had her AoE damage attacks

Real Chiaki staying dead ruined everything.

To be fair, none of the murders in DR2 were out of malice or cruel favor like they were in DR1.

>2-1: Fear that Komaeda was going to cause something horrible, accidentally killed Twogami
>2-2: A desperate attempt to save Fuyuhiko, Mahiru was simply a means to an end
>2-3: Despair virus. Literally turned Mikan into her Ultimate Despair post-brainwash self. Hiyoko would probably give Mikan shit anyways, and Ibuki was infected with a virus herself.
>2-4: Starvation. Gundam and Nekomaru would probably be extremely happy with one another having died the way they did.
>2-5: Suicide. Nobody to blame but himself. I know it was murder, but the murder didn't exist

Even if they retained their memories, it's not like in DR1 where cases 2-1 all the way through 2-3 were just people being fucking garbage. Three of the cases in DR2 were desperation, two of them were made from extremely unfair motives.

The brainwashing was a copout, but it didn't feel like it for Chisa and the students that killed each other.

Besides, they should've just animated Danganronpa Zero... that novel made Junko seemed like the dangerous evil plotting psycho that she is; in DR0 she was shown fighting PHYSICALLY and explains why she fights so well (which makes sense for the fights with Sakura in DR1 and Akane in DR2).

But then why would they be back to normal in the first place? Shouldn't they still be in despair mode.

Oh right Izuru. Can do literally anything.

Because spamming Charm doesn't work when your enemies are already Charmed.

Junko in DR1 was a robot the whole time. What he thought was her hand was the robot's. Junko will return in V3.

Survivors remember.

Kazuichi made those mini Nidais in the real world after all.

I think what basically Kodaka is trying to say that even DR1's situation wasn't just pushes, mere fact that Junko arranged everything for them to kill each other is enough to make them not responsible for their actions, at least that's how Hopelet sees it and would still act beta in front of Sayaslut.

except for the part where they all tried to get away with it, attempting to kill them all

By the end of the game I was happy with the parallel that they were going for, it was interesting.

>DR1 cast were a group of close friends and the embodiments of Hope -> mindwiped -> a group of mostly distrustful kids who could be tipped into despair by temptations of wordly desire
>DR2 cast were a group of criminals and the embodiements of Despair -> mindwiped -> a group of kids who worked hard to get along and had to be very heavily pressured into killing each other

In both games what you essentially get is a sick joke played by Junko.

>What did he do?
Tried to hide the despairs and support them by betraying the FF. The world literally despises the fuck out of them and wouldn't give a shit what naegi was trying to do.

Juzo literally confessed it all to naegi and munkata ended up finding out him and chisa lied.

He basically is since FF were the only people trying to maintain the peace of the world

Peko never intended to get away with it though.

Because now he is Venom Hopeman.

Now it's:
>DR1 cast were a group of close friends and the embodiments of Hope -> mindwiped -> a group of mostly distrustful kids who could be tipped into despair by temptations of wordly desire
>group of close friends and embodiments of Hope -> mindraped -> DR2 cast were a group of criminals and the embodiements of Despair -> mindwiped -> a group of kids who worked hard to get along and had to be very heavily pressured into killing each other

Absolutely

Junko was always a shitty character but before they at least made it seem like she was actually charismatic and manipulative enough to make the DR2 cast fall into despair somehow.

DR3 just showed us she's a mary sue that had everything literally fall into her lap without even trying and she just MIND HACKED everyone.

The attempt wasn't to "kill them all" except for 2-5. It was "Oh shit, I'm caught. Guess I'd better at least TRY to survive and see what happens.". Hell, in 2-2 and 2-4, the outright intention was immediately to be caught, and in 2-3, killing everybody would be a benefit to the brainwashing. I think only Teruteru tried to get out with his skin, but in his defense, this was the first murder, and nothing else really made sense at the time.

>that had everything literally fall into her lap without even trying
No man, she ANALYSED it all! One quick look at Mitarai and she instantly knew that he had the one thing that would tie her entire plan together.

Because analysis.

Peko and Gundham were planning on being found out in order to save Kuzuryu/everyone. Nagito was murdered on a technicality. Mikan was brainwashed. So the only one who is totally responsible for hiding his involvement was Teruteru.

You forgot where Peko sacrificed herself and Chiaki TOLD THEM to kill her.

Why does Japan have such shit taste?

I liked the idea that Junko was mindhacked into going after Mitarai if she ever saw him and overall she wasn't Ultimate Despair.

You'll get some yaoi doujins I'm sure.

The future arc was fine.
The despair arc on the other hand was a total fucking mess and butchered the lore of DR2.

MINDHACC

>Majority of criticism towards Kibou-hen was that it didn't pander to Komahima degenerates
>Not because it was piece of shit fanservice episode

Did none of you watch the anime?

>Spots Mitarai and knows he has superhuman anime techniques
>Demands to watch his anime to see how well it functions and precisely how it functions, knowing that if it works like she wants it to, she can make use of it
>Finds out it's actually capable of literal brainwashing, which is far and beyond anything she could have hoped
>Bends it to her own abilities, making a brainwashing video that requires someone to be in a very weak mental state or already extremely emotionally influenced for it to work, so she forces people to watch videos of mass-murder, loved ones dying, or other cruelties to bend them into despair
>Even with all this, it's not really perfect, because Chisa resisted it until she was directly lobotomized

The only real shield she had was that HPA are maniacs and refused to let their frankensteins get out. Which allowed her to murder people and get away with it. But they've been doing this shit since Despair episode 1.

mindhacc video was a mistake

>Finds out it's actually capable of literal brainwashing
Why'd she make such a huge god damn fuss if she didn't know this in the first place? She just loses her mind over the fact that Mitarai can animate. Unless she already knew its worth, it wouldn't seem like something to get worked up over.

So who is the Destroyer of the World in Super Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the Destroyer of the World?

Because everybody she'd met up until then has a self-contained ability that can't further her goals. Finding an animator means she could easily spread animation. I'm sure she'd probably freak out the same way if she ran near Mahiru or Ibuki. Probably even Seiko or Teruteru.

>one of the main plot elements of DR2 is an organization called World Ender
gee I fucking wonder

I don't see that one chiakifag that keeps spamming the same shit every thread here I guess that means he was one of the Cred Forums DR fans

But she knew about Izuru, the most well kept secret in that entire school. If she knew about him, it's probably not a huge stretch of the imagination to say she has full access to every students record and would easily be able to pick students who might have useful talents.

How did the former despairs even know about Tengan's killing game?

But it could be anyone user

Isn't World Ender basically Future Foundation?

>ultimate photographer
How the fuck is that threatening in any way

>Izuru has all talents
>therefore, Izuru has ultimate analysis
>learned about the student council killing game from the motion of the waves as the movements and voices of the characters very slightly vibrated the building underwater thousands of miles away

Or there were some stupid incriminating documents on the ship they stole, I dunno.

I'd assume maybe it's because she was hunting Izuru down specifically because he was literally titled "Ultimate Hope", rather than because of his talents. She was trying to kill him outright, not recruit him. It just proved much, much harder than she imagined.

I don't think she was really looking for other students at that time, she probably just happened upon the supreme animator and then decided "This guy might be useful. He also looks like a bitch, so I can probably just tell him to help me and he won't back down."

Well she blinded that one sniper guy.

Mitarai probably just told them. Did they actually reference the killing game before they scooped Mitarai up?

>Still no Chisa doujins
>No doujins of her reverse raping Juzo while teasing him that Munakata loves her
>No doujins of her cucking Munakata with Junko( or random guys) to make him despair just to erase his memory in the end
>No doujins of her fucking the class 77th under the effects of the aphrodisiacs
>No doujins of her getting raped by Reserve Course trash
>Not doujins of her /ss/'ing multiple kids in a park just to end up killing them
>No doujins of her raping a sleeping Munakata in the third killing game (with everyone else sleeping the same room), getting dissapointed by Munakata's dick and endurance, but cumming at the moment of suicide, thinking of Munakata's despair

>If we ever get a doujin, is probably going to be vanilla shit

Is this what despair feels like?

With how absurd everyone's "talents" are, I could imagine she could make anyone look good or horrendously bad in the media with one tilt of the camera

If subliminal anime bullshit is a thing, then you can definitely spread despair through newpaper photos.

Favorite Dr3 meme?

This.

Actually with the whole memes and spreading information thing it's reasonable enough to imagine how she could be a threat.

Alternatively she could just nag people to death I suppose.

post swirly eyes chisa that does things to my penis

Chisa a shit, thank god shes forgotten.

>sniper guy
>guy

What a shame.

You know which.

YOU KNOW WHY.

youtube.com/watch?v=agYIdC7Zako

>Mahiru was more helpful than Fuyuhiko

Shut up JC Denton

Munakata was one big meme. Also there was Juzo disliking normies and Izuru literally mentioning memes.

>It all starts when hopeman accidentally kicks the rock

Who threw the gas grenades?
Who was in the helicopter?
Who moved the bodies to the underground complex?
How did nobody, not even Munakata who oversaw the construction of the FF HQ, notice a gigantic underground structure underneath the HQ?
How did somebody as thorough as Kirigiri not find the pictures on Chisa's corpse?
How does a bangle automatically detect somebody stepping on your shadow?
Why did Kirigiri end up on her back with the notebook perfectly concealed under her when she fell asleep forwards and the Antagonist puts you in a catatonic near-death state?
Why did Munakata say "You know why?" to Juzo? It's implied that he's killing Juzo based on what Tengan told him, hence why he blames despair right after killing him. But Juzo is completely in the dark about the "everyone being despair" thing.
Why didn't Kirigiri tell anybody or write down in her notebook that she was taking pills that would put her into a catatonic state and to get her medical attention once they get out, instead just banking on the off-chance a medical professional comes down and finds her?
Why would Tengan give Ryota an NG code like "revealing your talent" when the whole point of the killing game was getting Ryota to use his hope anime?
What was with Kizakura talking about how detectives are the causes of murders?
What was the point of bringing up Ruruka trying to form a splinter faction of the Future Foundation when nothing comes of it?
Why didn't Juzo just tell Munakata about Junko after she left?
Why did the Remnants of Despair in particular decide to take responsibility for an attack that wasn't broadcasted when the Future Foundation has many such enemies, not just those 15 in particular? Wouldn't this cast Naegi in an even more negative light to the public as it would mean him helping the remnants directly resulted in the crippling of the Future Foundation? Wouldn't they WANT to say the Remnants of Despair helped them to prove to the world that Naegi's HOPE works?

Can we all agree Nagito is the best character in the entire series?

Gundham and Nekomaru went out in a gentleman's duel. They wouldn't have had any animosity at all, they knew what was going on, and that EVERYONE was going to die if they didn't do their thing.

You know why.

Fuyuhiko already finished beating his goon offscreen. Also what kind of power can he have without having his clan supporting him?

Keeping Peko's panties wet is important though

HYUK HYUK HYUK

Juzoboys were incredible.

And in the end, it turned out they were right. Right all along.

This one but also
YOU KNOW WHICH

I started UDG after watching the anime.

Holy fuck, Makoto had it easy. He only had to see 10 people die. Komaru is going through a fresh hell every 30 seconds here. This shit is fucked and I really like it.

The life of Chiaki Nanami.
>waited to play games with her best friend/crush for a year, only for him to be a completely different person when she next sees him
>betrayed by a classmate and the teacher she greatly admired
>had the longest, most torturous execution in the series
>died thinking she had no impact on anybodies lives and thought she was useless (reality was the opposite)
>died in front of her best friend/crush while desperately pleading for him to remember who she was, only for him to break down in tears immediately after her death thus giving her no closure
>died in the most miserable way in the entire series
>had her very identity stolen from her by an electronic gestalt and even her best friend/crush would rather think of her than her
>her killer, Junko Enoshima, died with immense happiness and was able to get what she wanted in the end
>other popular waifus (Kirigiri, Mikan) came back to life
>only ever wanted to play games

If inaba is heaven, then yes.

Gameplay is off and some of the writing is really tryhard even by DR standards but all in all there's some cool stuff going on in UDG.

Who was driving RoD's boat?

Is it worth watching if i haven't played DR2?

>Mitarai probably just told them.
But he didn't even know about it?

GO HOME GAMER GIRL

You would probably enjoy it more that way.

>tomorrow is Monday
>but it doesn't matter anymore

Definitely not since the last episode is just 24 minutes of DR2 fanservice

Reminder that the DR2 cast get to live peacefully on a island for the rest of their lives and that Naegi got his waifu back while Munakata has to live with the fact that his waifu was a despair for years and that he killed his best friend

God no

Culprit-kun, of course.

you'd spoil a lot of shit if you watch it and then play/watch SDR2

AI will always be better

Thanks for the reminder to update it!
>never talked about any family even on the brink of death
>said "all she had were games"
Real Chiaki didn't even have a father like the AI Chiaki did, she had no home to go back to at all. She was a homeless orphan who wandered arcades.

Nice try, nerd. Check my 9!

Perhaps, as nothing can be ruined for you.

>get to live peacefully on a island for the rest of their lives
I'm assuming that they're gonna have to be on the move constantly now if they're gonna keep up this Remnant of Despair image.

Though yeah, Munakata getting no fucking closure at all was awful.

He can finally go back to Nanako

>''gamer'' girl
she deserved it

Shit

Shut the fuck up, that -thing- simply is not worthwhile anymore.

Well she did blind that sniper dude with her cameras flash.

They are one now.

You are like a little baby, watch this 6

I agree with you, although I do not think that there will ever be a game that will surpass Danganronpa 2.

I'm cynical enough to think that DRV3 will end up being Zero Time Dilemma 2.0 with brainwashing, mindhack and complex motives.

Here's some real HOPE!

Probably the same person who drove it to their island in the first place. It's not like they'd have a choice when a group of the most powerful people on the planet tell them to drive them places.

Sighs.

It's not worth watching regardless of whether you've played the games or not. All it does is just retroactively ruin a lot of things while the ending is basically the same as DR2's.

The story was fucking retarded after the very first game.

How did nobody notice that Junko was renovating HPA's basement to become a death gauntlet?
Why is Mitarai's whole moment about Class 77 telling him to stop running from his actions then immediately inviting him to do exactly that?
Why was Kirigiri so incompetent to the point it was out-of-character? She doesn't check the fake exit for absolutely no reason. You can't say that it was because Juzo and Ruruka were there because Juzo had no interest in killing them anymore and was just trying to get out, while Ruruka clearly had no more tricks up her sleeves as she was trying to physically stop Juzo.
What even happened to the rest of the boats that were heading to Jabberwock?
What happened to Naegi's parents?
Why is the city surrounding the HPA building (which is the same one we saw before as the barricades are still up) completely leveled with only flowers surrounding them?
How does Munakata feel that his entire reason for allying with Naegi, bonding over dead waifus, is now worthless because Kirigiri was actually alive the entire time?
Why would you change an iconic feature of the series (pink blood) purely for Asahina's fakeout death with ketchup, which happens in the SECOND EPISODE?
Why did the SHSL Sniper take 5 whole seconds to line up a shot on Ibuki and somehow get caught off-guard by Koizumi with a fucking camera flash?
Why is it called "Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak Academy" if Naegi literally reopens Hope's Peak Academy at the end?
What was the point of including Monaca at all and devoting a whole episode to UDG when she does literally NOTHING relevant to the plot besides raising a death flag for Kirigiri before fucking off into space?
What was the point of focusing a good part of the first 5 Future episodes and an entire Despair episode on the Class 76 conflict even though the only one who actually ends up being relevant is Seiko thanks to Antagonist?
What happened to Izayoi's gunblade, or the rest of his blades for that matter?

Why did they skip DR0 in Despair rather than putting it in the place of the aforementioned useless 76 conflict episode?

Not Ryoko.
no class 77th beach episode with Chisa in a bikini.

I liked the first DR game, but I have liked literally nothing else that has come from this series. It just wasn't built for a long-running storyline and trying to connect everything has made it worse and worse as it goes on.

>(which makes sense for the fights with Sakura in DR1 and Akane in DR2).

what the fuck are you talking about, what fights?

This thread is filled with amateurs.. Revel in my 7

One more:
Why wouldn't the Future Foundation be suspicious of Yukizome, who's entire class became the Remnants of Despair currently destroying the world? Why would they assume that somehow she was also untouched by despair?

...

They outright had a basis for DR3, gameplay-wise, in UDG. They had a rough idea of how to make a third person shooter/survival horror game, they just needed to polish that up and you're already well on your way to a DR3 game. You could fold the relevant parts of Despair arc into flashbacks (which they already pretty much did in Future).

Or even better, just leave DR2 as the ending. All DR3 did was make me dislike the whole HPA saga.

It fit the tone of the arc better. And the blood was always canonically red anyway. It's mentioned several times.

Also it gave us Seiko, so it's worth it in my book.

Yeah, it's clear that Kodaka thought that DR1 was going to be a standalone game. The deaths are for real, not a copout "it was all a dream" like DR2. the "sequel hook" is the vague shit that every writer does with the characters going to an uncertain future (though you could argue that DR2 does this as well) and Monokuma getting up as the stinger which is never addressed again. The cherry on top is that if he knew that DR was going to be a multi-part series he wouldn't have killed off Junko, as the stage play, which is written by Kodaka, ends with her survival.

Twogami is Pride from FMA so I pick him

That's just how it is

Yeah, we still have no reason to assume that Class 78 isn't still rotting in the freezers upstairs, right? Or that there's a self-aware Monokuma claiming he's the headmaster running around in the basement?

>if he knew that DR was going to be a multi-part series he wouldn't have killed off Junko

Well, he technically didn't, seeing as she came back as an AI in the sequel and spinoff.

What did they mean by this?

She's in a better place

>Or that there's a self-aware Monokuma claiming he's the headmaster running around in the basement?
Seriously, are they gonna run into this guy?

Yeah, but that was asspulling her back to life because she's the only alright antagonist Kodaka could write for the series (besides monaca, even though her whole gimmick is literally based around being Junko 2.0). We got shifty manlet and suspicious old guy when Junko wasn't written in.

You know why~

I can't believe he ended up as one of my favorite characters because of the memes

Why is the assumption that it's Kaede being raped? At best, it'll be that a murder is committed in the Love Hotel with signs of rape.

whats this about rape now

Same as this. Monokuma is a game whore who Spike Chunsoft pimps for money.

...

user, it's prison school.

Fucking shit, you're right. All you had to do was flood the building with Monokumas that can't enter rooms, it would make Monaka more of a proper red herring to begin with. Coupled with the constant threat of Munakata or Juzo finding you I could see it working pretty well. Maybe switch between Makoto for action sections and Kirigiri for simple investigations.

>Future arc
Unneeded in general since by the Hope finale things were basically the same as in the DR2 ending (except the remnants are awake instead of being implied to wake up eventually if they kept at it)

Hey guys I'm only here to check this 7

They are brother and sister, thats disgusting

Peko is probably the worst case actually.
She killed both Mahiru AND Mahiru's friend and killed Mahiru pretty fucking ruthlessly, no hesitation whatsoever, she premeditated it and even attempted to frame someone else.

And she did this all without being brainwashed.

So we would feel even more despair when we lost her.

I never knew monokuma played such a large part in conception and exist archive.

They aren't even together you fucking shipper faggots

Dude it was just a game lmao

She's yakuza, to her killing isn't really that hard to do.

Yeah, for all we know she might rape him instead. She presumably is a criminal too after all.

And there's a smart fucking plan. Memorable mascots sell products.

>Rape meme
this isn't even funny you degenerates

Komaru, another female mc from the series, got sexually assaulted by a lewd torture machine in AE and the guy looks crazy so people are assuming that he'll be extremely rapey when he shows his true colors like Nagito.

>>Walking Dead

Season 2 was awful kill yourself.

Do you seriously need everything spelled out for you? Shipperfags' attitudes in jizzing over it are gross, but the two clearly ended up together.

You forgot that another piece of evidence is that Uchi wanted Dio to rape Clover in VLR but backed out of it, and this could be a way for Kodaka to surpass him.

They're banking on Monokuma's popularity to sell V3 by adding FIVE MORE KUMAS

What is this?

What do you expect the twist is for V3?
>Protagonist dies and switches to Keebo/Detective if they're still alive at that point
>Most characters are lying/don't remember their talents
>Everybody's actually a bunch of talentless normies
>It's all a simulation (again)

The rumor that they may act as a jury in trials sounds interesting

I'm gonna guess that they'll act similar to the Monobeasts in that they'll guard the entrance to the next area/wing until a murder's committed. They might even go the extra mile and make the Kumas the wardens of each "wing" with their own distinct themes.

If the shoe fits.

Teruteru stabbed a man to death because he wanted to see his mother who may be dead

Peko did all that shit

Nagito tried to get everyone killed because they were previously affiliated with despair.

And everyone was just acting like their Despair Side themselves. Like they didn't just go through thick and thin, like they didn't just participate in a killing game where friends betrayed eachother. There is nothing wrong with them forgiving eachother, I can understand that. But these characters are so determined to force their gimmick on you in every scene that they appear in that it sacrifices any change in dynamic or development any of them might have. They just sorta live in a bubble isolated from the events around them.

Damn straight.

Just don't reply to him. He's been on this delusional tirade since Hope arc ended. Arguing with logic is pointless because he'll just outright deny anything you put forward.

>There is nothing wrong with them forgiving eachother, I can understand that.
Yet you can't understand that that's clearly what happened off screen before they arrived at the FF place? There were probably some serious apologies going on.

Yeah, I didn't like it either. It was very shallow 'fanservice' that insulted fans more than anything else. It almost felt like I was just looking at Junkobots acting out their personas. I would have liked to see a dynamic of the remaining survivors but they ended up ruining DR2 for me entirely.

>Kaede will fucking snap at some point, there's gotta be a reason why they went with Junko's stage actress as her VA. She'll stay the MC the entire time though.

Wouldn't protagonist dying destroy social links?

You forgot that Kaede's described as a cheerful, bossy 'leader type' who pulls others along. They might abandon hope vs despair as a explicit plot point, but there's no way that murders piling up around a girl like her won't break her in some way.

Yeah, which is why I don't think it's likely because I don't think Kodaka wants to put in the effort to write twice as many social links. I'm just posting it because it's a popular theory. Glad to see it's still going.

>Yet you can't understand that that's clearly what happened off screen before they arrived at the FF place? There were probably some serious apologies going on.
You very obviously did not read the entire post.
I don't care about the apologies, they can apologize offscreen all they want.
I care about the fact that nobody is acting any differently from how they were during episode 1 of Despair side. You don't find it the slightest bit odd that of all the characters it was Hajime the person who wasn't even a part of the class who had any sort of reaction to Chisa whatsoever? Or that Teruteru doesn't seem the slightest bit worried for his mother? Or that none of the characters act even the slightest bit differently despite the circumstances they have been through?
Fucking Byakuya Togami and Fukawa act differently from their DR1 selves.

>When you realise they gave a DR3 character more development than DR1 or DR2 characters, despite it just being a 24 episode anime.

No, anyone who thinks it didn't ruin significant aspects of the stories, some of which would affect others more, is a sugar fairy obsessed with washing over everything.

I still want to know how Tengan had no issue with Miaya being a robot controlled by Monaca.
I guess it had no way of fucking up his plans in the long run.

Do we even know if he knew?

Bitching about your mother isn't gonna make the mission go any faster.

Maybe his parents were homophobic and his neighbourhood was shit or something.

Actually, cap this, I bet when they release more details on the 74th class Juzo's backstory is going to be over the top grimdark like Akane's was. What kind of lazy parent spells their kid's name "thirteen"? And when he was born on the fourteenth, no less.

It's been shown that Miayabot had absolutely no skin, she was literally just a tincan with a paintjob. Whoever put the bangles on and carried them down would have realized she's a robot because of this.

Given how chock full of social commentary on current japanese society the dangan ronpa series is, it being set in the future is irrelevant.

There was just nothing left to discuss really. I think the only thing that went on were Junkofags every thread about why Naegi didn't cure Junko, which was boring and retarded to stick around with as it's just delusions and headcanon.

I agree. Both of them were top tier bros, would've loved to see more interaction between those two and by interaction I don't mean both of them attacking each other due to their broship with others.

Same actually. DR2's cast was good and in DR1 I felt like most survivors were bland. I was expecting DR3's cast to be boring and I expected a ton of development for DR1/DR2 characters, which became the opposite. However, I can't say anything about it as Juzo's arc was done perfectly and I liked Munakata a lot.

that happened to me and we're still cool

Nobodies asking for him to bitch about his mother.
It's about a change in demeanor that typically affects people when they have heavy worries weighing on ones mind.

Plus you're not even correct because him "bitching" about his mother previously got him to perform a heinous act that he would otherwise never even dream of doing.

Fact is, a "change to demeanor" doesn't have much of purpose for him in that episode. At best they could have thrown in a line about "Oh man, I'm still sorta worried about my mother. Can that be the next stop?" but they decided to go with the continued despairs plot point.

There's plenty of shit wrong with the episode, but your complaint is pretty stupid desu.

At least the japanese and korean fandoms keep churning out IF scenarios for them. ;_;

I usually hate gay pairings but I can't stop myself from loving Munakata/Juzo. What's wrong with me?

He got dat sweet (literally) Rurugirls pussy though

Best Nagito get there ever was or will be.

it hurts

Fuck. Now I just want to see some kind of spin-off manga.

>imposter is the only DR2 character that got some development
I'm glad for that, at least

So, this anime pretty much makes DR2 pointless, as none of the emotional impact retains any value because not only did everybody wake up but they're magically un-despairified, right?

Time to try again.

How could I forget about Imposter. Imposter was glorious as well. When he revealed himself to be Steven Seagal was wonderful.

he really deserved it.
he was just Twogami before DR3.

Yep. It also fucks up by not giving real Chiaki proper closure. The whole thing got fucked to hell.

Juzo's a fleshed out, surprisingly human character on top of being the broest of bros and you want him to be happy?

I thought that it was implied Chiaki lives on in Hajimeme's mind.

>So, this anime pretty much makes DR2 pointless
The entire point of DR2's digital world was to undespairify them you dweeb.

>not giving real Chiaki proper closure.
what? she's dead, it wasn't open ended or anything.

What a delusional retard

No. That was AI Chiaki. How did you not get that? She talked about how she was created and even said that they were separate people. It had nothing to do with real Chiaki's dying speech, either.

That's not how you close out a heroine's story.

...

Are you seriously somehow defending this shitty anime? My fucking god.

Nothing

There was a reason.

It starts with 'n'

Kirigiri's was about pottery. She would have had to sacrifice Naegi to save herself, just like she was willing to do in case 1-5

Her entire purpose was to die, and become a catalyst for the DR2 cast's hope. She did exactly that. We already knew she was going to die, so why is this a surprise to anyone?

I'm not defending the anime. Read what I'm saying. I'm saying some DR3 characters got more development than DR1 and DR2 characters, take a look at Juzo or Munakata for example and compare them to shit like Souda/Aoi/Weedman.

>good characters.
>didn't deserve it
>contrasting designs and personalities
>maiden 120%
>official
>go together on manlet hunts
>didn't fucking deserve it

>That's not how you close out a heroine's story.
I disagree

I'm not sure how DR3 being a rushed piece of shit makes the previous games pointless.

Because having a main heroine get reduced to a plot device like that, with her actual death not ever brought up by anyone afterwards and spoken about only in vague terms, is considered pretty poor writing by a lot of people. A lot of people had higher hopes for her, or at least that she would have a happy ending. The very fact is, she was not the same person as AI Chiaki. She was a normal girl with a normal wish to have fun with her friends again. That "fight for the future" spiel AI Chiaki did did not match up with it at all. The ending was awfully done and I felt hollow afterwards from how they never gave her proper resolution.

...

>or at least that she would have a happy ending

Opinion discarded.

I think some people need to go back and play DR1 because it's clear they forgot how shitty the characters were in that game
Weedman, Otaku guy, SSJ what-his-name, Mondo, and oh my god Toko

>Improved Fukawa-san shows up and saves her motherfucking life
Can you blame her?

Will Aunt Komaru tell her nieces and nephews to call Touko "Aunt" too, or will she tell them Touko is her "special friend"?

>Despair by mind control

I mean REALLY? FUCKING REALLY!?
Despair was something universal, everyone feels despair and despair can spread like a virus.

But making it "Umm you know he wasn't evil or lose his hope y'know?? he was being mind hacked" killed all the emotional thing, nobody is responsible or anything because the are being mind controlled.

What about the second game's plot were talent wasn't everything in the world?

>Ibuki was a talented musician but nobody wanted to be her partner because of her personality.
>Mikan was constantly bullied, even sexually abused.
>The chef boy was the same as Ibuki, good cook shit personality, everyone thought he was gross.
>And nagito is the worst offender, In the game he loved hope so much that he sided with despair to make hope shine brighter, that was his madness, he was already mad in love with hope, he didnt need mind hacking for that.

Fuck the anime, fanfiction level plot.

Shhh....
No Despair
Only Hope now

It wasn't pottery, it was recycling character development she's already gotten because they clearly had no idea what to do with her. She made up for feeding Makoto to the wolves by putting her neck on the line to rescue him right after that in DR1.

Having her die just to give Makoto a confidence boost over him being too dense to just acknowledge how the entire conflict was Munakata instigating shit was awful.

Okay. When Junko herself mocks the idea of a miracle happening for that specific character, most people take that to be a flag that a miracle will happen. When it didn't happen, it just made the whole ending look very fake.

Did all of my brothers migrate here?

Only Hope is infectious now for some reason, despite being as nebulous and ever-changing a concept as Despair is within DR's story.

...

migrate? this was my home from the start, brother

>"It was a bad plot point because the thing that was said to not happen didn't happen!"
>in a show where half the premise is despair winning out in the beginning!

Do you even know what show you're talking about, my dude?

I've migrated, yes, my friend! I'm for stay here as well!

I can't hope anymore with this series. My hope died with real Chiaki, and it crashed down on multiple levels. A reaction to what was happening in-universe, a reaction to the meta, like outright revulsion at how the forces of the universe conspired to toss a cute girl into a torture dungeon like I was reading a shitty guro manga, and just outright apathy at what the following events consisted of and how she was never brought up properly again.

Literally the best thing to have come from DR3.

>The bad guy saying "miracles won't happen"
It's, generally speaking, a flag in favor of the opposite. I couldn't bring myself to care about anything else afterwards.

I think pretty much everyone did

Not really. As with almost everything interesting in DR3, all emotional development and shit fucking happened offscreen. The ending's flaw was how extremely terribly it handled pretty much everything, moreso than what the actual plot itself was anyway (mindhack anime is the only really, really egregious plot point)

well, then have some despair.

The only returning character who got a great portrayal in this shit is Impostor. Kirigiri was reduced to "karmic reward for Naegi-kun", but she did solve the killing game first, so I suppose it balances out. Asahina just serves as Naegi's transport vehicle, and when that service is no longer needed, she's shot in the leg.

I guess these are like Halloween versions of the cast? I'm trying to wrap my head around Komaeda's costume

Eh. The fun part is, despair is like a cleansing agent. I don't really care that much about Chiaki in and of herself anymore (heck, the AI lowered itself in my rankings exponentially after DR3), I'm more angry at the general 'idea' of it than anything else.

>and how she was never brought up properly again.
Wait what did you want them to do that was anything more than what they already did do? because she was brought up again by Hajime & co

...

they could just make it so there's no free time event before the first murder, which would be hers

>and oh my god Toko
What about her?

Last episode proved
>Talent is in fact everything
>Miracles do happen but only if you have SHSL Good Luck

Good to see you again, Juzoboys. I'm surprised that the Cred Forums threads died so quickly, though I suppose there was nothing left to discuss. I told myself I wouldn't come to Cred Forums but I'm not ready to lose you guys yet, so I think I'll stick around for a few days until the new seasonal anime really get started. These were some of the greatest threads I've ever taken part in, and it's hard to say goodbye.

No? They never said "Chiaki is dead", they danced around that part. I wanted -her- ghost to show up at the end, not AI Chiaki's.

Metroid, you motherfucker.

Chiakifag go

Get in the elevator

I liked all of the characters in DR1 for the reasons that everyone else seems to dislike them.

I actually liked how everyone was pretty much out for themselves and paranoid and nobody really trusted each other. It fit the setting perfectly.

Yeah, that kind of sucked. Both characters shown to be pretty good punchers (Chiaki and Juzo) got pretty bad endings in the end. I wonder if that means anything?

You took the hope bait in a series where most characters get killed off. On a character we all knew was going to die no less. You've got nobody to blame but yourself, user.

Yeah, Other M was great.

>Gundham

Except that's wrong retard.

Why is everyone always hating on Ishimaru I mean I liked the DR2 cast more but I still like the DR1 cast too.

Likewise my friend! I'll be doing exactly the same thing. I'm hoping there'll be another anime around to make great memories with!

T-that doesn't counts.

>it wasn't Chisa and Chiaki getting mindbroken via gangrape

Talk about wasted potential. Maybe there'll be a doujin about it.

Its because the DR fanbase is sort of split between boards with a lot more of them being from Cred Forums since its a video game first

>Miracles do happen
no,no. Miracles don't exist. It was literally all planned by Izuru months before. he probably even knew he wasn't going to "die" by the killing game in DR2.

they woke up because Ultimate Jesus woke them up.

Can't speak for others but not why I disliked them. I don't think DR1 did the paranoid killing game thing all that well beyond the first case to begin with.

>none of the other games exist
got it

Hey, she was never right about predicting miracles before, can you blame people for thinking otherwise? Honestly, like I said, it's not just about killing her off. It's that her death didn't get proper closure, like a conversation with her ghost (instead of AI Chiaki's ghost) would have given.

AI Chiaki being connected to the human one in the way she was is all human Chiaki deserved. The DR2 cast being around is the only proof of AI Chiaki's existence, they did the right thing by having her show up at the end like that.

They talk about human Chiaki earlier on in that confrontation with Mitarai anyway, hence those flashback scenes of her that you get.

We got that Nagito OVA, but unfortunately I doubt they'll do much beyond that.

>they know their talents but the memories of their "crimes" were erased
>at least one or two will be really stupid and minor
>something like Dictator isn't actually in charge of a nation, just really good at RP'ing as one for an online game

Before D3 was even announced I was also expecting a protagonist fake out, but now the idea has sparked a meme war among the robohopefriends and the fatpianistfriends

It's surprisingly comfy here.

>her death didn't get proper closure
The closure was the effect it had on Izuru and the eventual result of that.

>Being dead isn't proper closure anymore.

Nope, it really wasn't. It ended up souring my opinion on AI Chiaki dramatically. Real Chiaki deserved more than that.

Like I said, no, they didn't. All they did was have Hajime make fun of her and some nebulous talk of 'betrayal' when all of them were brainwashed or lobotomized, and no direct confirmation of her death.

No, it wasn't at all. When Junko specifically talks about her, that's who people will focus on.

Not for a main heroine, not for one to go out in a pathetic way like that after a torture session.

I want to date a 120% maiden who'll punch the lights out of anyone who so much as looks at me wrong.

>All this hopefull Chiaki fans
Why? didn't you learn too much hope turns into despair?

pastebin.com/2Gs2she1

I hate DR3. I wish it never happened. It's star wars prequel level of ruining the overarching story.

Yeah it was, Chiaki's death is the literal cause of what happened with Izuru. The result of what she caused is what you got in the ending. It's not that she didn't get closure, it just sounds like you were expecting more and was unsatisfied (which is reasonable enough)

Mikan is mine

Juzoyoungsters always makes me smile whenever I see it.

Listen, every time people go around this circle with you, you end up back on this point without explaining yourself. You keep saying it's not proper closure, but you never explain why.

>Not for a main heroine.

Like, why not? She died. Her friends got past the despair phase. What more do you want? A full 30 minute conversation with her ghost?

I've seen a lot of complaints about this show, but this is definitely looking like one of the dumber ones because you can't explain yourself adequately.

Yeah, fine, fine, I'll admit it. I was unsatisfied. I wanted her to be more than a simple plot device to be tossed aside and forgotten about later.

someone's mad he doesn't have the high ground

Chiaki was literally created to die. She served her purpose.

Alright,

JUZO BOIS

It's not proper closure because I feel that the main heroine of a work should have a better denouement on her death than "she got tortured to death and died in misery to be nearly forgotten about by her friends, the end".

You can have her, shes way too unstable for me.

Chiakifags like that are just mad that the DR2 cast are alive and well partying up while Chiaki remains dead.

Missing the whole point of how AI Chiaki even came to be in the first place.

He was despair right? It must be that way because he fucking killed a bunch of innocent people, but then what about his message to Mitarai? If he was despair and just fucking around, what was the point of that? Even if it was hypno hope, he still would have wiped despair out, which he obviously wouldn't want. It makes no fucking sense.

Not for a story which purported to be the "perfect ending" to HPA and promised a "happy ending". It ruined the whole thing for me.

No, she's mine! Neither you or Hinata, or anyone else can have her. Back off, mate. Nice to see that some Mikanfriends are still here

Hajime's waifu looks so cute. Glad best girl won in the end.

Too bad Chiaki.

Except AI Chiaki isn't even the same character as the real Chiaki so that "point" means nothing.

>juzo will never punch your boss because he refused to give you a raise
Feels bad man

Where was it written that characters cannot meet (mostly) bad ends? You're denouncing a huge chunk of literary practice by saying that. I get that it's not the end of the character you wanted, but that doesn't make it improper closure.

>It's star wars prequel level of ruining the overarching story.
user, don't ever exaggerate. People will start to believe it and discussion will get even worse than it already is.
Frankly, it's just a pointless fanservice thing.

Every new installment of this series has made the story worse. It's no suprise that 3 was shit.

I really don't get why they felt the need to make this into an overarching plot to begin with.

Yes.

So you're just some butthurt Chiakifag who's mad that their waifu didn't come back.

Get over it. She's dead with Chisa, Junko, the rest of the DR1/3 casts. They're partying it up in the afterlife theater.

Hajime is with Mikan now.

>Chiaki wasn't real
>dies in chapter 5 because she "killed" Komaeda
>DR3 gets announced
>turns out she was real
>dies again while all the RoD wake up
Holy shit. I feel bad for the Chiakifags but at the same time I can't help but KEK.

Kodaka you fucking toll

You really don't seem capable of getting what I'm talking about, do you? It's -not- about that alone. It's that she was never truly brought up properly again. Not even a simple, flat "Chiaki's dead". Just dancing around it.

Maybe if they showed that I would feel more at ease.

At least Kodaka's got the right idea now with V3. Keep the premise and Monokuma, change everything else. That's how this stuff can stay fresh.

It was always obvious from the start that Mikan would win the Hajimebowl over Chiaki since the latter is dead. Same reason why Kyoko won over Sayaka for the Naegibowl simply because latter is dead.

She was created in Chiaki's image because Hajime and the 77th class wanted to see Chiaki. Did you miss that part or were you too busy crying to care?

Just as I like to think this I also like to think that he wasn't Despair and was just senile. makes it funnier

He wanted the whole world mindhacced with hope which is just as bad as despair.

Same. Seeing Chiakifags get angry is really cool. Hajimikan is officially canon now.

Cameras designed for war reporters have frames made of reinforced steel. More than one war photographer has used one as an improvised weapon to disable an enemy combatant.

Yes, and? She's not the same person, she's just a chameleon who happens to look like her. She doesn't have the same personality (much more autistic and laid back, for one), she doesn't have the same quirks, it doesn't really match up at all and is a poor attempt at tying the two characters together.

>You really don't seem capable of getting what I'm talking about, do you?

About as incapable of getting it as you are in regards to getting anyone else's point, it seems. They literally watched her death scene. They already knew she was dead, any acknowledgement of that fact probably gets lobbed into the time they spent waking up and getting to the island, much like any apologies or recognition that they just spent a few days killing each other in a digital wonderland.

>Maybe if they showed that I would feel more at ease

We can write a fanfic together if you'd like.

Does Real Chiaki has the boob mole AI Chiaki has?

This is important.

...

I'm willing to put that down more to DR3 not being written by Kodaka (and being poorly written in general) than anything intentional.

>Chiaki disappears
>Mikan holding an empty pill bottle
>Kirigiri's boots appear onscreen
Glorious.

>she's just a chameleon

Oh my lord, it's this user again. You anons would do yourselves some good to not respond to this guy anymore.

It's hilarious how they thought Chiaki was going to survive this and have a happy ending. We warned them not to give into hope. They didn't listen.

Now 90% of them are on suicide watch.

>M-Miaya
>Ch-Chiakizuru
>Hi-Hinami happy ending

No, I'm quite capable of 'getting' things. They never once actually acknowledged it, the 'implications' are not enough here, not for a series like DR which likes to remind people about character's deaths.

No thanks, pal.

Hope Arc was written by Kodaka himself. There is the big problem. He should've either coordinated more with the writers to ensure real Chiaki and AI Chiaki lined up, or he should have not bothered trying to connect them that much.

At least one other person has called it a chameleon.

This is the only reason I'm even considering V3. I can't believe a series this recent needed a reboot this bad.

I want Chiakifags to leave.

I'm not exaggerating. The main villain Junko was ruined and the themes of DR2's ending were ruined and Chiaki shouldn't have been a real person.

>I really don't get why they felt the need to make this into an overarching plot to begin with.

That's why I'm hoping V3 isn't the start of another overarching plot.

Gonna have to agree with you there. If Chiaki weren't real then I would have felt a lot better about the ending.

Same.

>stupid Monkey D Luffy grin

>literally ignored everything I said

OK so you're just retarded. No point of continuing this conversation.

>Dies in the first dungeon by traps
SHSL Gamer my ass.
Go back to playing Galaga

No, I acknowledged everything you said. It meant nothing and I explained exactly why it meant nothing. Kodaka ruined one of my favorite characters and thus I have no faith that V3 will be any good and would rather not waste my time with it. It's as simple as that.

Best ship! Suck it Chiaki! My girl looks so happy and alive!
