I hope you can upgrade your Inventory. MC and Terraria give you an inventory the size of a chest, plus a hotbar to select items. Having just the hotbar is really limiting, I feel like I'd be making a ton of trips to the base.

Also, the no online and (I think) no procedural generation is really baffling.

No man's sky gives you a pretty large inventory when fully upgraded.

They aren't required to complete room requirements as far as the demo is concerned but it doesn't hurt adding a roof layer on top

It was just a quick house to build around the dragon while I was fighting. Sometimes a ghost would interfere with the fight and I couldn't hit the dragon fast enough because I have to dodge the ghost. So I made the house to camp it out and wait for day time but I actually never used it.

Wasn't on my radar at all until I saw the trailer then I realized it actually looks like a good game. I really love side-quests in jrpgs that involve building up a base or town (Like in Skies of Arcadia and Suikoden), and this looks like its expanding that into a full game.

Follow up question: I tried building roof for my buildings with dirt and it wasn't transparent when I walked into buildings. Are there roofs? If dirt doesn't become transparent, how am I supposed to dig into mountains and ground?

there's so much more this game can have on top of what it already does

in the demo there's a couple areas and a boss you can totally miss if you dont explore
you can also find items that increase your max health
the combat isnt exactly amazing

Combat is the weakest aspect, but apparently things get better as you get more stuff, and you can learn moves like a spin slash or something. But in the demo its incredibly simplistic.

Exploration is cool, you'll find chests and you'll want to explore to craft cool shit. The demo area is decently sized enough to hide 5 chests and some cool monsters. Very rewarding to explore, and the map looks nice.

The combat isn't God Hand if that's what you want, I mean its a comfy game, it plays like one.

PS4 version

There's no online, so it's not like other PSV/4 multiplats where you have to buy the vita version for online

Its hard to tell from the demo but maps seem to get pretty large. you can certainly explore in them and get lost (if it werent for the compass)
