Kids these days will never know the feeling of sneaking onto the computer past your bedtime to play DOOM and be scared...

>kids these days will never know the feeling of sneaking onto the computer past your bedtime to play DOOM and be scared shitless of that game

>scared of DOOM

>made my little brother sit in the room with me because I was too scared to play by myself

kids are scared of the stupidest shit

I was scared of the fucking ps2 startup noise as a kid

Late 90's babbys need not apply

>big brother sits you down on the computer and makes you play DOOM

underage, doom was scary as shit when it came out

>WHY WON'T YOU DIEEEEEEEEEEE

Scared the fuck out of me.

>kids these days will never know what it's like to rent a console from the local video store because your family couldn't afford to buy one til Christmas

Also;

>kids these days will never know what it's like to have to erase memory card saves so you can star That New Game You Got

either to old or to young to be here

doom was 25 years ago

nigga how old is you

too old for Cred Forums

>implying it was immediately after release

When I was a kid playing this I didn't even realize it was scary until someone pointed it out to me. To me it was just difficult running in a direction you can't see, though the way he kills you did kind of disturb me looking back on it.

welcome to the future grandpa

Im 32 and no doom was not scary in any way shape or form

Me except sneaking onto the family computer to watch porn and jerk-off.

I'm 30, played that shit when I was 7. Kys pussies.

Yeah yeah grandpa, we get it, vietnam was scarier than anything before.

Imagine being this triggered

31 here, this shit wasn't scary

the opening scene of Jumanji made me cry

IT was more scary than doom.

Doom always made me jump in the in dark place with the invisible enemies, and whenever enemies are right behind a corner

i remember being scared of the black cyborg girl in vigilante 8. reading the manual was the first time i'd heard of a cyborg and it sounded really scary to me

So we all agree doom was never scary and OP is just an underage faggot.

>old people will never know the feeling of sneaking into into the holodeck to play DOOM with lifelike simulations of demons

I think we all agreed that we were scared of stupid shit when we were underage

my little brother is scared of the school librarian

how would i be underage if i was a child when doom was released

brainlet detected

How OP would be underage if he was a child when he played doom
You are clinically retarded or something

should we be worried, Cred Forums?

You dont know true fear until you're playing doom and see an invisble pinky while you're 5 years old

Are you retarded or is this just bait?

see
Because you are a smart ass that needs it to be spelled to you since you want to be that guy who nobody likes that believes he is too smart and can outsmart everybody but he is annoying and an idiot in fact.

>NANOMACHINES SON

See

>scared of DOOM
18+

@407359290
You really are fucking irredeemable aren't you?
Even if this is bait, you are really a faggot.
When he was a kid
WHEN HE WAS A KID
The bait is too strong fuck this thread

Doom was never really scary to me as a kid. Quake was though. That setpiece after the gold key door in E1M3 for some reason was particularly bad. I don't know why, but I never figured to move out of the way and let the rock go into the hole. I'd just stand in front of it and die.

Build engine games too, although that's less strange to me given the engine's various tendencies. Getting killed by doors, getting stuck in dummy sectors meant to be area transitions, getting squished by cave-ins, and some games had actual jumpscares implemented (which my parents never believed me about). A lot of shit that wouldn't be out of place in a cheesy videogame creepypasta that would totally spook the shit out of a six-year-old.

this is kino

Kids this days would never know the struggle of finding and hiding pornographic materials.

The first time I typed "pussies" into altavista was a sensational feeling

>first time using internet
>type porn.com

You need to be 18 to post on this website.

underage plz leave

Kids these days will never know the feeling of sneaking a look at the porn mags on the top of the magazine racks while pretending to read comics.

My first experience with doom was the SNES port, and I swear the lower framerate made it scarier than the PC version

are you a faggot underage?
everyone i know played doom in 1997 when they were 10

>sneaking onto newgrounds to play ADULT flashgames

Kids these days are shitters anyway, they don't deserve good experiences. Prove me wrong.

No. Reviewbrah is pure

doom never scared me but man diablo gave me fucking nightmares

first time I met the butcher I was 7 and his room is no stuff for a kid (in 1997) to take lightly

I don't wanna pull the "kids these days" line, but I feel like a kid today wouldn't be that scared by a scene like that, even by modern graphic standars

also, I was scared shitless by the ghouls in fallout, could barely watch em move around moaning and stuff, jesus

>i play it as a kid so i cant be underage
This is exactly the kind of retarded logic you would expect and underage retard to use

I read Hamlet as a kid does that mean i was born in the 16th century?

I used to be really scared of Rome Total War when I was little, there's this image in my mind of me being afraid of charging Gauls in their tartan trousers charging at Roman ranks, it makes no sense to me today but perhaps I was intimidated by the complexity of RTS at the time. I was a pussy kid though as well since zombies scared me even when I was a bit older and playing COD WaW Nazi Zombies having the urge to leap at the playstation and turn it off.

I was scared of any big aquamarine predators, especially the fish in ratchet and clank, and jak and Daxter

>play subnautica
>still feel ill of diving into deep water, especially at night
