I need an answer once and for all.

Developed by a team at Google. It sure as fuck is.

What to use instead?

>inb4 Firefox
No, it's a slow memory leaking clusterfuck.

Edge?

NSAEdge? Not even once.

on linux?

>No, it's a slow memory leaking clusterfuck.
Works on my machine, using ESR 45 on GNU/Linux.

meh, everything is a botnet these days.

>I'd rather go full botnet, than partial or minimal botnet

Oh, ok.

Why is Chromium font rendering so blurry? Firefox looks sharp as fuck in comparison

>No, it's a slow memory leaking clusterfuck.

nasty shit, right there.

midori? idk.

Would be interesting to see an order of botnetness from highest to lowest. What's the worst 5?

It's not slow unless you have an ancient PC. Stop spreading memes.

Who cares, as long as there are forks.

If you are on windows use vivaldi browser

Chromium is a genius browser developed by enlightened people.
But if you need to go full user use Tor Browser,
Don't fell for Mozilla shills, Firefox gives you nor privacy, nor perfomance and safety.

yes

hhahahha what

Of not number 1 Edge is very high up there.

There's parents getting automated emails about what websites their kids are browsing.

Waterfox

No because it's open source and according to Cred Forums only proprietary software is a botnet.

Honestly Firefox for Android is noticeably slower than Chromium for Android.

>citation needed

>a browser made by the same company that makes the OS is faster than a 3rd party alternative that doesn't cache the entirety of the internet in RAM and waste bandwidth loading webpages before you actually request them
you dont say

Ice cat

No problem

Which one of these is best if all I want is a box to put discord in, and sometimes shopping sites?

I'm not sure exactly. Which operating system are you using? None of those forks have auto translation though, if that helps.

antergos. Iridium is on the AUR so whatever Ill use that. It really doesn't matter, Id just like it to be more private than vanilla chromium and not break the one webapp I have to begrudgingly use, or shopping sites my firefox addons break.

it's not a botnet it's a shitnet

I'm using Antergos too, but I never managed to get Iridium installed for some reason. Compiling always fails. I'm not sure if it'd fixed now, but I'd suggest Inox. I've been using it since I've installed Antergos.

QUTEBROWSER

I like firefox for android more because it doesn't mute youtube videos when i lock the screen

>he doesn't have xposed installed to use Youtube Background Playback

I'm sorry, I'm not good with cellphones. Got mine a couple of months ago.

It probably depends on which phone you use.

Honestly, yes. A while back they put in code that downloaded a binary blob that listened in on any microphones available. Search for "chromium microphone black box" or something like that for more info. Point is, they don't really care about open source software and what it means for privacy and choice.

I did on my old phone, new phone is unrootable currently.

oh shit

it needs to be rooted?

For Xposed? Yeah being rooted is just slightly important.

but the problem is I can't install ublock on chrome mobile..

check the source code, chromium use google APIs

Safari da best 

the whole internet is a botnet, you are just another blue-pilled zombie in a pod
