Just set up mopidy with Spotify so I can use the pi for music streaming with my stereo, gonna see about adding a nice looking album art display to go on a TV or something

Microcenter has zeros for 99ยข so I had to grab one. Not sure what to do with it yet.

What are you plans for using them, user? I was thinking about using my second one for Pi Hole.

Does BananaPi count? I got mine recently and am using it for a seedbox plus sftp and maybe httpd in the future. NetBSD was very easy to setup, following the official guide.

shills and lies

Getting mine tomorrow. What should I expect? I want to use it as a Samba-based AD home server.

Just wanted to correct the record.

Can it be used as everyday machine?
Specifically running browser at decent performance?

I'm waiting for the Pi 4 to come out, really want that 2GB of RAM

Of course. It can also playback 1080p flawlessly.

Release date? Any info?

With mpv?

I plan to. But I don't have a Pi just yet.

Any player really. Most people use it as a home theater with KODI.

I'm thinking of getting a RPi and use it as network share, is this a good idea?

I heard a rumour from some Pajeet on a Youtube channel, he said that it might be coming out on in Feb 2017 because the last one was released then and RAM has been doubling with every model.

a $400 android phone struggles with loading pages with a desktop useragent

the browser performance on my Pi 3 is horrible

With the Pi, you don't have to use Android/Java.

sure, if you like below 4MB/sec shares and instability

even worse, you have to use a fucking broadcom chip

>below 4MB/sec
It's to share some doc(x) files.
>Instability
Explain

>Wanting more ram

I just want dedicated Internets and USB speeds

>not waiting for the 4gb version

Probably doesn't know what he's on about. It's stable for me and I top out at about 11 MB/s transfer with rsync.

odd pricing

Its to prevent scalpers and resellers

Does the 3 finally support 10bit video?

I'm thinking about learning soon because I recently learned they have Piratebox build for Pis and I've always wanted to make those.

It has everything you need except power onboard so the box could be super tiny. If you found a way to wire it to a power supply charged by solar you could have a damn near perpetual file server wherever you want.

One of mine is a NAS with a youtube crawler on it.

The other one is a headless MusicBox.

Did you overclock yours, user?

I wish I could get a rpi zero that cheap in australia, shit

>tfw bought a banana pi

Probably going to use it for retroarchand/or experiment with GPIO, any other suggestions?

install arch and OC cpu (and keep it cool )
