Linux ricing or window management for windows 98/x style or 90s general GUI?

I wanna rice up Linux to look and feel like windows 98 or XP, or even a gui that looks like it comes straight from the 90s? This is mainly for nostalgia. Including strapping a netscape-looking GUI onto firefox or some shit.

Where would I even begin?

Openbox + Redmond 2009 Openbox theme + Redmond GTK

Pic is not even close :P

fvwm95 and EDE try to replicate Win95 desktop

This, my man.

Trinity desktop.

Real solution
>install 95 in a VM
>realize it was shit and you've been lying to yourself
>no need to make this in Linux
Buuuuut you won't

Q4OS (Debian-based and TDE) with the XPQ4 theme.

Dude he just wants it to share the same aesthetic, not share the same performance.

Where did it say anywhere that he wants to actually use Windows 98 instead of just keeping the square, classic looks of it but on Linux instead? Fucking retard

use seamonkey senpai, it has it

This for out of the box look.

If I want to rice my GNU/Linux to look like windows as a disguise for normalfags, should I go with windows 95/98, xp, or 7?

This, plus seamonkey continues the 90s vibe of "all in one" software.

Browsing, editing, email, even IRC (IIRC) all in one program.

It's good shit

windows 7 if you want an actual disguise. 95/98 would be funny though.

Does seamonkey work with all firefox addons?

FVWM95 is deprecated. You can get the same results in FVWM2

It works with most of the essentials and has alternative addons for ones that don't work. I figured OP was just going to install Foxscape and call it a day.

you should go with 10 for disguising

You can convert addons that don't play nice OOTB. Something like 60-70% of the time they work after just altering the browser ID shit.

But what about Greasemonkey?

Greesemonkey has it's own Seamonkey fork.
Since moving to seamonkey I really only miss tree style tabs.
