I just switched to i3 and I'm fucking loving it. But, since i'm still a newfag on linux, how about some file system like nautilus to go with it? Any recommendations?

GNOME

thunar

Brfag

>how about some file system like nautilus to go with it?
nigger if you have x configured you should probably already have your partitions setup

seconded

spacefm is what you are looking for.
and/or ranger.

thanks user

>that pic
>that post
wut?

>thunar
>pcmanfm
>nautilus
These are all shit.
Spacefm is a fork of pcmanfm and is about a million times better.

when I open nautilus a "desktop" window open alongside, is that normal?

yeah, thet picture was the first thing in my pictures folder.

the question was a better file system navigator to use with i3.

>file system navigator
it's called a file manager

No

Try out Caja, like it because its simplistic yet full featured.

Thunar is good if you need something graphical, but I really like ranger. It's text based but if you're not retarded it should be fine

Yes

Bestes

cd

Just use the terminal nigga, I don't even have a file manager installed

>edgy

i still need to look at some "preview" icons for pictures and videos, sometimes

This but drop the c

Use ranger, it's a terminal-based file manager with Vim-like keybindings. I sometimes use Thunar.

> file system
> like nautilus
It is called file manager, silly

Double that, ranger is great.

I like ranger. It's a CMD minimalist file explorer.
If you are familiar with vim keybindings it will seem comfy as fuck. Plus you can use a mouse if you're drunk
