Linux Kernal 4.8 was finally pushed through to Ubuntu 16.10.
bretty good, considering it's an upgrade from 4.4

Nice shitpost

thanks

Ur all shitposting in a shitpost thread

I would, but it's more work maintaining the distro than actually using the distro. Same with arch linux, more work is dedicated to fixing it and modifying it than actually using it.

desktop thread?

Wow mate looks like shit

What? It's way too bright to be solarized.

How do you get the windows to appear on top panel?

Also what dock?

I left MATE do to being forced to have two panels but I am new to it

Nice

But with Ubuntu the "using" is an extended form of dissatisfaction.

You aren't forced to use two panels. Install gnome-tweak-tool, and you can choose between several default layouts, like OpenSUSE, Redmond, Fedora, etc. And you can always delete a panel.

>Kernal
lol

nice desktop mate,
is it worth upgrading from pic related ?

How do I get it then?

Does it fix baytrail support?

Is this the desktop thread?

It's a desktop thread, indeed, but exclusively for ubuntu users.

>bretty good
Name one noticeable change from 4.4 to 4.8

But I use Arch, look at me!

aquiles brinco :D

Jordan, please leave this thread.

>using 12-hour clock

fixed
Oddly enough the 24 hour clock option was already checked but I had to uncheck, apply, then recheck.
n__n

was mostly shitposting. That I inspired you to actually change it is super neato though cutie

I usually use 24 hour clock is the only reason you ``convinced'' me.

I just hadn't noticed it wasn't that way!

>Model: Alienware
>OS: Arch

>using 24 hour clock

>he bought an Alienware

l o l

>not hyphenating your compound modifiers

Arch is a really nice OS, way nicer than an OS such as Ubuntu

It was the best bang for my buck. I originally looked at Macbooks but they offered less power even at maximum configurations than this modest Alienware yet cost more.

Oh, nothing wrong with arch, it's just the combination that's bizarre. You buy alienware for gaymes, but you're running fucking arch.

What's this laptop even for?

>What's this laptop even for?
shitposting from my bed, m8

Why buy anything but a used thinkpad for that?

Thinkpads are all shit tier, I have one and it fucking sucks

>I have ONE so they're ALL shit
This is just the other side of
>works on my machine :^)

The only good thing about my StinkPad is the aesthetics and it is quite sturdy feeling and does still work at least

>it sucks! I like the aesthetics, its build quality and that it works
what exactly is the complaint here?

performance, it sucks
