(for 3 years, without any problems)

I'm using Windows 10 and actually really like it, except for the one time it forced me to restart without my consent (which I've since managed to disable).

While I believe privacy is important, at the same time I'm willing to trade my privacy for convenience in some cases. I use Google chrome while logged into my Google account, and regularly take advantage of their cloud services

There's actually more to this that made me go back to Windows 10 on my chinkpad

The ricing I could have figured it out if I put more effort, installing it wasn't as hard as it seems since creating partitions for root and home wasn't a big deal and installing the OS wasn't either
I ran into an issue using syslinux but using grub instead fixed the problem
My bigger issue was either a driver issue or just an android issue
Transferring files using ADB was slower in arch than in Windows for some really mysterious reason
A part of what I do on a daily basis is using the ADB to push those files

With that being said I was thinking of trying again tonight...

for someone that never used command line going from full guis to a command list to partition a drive is a lot. Also when it's making it harder than it actually is and you lose time or have to troubleshoot shit you've never had to troubleshoot before.
It's way better to start with a distro that does more handholding and let someone ease into the system and then jump and do more shit on a terminal than going from Windows to terminals on one day.

I got pissed off by windows one day and decided to switch to linux. I dove straight into arch without. I followed guides, half of which were before system d was the default, had no clue what the fuck I was doing AND MY FUCKING BIOS WAS INCOMPATIBLE WITH LINUX.
And yet somehow I managed to get it installed and working with next to no real linux experience.
Befor, I had live booted linux from usb but it was ubuntu so it provided no real experience, it in no way helped with any linux problem Ive had.

protip: If you have an american megatrends bios from about 2007/2008 and you cant get linux working, Disable acpi in the bios.

I have noscript installed but regularly enable all scripts for a site multiple times just to make a site work because I dont really care. Sometimes Ill have to press the enable all scripts for this site button 5 or 6 times allowing literally dozens of different sources to run just so I can see some pleb tier video. Ill even do it for porn sites Ive never even heard of.

I do a lot of web development and I use IE as my main browser at work.

A LOT of the older sites we use internally need IE to work (don't fucking ask me why), and I hate having to keep two browsers open just to use those sites.

Actually the IE debugger is not that bad. The only real problem I have with it, is when you try to view the response body of an HTTP request captured with the network activity tool, it's not formatted at all. It's just a big block of text. The work-around is to put a breakpoint where the response comes in and look at it that way.
