Never had a issue with Gentoo, just install it and you will never have an issue like this.
Its got that 7 code so its sata drivers I think

kys you seem to be to stupid to search an error code.
From a 15 second search it seems it's a problem with the hdd you are using, the sata cable or worst case scenario the controller on the motherboard but that seems to be a rare instance of the error because you could get a different error code.
