MSI Afterburner + RTSS (RivaTuner Statistics Server, comes bundled with Afterburner). While we're at it you can also add sensor readouts for temperatures etc. and it comes with video recording better than fraps (you can record uncompressed like Fraps or use encoders like NVENC/VCE).
Or you can just get cracked Fraps.

Only the special version with fully unlocked clock and voltage manipulation isn't free (in fact you have to be some sort of an insider to even get it and you absolutely don't need it unless you're the kind of guy going for benchmark record breaking and cooling stuff with liquid nitrogen). The free version provides everything OP needs and more. While we're at it Fraps's free trial also provides everything OP needs.
