Sounds like some of the drivers you can get for 3DFX Voodoo2 cards. When paired with certain CPUs from AMD, you get "fake" HW T&L.

Picture is of sound card using an aureal vortex chip that supports a3d.
I have this, 40mg daily tho, it makes me feel like haxz0r because it makes me type 105-140 wpm, read faster, work faster, you also play videogames better
So does Cocaine
I used to snort 80-100mg daily a few years ago when I got into Gentoo Linux.
It does help you focus but I would not recommend it. I felt like a robot after a few months and stopped.
40mg orally sounds like a more reasonable dose.

Yes, because it runs in kernel space.

probably a thing
>hardware accelerated low latency gaming netcode processing unit
there are some expensive low latency "gaming" network cards, altough i'm not sure if there's an actual benefit from them
>hardware accelerated regex
this is actually a thing

Nowadays you can hardware accelerate anything, if you bother.
You could implant the whole OS in hardware.
CPUs and GPUs are pretty standard, also the SoC on higher end NICs do offload all the package transcoding, we have storage controllers, audio processors and DSPs used to be a bigger thing than they are nowadays, even offloading MP3 decoding.
Today's GPU drivers already offload heavier media decoding onto themselves, h264, flash, also JPEG, PNG and GIF decoding on hardware used to be a thing too.
Even things like JavaScript on OpenCL/CUDA on the GPU.
>Nowadays you can hardware accelerate anything, if you bother.
sure you can implement shit in software instead of hardware, but usually there's just no reason to given the much bigger development+production costs
>Even things like JavaScript on OpenCL/CUDA on the GPU.
that's not Hardware Acceleration though, that's GPGPU
Hardware Acceleration, in my opinion, is implementing a certain part of an algorithm in hardware. (as opposed to some kind of ISA)
Cock accelerated faggot OP.
That's not a LADA, that's a Zhaporozhetz

Sorry I haven't learned EE and I'm far from thinking that I'm "hot shit".
I just work with FPGAs and we have implemented some hardware decoders in FPGAs for older computers.
