The incentive is the same as bittorrent (which ZN uses), content availability. There's no inherent incentive to seed content on ZN either other than wanting to keep it alive.

For IPFS there are already pinning services both paid and co-op, however the team itself is working on a token system called Filecoin that will be valued with time, i.e I'm willing to host your content in a verifiable way for X days if you give me Y coins. This creates an economy not based around monetary value necessarily but hosting time. For people like me this is great since I can just seed for other people during the night while I sleep, earning tokens, and then spend them during the day when I want to use my own bandwidth.

Likewise you can target geographical regions this way too, maybe someone will pay me more to host content in the US since that's where their users are, like traditional CDNs but extremely competitive.

IPFS can be routed through TOR as well, there is already a fork that has native integration, it is pending an audit before being merged upstream.

In mainline there is support for private F2F type networks.

In addition to that the goal for IPFS is to be modular, eventually you'll be able to swap their routing system with i2p or whatever else you trust.

I still feel like this currently does and will continue to supersede ZN.

As with most if not all p2p systems, it's going to remain available as long as 100% of the blocks are on the network from any number of nodes.

Every update is timestamped and digitally signed.
Clients only keep track of the latest valid digitally signed content.
If someone wishes to remove or modify something that they have published in the network it's possible for them to just update their content file, changing the state of the content that they wish to modify, and publish the updated version and virtually all clients will overwrite any previous versions that they have stored.

Of course, someone could copy and store all the states of a given client but that's true for literally anything posted in the internet.
