Calm down, there's no need for your autistic rage and you can easily remove it in debian.

one good thin in this tiling wm meme is that i dont need to waste time to find a good wallpaper.

Your racism actually defines you as being less smart than you actually are. Which is ironic, really.

Because it makes you the nigger.

...

user, do you know what nitrogen/feh is?

what is the bar you are using?

everyone keeps mentioning them because of the price, how's the build quality? any chinese backdoors?

Wallpaper please

what a fucking eyesore

...

...

your wallpaper is the same exactly color as my Cred Forums theme

The screen looks great and the shell is solidly made, but the Surface Book screen has horrible QA, during boot the screen flickers like a mad man. You can't enable sound power saving or you will hear a constant popping noise and the touch pad drivers aren't the best on Linux. Performance is good and everything else works fine.
The specs are nice for the price, but if you're not tight with money I would spend a little bit more and get at least Xiaomi level of quality. Also you don't really need 3000x2000 on a 13" laptop, 1080p or 1440p is fine.

Next time I'm probably going for a ThinkPad with TB3.

Polybar.

thanks!

thanks

Hmmmmm projecting?

The terminal usually isn't transparent but since my laptop screen is small I wanted you guys to see the wallpaper.

they all look like windows 10 clones with disgusting material design icons slapped on
it really does suck, user

>they all look like windows 10 clones
I can't speak for others, but least with mine that was the point. Use as little screen real-estate as possible for the system, so the rest is dedicated to my dev environments.
>disgusting material design icons slapped on
You and I, we're about to fight.

you must be blind if you think that dwm looks like a windows 10 clone.

nobody cares about a stock desktop user, that is why you did not get any more (You)s

you should get rid of the desktop widget clock, stop using google/microsoft software, change the gnome menu bar icon to something nicer, and hide the menu bar in your terminal. it seems you aren't actually using the material icon theme either.

why are these threads getting autosaged? I thought they where allowed again

more allowed than they used to be. they used to just delete the thread.

...

>get rid of the desktop widget clock
I just liked the aesthetic it provided, it serves zero purpose.
>stop using google/microsoft software
No choice, I am employed at a Microsoft-partnered code chop shop. Would if I could.
>change the gnome menu bar icon to something nicer
Did that.
>hide the menu bar in your terminal
Done.
>you aren't actually using the material icon theme
I'm not, just using Elementary now (switched after screenshot, was using Adwaita).

Bar could be improved.

See picture for desktop switch and clock examples.

i like this one.
