I do not get the hate Dansk gets, for me it is the most distinctive and interesting of North Germanic languages. It is like the Polish of North Germanic languages (Slovak and Czech are mutually intelligible, but Polish is intelligible only to a limited degree due to their strange phonology, just like Norwegian+Swedish vs Danish).
