Western Europe is fucked. US becomes minority white. Whites migrate en masse to eastern europe and siberia, which becomes the last bastion of a dying race.
China becomes a super power and merges in a union with up Korea and Japan. India is BTFO.
Eventually the surviving white states of Eurasia become Chinese vassals in order to survive. China will use whites as barbarian mercenaries against shitskins.
Jordan Rodriguez

Alright, true enough. But if China becomes the sole super power and the global leader in science and technology, Japan would probably suck up to them nonetheless. So some sort of EU-like arrangement between China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan wouldn't be totally impossible.

Becoming a super power is one thing and becoming the leader in science and technology is another, far less plausible consequence. Consider that modern China doesn't have the academic infrastructure in place to accomplish any sort of meaningful innovation. China is the number 2 economy in the world with a population in the billions and how many nobel laurets do they have? Compare them with Germany- a nation of 60~ million, much less the United States or greater European area.
Superpower =/= innovator

Nobel prizes are usually awarded 30-40 years after the work is done. Give them time.
>China doesn't have the academic infrastructure in place You have no idea how much they have been investing in science and technology. I work in academia, and chinese author names are probably more prominent than any other ethnicity in scientific literature right now. It's true that a lot of Chinese researchers work in the west, but a lot of them also go back to China, taking their know-how with them.
Josiah Nguyen

2050 prediction:
>Federalized Europe beginning at Spain and stopping at poland. Italy is not included nor is the UK or Switzerland. >biggest trade deal in history with the US, Canada and the newly federalized Europe promising unmolested free trade. >Chinese Communist Party faced with legitimacy crisis due to recession ramp up anti-western dialogue. Chinese army crushes mostly peaceful Uighur uprising in Xianjiang. Then invades Taiwan. Nobody does shit. >China invades North Korea establishing a more permanent buffer from Japan and SK. NK is still technically sovereign. China is commended by the international community for the 'sacrifice' they made by neutralizing the NK threat. Their invasion of Taiwan is forgiven or at least blurred in the eyes of the West. >SK is ok with the NK puppet state as they can't handle the mass refugees and don't want to deal with the logistics of having to modernize NK.

Ehh... sorry to burst your bubble but China is actually one of the most innovative countries in the world.
I mean they can even compete with USA or Germany or something and it is easily the most innovative of developing countries (25th most innovative overall in world) and punches far above its weight in GDP per capita. They're actually transitioning from the low end shit to innovating their own high quality at this point.

I see an infographic for the amount of trademarks and shitty patents China has been filing for. Both of these are merely consequences of being a rising economy, not because China has suddenly grown an academia-friendly environment. The same can be said with the article you linked. Even in the article China is behind estonia in innovation despite being the #2 economy in the world.
The fact of the matter is that if China truly wants to join the elite in science and technology then some massive top-down change is going to have to occur at the government level. Frankly, I don't see that happening without a massive slowdown in economic growth first.
Dylan Robinson

If China grows 1% faster than America for 30 years with a constant exchange rate, it will have a larger nominal economy.
China is currently growing 6.7% versus 1.2%.
If China grows 6% and America 2% (our average since 2009), it'll be bigger in 2024. If China grows 5%, 2029 If China grows 4%, 2034 If China grows 3%, 2042. If China grows 2.5%, it'll be 2054.
No matter how you slice it, unless China literally implodes, it's gonna have a bigger economy.
>but Japan Japan has 124 million people. China has 1.4 billion.
Nathan Sanchez
china economy would implode soon, the next big economic crisis would be triggered by china.
David Hill
if those predictions would be real we would be a superpower now
Luis Perry
If China's economy has a crisis worse than America's (say -10% of GDP), but recovers like we did (which is expected from a developing country), it'll be following the 4% path. So 2034.
Uhhh?
Sorry but 76 million people will never be a superpower.

>anything can happen anytime Kill yourself.
>and china never proved that they can be a stable country What is 1949-present? Somehow China, even with Mao, has stuck together far better than before.
Why? Because the Modern era is not the Middle ages. Keeping a unified state is FAR easier than it was in 1500, 1800 or even 1950.
Finally, China has nuclear weapons. No nuclear armed state has lost territory to a hostile power.

no, also there are many more reasons.

tell me one single reason for an investor to invest in china instead of singapore, taiwan or hong kong. no you can't. also your chink culture doesn't fit with being a superpower. germans can germans could, greeks can greeks could, muricans can muricans could, ottomans can ottomans could, but chinks, no.
>get bullied >build a wall >stay inside for thousands of years, like a neet >stare skies at mountains for years, write poems. >kill each other regularly. >m-maybe we are going to be superpowers, sure everyone would be okay with that.
no, especially not with your "lets copy everything, including russian warplanes" industry. can count shittons of more reasons, but im tired.

This. China is already no. 1 in GDP PPP and is closing in fast in nominal. Not hard to believe considering their population.
Easton Roberts
I'm gonna go ahead and say that the Indian economy is going to explode about the time that China starts to plateau. China is starting to have growing pains, due to their rapid economic development. With the establishment of a middle class beginning to take shape, we'll see a shift in the Chinese economy to push more for domestic demand. Old ass sweatshop business tactics are going to go out of style pretty quick, and the PRC is likely to gain solidarity with regions such as Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. I think it will be some time before we begin to see China take shape into a country with comparable standards of living to the Western world, but it will happen in time.
When this happens, the same foreign investing which got China where it is, will be moving to ASEAN and India, which will in turn start to become economic powers in their own right.
