Ironically, philosophers rarely take into account the desires of real human beings when coming up with their grand theories about society. What sounds awesome and perfect in a book will never be as good once it faces the harsh light of reality. Diehard supporters of Marx, Ayn Rand, etc. are delusional. Solutions to real-world problems must be based on real-world facts, not imaginary ideals (not matter how convincing or appealing they are).

Its always the case, sometimes I bury myself so far in engineering and designing things, then need to take time out to check if its actually relevant to the application.
