simple

i dont but our country is pushing this meme heavily lul

I want this meme to die.

Central Europe aka Großdeutschland, yes.

this

yes, but the countries we associate with central europe are the small landlocked ones, basically, Switzerland + Austria+ Hungary + ex Czechslovakia

Germany and Poland are ambiguos, because sometimes Germany is seen as western europe, and Poland as eastern europe.

I think west europe is only west of the Rhine, South of the Danube. The Roman limit.

Who the hell would class Ukraine, Greece or France as "central"

In academia Poland is mostly seen as a part of Central Europe though

No.
Wends and Hungarians are Western Europeans.

>civilizations derived from: Mesopotamia-Egypt, India and China

Finally, this is such a basic distinction, yet while people are sort of aware of it, it isn't stressed enough.
This is a very nice map, I really like it.

+1 leddit upboat

yep

its our core national ideology

lolno

Also: Poland should be given back to Russia. Same language, same cities, same commie heads. Just give it back.

nice try, Serbia

Yes, but it's only Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Pretty much Germansphere
Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria

There are barely any similiraties between Russia and Poland except for the languages(which are distinct anyway).

yes there is central yuro as there is central america why not

Polish and Russian are litearlly the same though
>you both use Cyrillic
>you both were USSR
>both are communistic

Nice try pooland aka Russialand

"Central Europe" literally means the cultural heritage of the HRE, which had the main core in todays Germany, Austria(-Hungary), Czech(oslovakia) and Poland.

Furthermore it also spread along the baltics due to the hanseatic league, the netherlands since it always had some ties to the northern states of Germany, Italy (especially the north) since it was part of the HRE for a long time, settlements of Germans in the east (danube swabians) and the Balkans for having a connection to Austia(-Hungary). And Switzerland is basically Alpinebelgium anyways.

Maybe it goes even further back to "never conquered, suck it Romans :^)))" culture which could have been fairly close east of the rhine, but I am just going to make the bold statement that everything good is German

I'm triggered.

>remove blue strip in the middle
>call it a country

kek, got your back "Added blue triangle"

Poland looks like white easten Germany so yes.

Hahha exactly..
fucking degenerates think they are different.

Answer the fucking question

Russia/Ukraine/Polen/Crimean Republic
Yeah, of course.

Not really, no.

I think cunts like Germany and Switzerland have more in common with the west than with cunts like Poland or Hungary, same the other way around, cunts like Poland having more in common with the east.
?
Explain to me how I am wrong.

"Mitteleuropeo"(=in the middle of Europe) in italian refers to Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

are you srs

Switzerland and Germany have almost nothing in common.
Austria and Switzerland have a lot in common.
Austria and Germany have very little in common except transtitional zone called Bavaria, which still has more in common with Austria than with rest of BRD.

>Hungary
>East
yeah... thats not really gonna fly, if you wanna go for Slav=east argument, thats not gonna fly in Hungary either.
Its a special snowflake country and culturally hard to assign to any sphere, so I would rather leave them alone or attach them to Austria.

Poland
Poland honestly has very little to do with Russia, mainly current Poland, which is about 400 km west from the postition it started with.

Go to good old core Polish cities like Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan. Then go to Ukraine and Lviv (Polish by nature) and continue Eastwards
you will notice how the architecture changes if you arent blind, not only architecture but the people as well.
Shut the fuck up Slovakia lmao, you eastern mutt.

This is how I consider Europe to be divided

2/10 cuz i responded

Good map. Estonia should have some little green stripes though.

>which is about 400 km west from the postition it started with
Nope. It is exactly in the same place.

Good post

The Czech Republic is one of my favorite Eastern European countries.

No mistakes were made in this post.

>the eastern-euros that sperg over muh central europe also tend to live in the butthurt belt
really makes you think

we are actually central europe

>Switzerland and Germany have almost nothing in common.
What? We speak the same language, share sometimes the consulates and even have some part of the same legislation and language?

>tfw you realize that Belarus is actually in the center of europe

>Belgium

I smiled

I don't care whether Poland considers itself close to Russia or not. Just calling it 'Eastern Europe' might be to vague or it might not, I know too little about the region to be fair.

But grouping them or Czechia with us is bullshit. All ties that might have previously existed were definitely cut with the expulsions post WW2. This is not supposed to be butthurt or spark a discussion about whether expulsions were rightful or not. But for several countries to belong to one greater region they have to be somewhat homogenous with smooth transitions – not clear divides with only little connection to the neighbors at the border as we have it today.

This kind of central Europe might have made a bit more sense historically, but today I wouldn't group any Slavic country with ourselves. If you don't want to be considered Eastern Europe, come up with something if you want. But 'central Europe' together with German-speaking countries is just not correct.

Yes, the Mitteleuropa my friend, it's a narrow area than that though

I've always seen "Central Europe" as the countries in the former Austria-Hungarian empire plus Poland

Austria is culturally closer to Czechia and Hungary than it is to Hamburg or Berlin du Schwuchtel.

>+poland
slavshit bydlo=eastern europe

USA

no central Europe doesn't exist. eastern europe is former warsaw pact + yugoslavia, albania, and greece. everything else is western europe
