Haha, I live right there in the old town of Heidelberg. The castel is just 10min away, I go there quite often in the evening when the tourists are gone.

It is nice living next to such a castle.
I do the same thing with Nürnbergs Kaiserburg. Going up there at night is really great. You have a great view over the city and often you are completely alone... don't forget a few beers, tho.
