"Tuna" is the name for that cactus in English as well, although "tuna" does indeed far more often refer to the fish.

be careful if you ever feel like picking them up, they've got some hair like spines which are a fucking bitch, they can even get blown onto you by the wind, and you have to know how to take them off the fruit before you handle/peel it, also the plants tend to be an habitat for everything from rattlers to bark scorpions and widows, so some basic common sense cation is advised.
