did you know that majority of non general thread are bot threads? I am quite amazed that this is real thread and it is going quite good.
But, Poland, nobody's vocarooing...
most of threads need at least 6 hours to gather 150-200 post. Why do you think Cred Forums uses bot thread (because it is Cred Forums that creates them)? in general Cred Forums is dead . Next time you should post it in some wide general

I've heard this was used as a password during WW2 because it contains a number of sounds common in Finnish but tough for native Russian-speakers. It's also a word that someone might actually use, unlike the super-long things that are more likely to get posted in these threads.
All attempts welcome, +1 point for Russians.

Learn Russian before moving in here, stupid churka.
Thanks. :)
Yeah. I was surprised by how well the vowels were pronounced. The final ä wasn't perfect but could still have passed in casual conversation.
>implying you's all dat

the second one seems to be surprisingly hard to pronounce for some foreigners from my experience, the first one is our national meme-word
Esperanto:
resurluniĝontis
reh-soor-loon-ij-own-teece
was about to land on the moon again
gepiedalhejmiĝintoj
geh-pee-ed-ahl-hame-ee-jeen-toy
the men and women who went home on foot

Thanks as well!
You're probably familiar with Spanish r-sounds; the longer, rolling ones not found in Portuguese. The Finnish r is more like that, but other than that, yours was really good.
excellent
>tfw no one wants to try our meme word
y-you can leave out the ř you know
you could learn Italian very fast
It's actually mostly hippies that speak it, in my experience. Though I'm not sure if that's any better.
it's latin
pulchrae = beautiful
Non-Faroese have trouble pronouncing some of our sounds. Not necessarily long, just maybe odd:
nógv (NEH-gvu)
evni (EUHW-nie)
stýggj (stoich)
móður (MOEH-wur)
Kirkjuböur (CHEER-chuh-boeur)
Just to list a few.
Portuguese meme word:
>inconstitucionalissimamente
It means "very unconstitutionally", or something like that
vocaroo.com
Second try
And, actually, our Rs are rolled, but not as much as they are in Spanish.
I don't even know what those accented vowels are supposed to sound like, my man
Mi pennè
turbiinikoneinsinnäärialiupseerioppilas
Something relatively easy:
źdźbło
it means "leaf of grass"
ł is pronounced as w as in will
ź is pronounced as harder ś, and ś is pronounced as sh in shoo (couldn't find any other explanation in english)
forgot:
dź is pronounced as herder ć, ć is pronounced as ci in cin cin
...
vocaroo.com
Finland, am I doing it right?
fair enough
would like to return the favor, but I don't have a mic
ehm, not bad, but what happened afterwards?
are you okay? it sounded like you had a stroke
Checked the pronunciation on GT and decided to give it a try
vocaroo.com
Very good!
Back in the day I had trouble simply with 7 o'clock. Shichiji desu ne~

Sujiomi? :D Without the extra "ji" in there that'd be fine.
Thank you
bezwzględny - ruthless
Polish w = English v
ę = eww
Pneumoultramicroscopicossilicovulcanoconiose = a pulmonary disease
I don't want this thread to die tb.h
I'd actually like to hear a Brazilian attempt a Portuguese accent, not that the words are particularly hard:
As armas e os barões assinalados.
For foreigners:
Bacalhau (codfish) < the lh is read like the Spanish ll, which I'm curious as to how many people can say it.
Ribeirão (big small river) < Hard R, soft R, "ão" is always tricky.
Neither particularly hard, but should be fun.
