Nobody does this unless you're Japanese.

We are always laughing at savages

At least they have better teeth than you.

Most of you are pretty good desu

and wat no body care

Most posters here have decent English. It's only a few Russians, a few French and all Japanese posters that have issues.

On the French it's cute, and half the Japanese are proxies anyways.

b2 here

at least they aren't romanians laughing about your romanian skills :(

I got told I sound like google translate the other day

Who cares?
Have you heard a brit speak English?
Fuck that, USA English is the only relevant and the only intelligible English.

tfw 114/120 TOEFL

Bet 80% of the amerifats posting on Cred Forums would get less.

At the price of what? Being less intelligent? kek, suck my uncircumcised nob you fat yank cunt

me good? happi

don't be so sure

What? I'm actually impressed everyone here writes English as well as they do. Take a fucking trip to Toronto if you want to see shit English first hand.

I'm so offended. You hurt my feelings.

Post yfw you correct a native speaker's mistake

>someone wrote 'few' when he actually meant 'a few'

>When someone cannot tell the difference between its/it's

Broken English a cute, CUTE. Unless you're a chink or paki.

>granddad makes fun of walmart cashier's english
he's a good guy in most respects but he is also a proper douchebag sometimes

Except for Japanese and Korean people, most of Cred Forums is indistinguishable from native speakers of English. Sometimes you get Russians who suck with articles and Latinos who suck with prepositions, though.

Nah, we're not mean about language like most small irrelevant language speakers are. Most mistakes and mispronunciations sound cute to us, or are unnoticible.

About 4% of the UK speak RP.
>Anglos pretending everybody speaks good English in Britbongistan.

>rally english

Why do Indians have a hard time getting rid of their poo tier accent?

because middle easterners and south asians cant into assimilation

This. I definitely feel that my English is far superior to the average amerifat. Most Americans are truly retarded though, they don't even know how to properly use the most basic idioms. Also watching them try to speak foreign languages is horrendous. How can one country be so dumb?

best english

Your stupid, bro, their are worst English speakers in England and Canada, were the best country in the world!!

Did I sound American enough??

spanish accent is shit

You will never be better at English than a native English speaker.

youtube.com/watch?v=Af5uVexJ7U0

They dont have any right to laught.. have you heard those stupid shit speaking a second language?? They always sound retarded as fuck, besides if you cant speak more than a language you cant say anything about those who do.

ESTE FUE UN MENSAJE PARA DONAL TRANKS

The british intelligent?? Tell how are you intelligent when you dont have any technological product on the market??

Actually you brits dont have any relevance in the world but your music, not even your language cause every other anglo country speaks it better than you.

i know english better than anglos do

Better than a native English? Maybe not. Better than American? Easily.

Give me something to vocaroo if you want

I don't make fun of non-native speakers because I know the struggle of learning a language and not being able to fully articulate and express your thoughts and feelings.

Too bad lots of you choose to stay at a level of English where you know enough to shitpost on the internet, and then just supplement the rest by using what you already know from your first language, thus sound like a cartoon character. Not going to point any fingers *cough*russia

hehe americans r dum amirite guys?? XD

Americans are native English speakers. They speak using "mistakes" in what you realize as standard English. But if all Americans understand even when these "mistakes" are made, and they use these "mistakes" on a daily basis then they're not really language mistakes now are they?

Why "An hero" but not "A Hero" ? It's bcuz meme or ''An hero''' really correct ? "H" is pronounced letter in that word.

>Mexico
What did he mean by this?

We just learn other languages to humor you savages. We all know more times than not, you backward fucks will speak our superior language.

Pure madness

>The term originates from the memorial MySpace page of Mitchell Henderson, who committed suicide on April 20 2006. The term comes from a spelling error from one of the comments posted on the memorial page.

>[...]“He was such an hero, to take it all away. We miss him so, That you should know, And we honor him this day. He was an hero, to take that shot, to leave us all behind.[...]

If meme aside ?

Is you serious, jigga?
What's gucci?
I didn't do nothing.
You was out of control (Trump at the debate)

I wonder what those english proficiency maps would look like if the actual anglosphere was included.

pic unrelated

It's called African American Vernacular, and it's a perfectly valid dialect of English.

Meme aside, it is a grammatical error because you only use "an" if the word begins with a vowel. "Chan culture" doesn't care about grammar, if it becomes a trendy meme it will be adopted regardless of its mistakes and more than likely the mistake makes it funnier and more popular.

Basically an innocuous statement became the meme due to it's grammatical error. But not only this, it became a meme because it was attached to something serious like a suicide -- but also the reason for the suicide was humorous. I believe the reason for killing himself was over a stolen iPod.

I don't particularity think it's all that funny, but i guess oldfags of Cred Forums did since this meme is ancient.

Thank you and also death to America, my friend.

Hey faggot want to come have a a real life conversation so I can pick apart your spic-tier accent?

t. American living in Madrid

...

Ok, i'll give you something

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

...

Perhaps, mostly due to the fact that we're native speakers and thus more relaxed about the language.

How to adopt her English accent?

I know what it is. The first two examples were Ebonics par excellence because of the lexical forms used by African Americans. However, the other two could be heard from almost any everyday American speaker without being considered sub/non-standard.
My major is English and American studies. If I have the opportunity, I'll probably pursue my masters degree in linguistics at an ivy-league university or University of Chicago if Oxbridge doesn't work out.

"an" before "h" is weird because some native speakers still use it without it being considered an error.

"hurr d00d i grew up in spain but I can do the americun accent even better than people who grew up der :D" fuckin spics lol

*looks if there are any brits around*

American English is superior. It's the more utilitarian and practical dialect. It's not steeped with arbitrary conventions due to tradition and history and has a the most phonetic pronunciation.

There I said it.

false

>"an" before "h" is weird because some native speakers still use it without it being considered an error.
There are also dialects in which the "h" is silent (mostly British accents, although Americans do have the silent h in "herb"), which confuses matters as well. That being said, "An hero" specifically is an error, which is why it became a meme as the other user said.

"There's" for plural (i.e., "there are") is I guess technically wrong, but it's easier/cleaner to say than "there're" and is perfectly acceptable in colloquial speech.

>If I have the opportunity, I'll probably pursue my masters degree in linguistics at an ivy-league university or University of Chicago if Oxbridge doesn't work out.
UChicago student here; good choice, very comfy campus and prestigious language programs.

this, whenever I talk to foreign kids they always get so angry that their school teaches them that faggy queens speak.. they almost always would rather learn the American way of english

>due to tradition and history
Oddly enough, American English preserves many features of old (such as pronouncing the "r"s, the ash sound, etc.) lost in most British dialects.

I, kind of, agree to some very little extent. You really try to make the pronunciation closer to how words are written but I'm too accustomed to British English. I think it is richer in its means of expressing oneself. You guys don't even use shall/ shan't.

Nobody teaches American English to foreign students. We've always been taught using textbooks from Oxford, Cambridge or Pearson/Longman.
>UChicago student here; good choice, very comfy campus and prestigious language programs.

So I've heard. What's your major?
In what cases is /æ/ lost?

In asia where I taught no one teaches british English, not even china where they have a history with the brits.

Arguebly your statement is false unless you mean simply where you are from. Internally American English is the standard. Latin America is another Example.

British English is more of a specialist dialect in most places, otherwise most people learn american English, especially for business.

>Internally
internationally

"Shall" is used here, but "shan't" isn't, 2bh. I'm mildly surprised that absolutely nobody learns American English given that it's the most common variety, but then again you are in Europe.

My majpor is undecided, but leaning towards Biology or Geology.

And Wikipedia says
>The vowel /æ/ is coming to be pronounced more open (approaching [a]) by many modern RP speakers. In American speech, however, there is a tendency for it to become more closed, tenser and even diphthongized (to something like [eə]), particularly in certain environments, such as before a nasal consonant. Some American accents, for example those of New York City, Philadelphia and Baltimore, make a marginal phonemic distinction between /æ/ and /eə/, although the two occur largely in mutually exclusive environments. See æ-tensing.

they interact with Britain more
plus British English is still proper even if more people speak general american

>In asia where I taught
I couldn't refrein from posting this (the picture is a classroom filled with ugly Asian schoolgirls).
>...unless you mean simply where you are from.
Yes, that's what I meant.
Could you give me some titles of the textbooks you used for teaching American English. Did you give introductory classes or something more advanced? I've been offered to teach at an EFOL school here but I don't think I'd be able to teach people the basics of language. I'd only be able to teach "exit-level" stuff because the students would already have a broad vocabulary and knowledge of grammar, so we would just be building uopn their already good English.
Biology is gr8. My high school class was one where we were taught advanced biology and chremistry. They were basically preparing us for med school and we were studying parts of what 1st year university students had. Biology was one of my favourite subjects. But II gave up on med school in 10th grade.

I am very interested in the way most American universities work. From what I've heard students can chose from a vast majority of classes that may be completely unrelated to their major. This has some pros but, imo, some major cons as well.

*refrain

Depending on what you mean by "proper", everyone in the US uses American English even in the most formal contexts, so it is just as legitimate, but in any case I agree that British English does have a bit more prestige.

Yeah, most universities have core requirements and electives for Undergraduate students, which is great if you don't know yet what you want to do but rather annoying if you do.

This. There was a french foreign exchange student in my classes last year. Her broken english was adorable! Especially coupled with her accent.

CHI

>her
Every girl with a foreign accent will sound le adorable, cute and quirky

Every native English-speaker I've talked to praised my language skills, lol

>niggerspeak
>valid

Fuck off

Noooo...

Retard.

Bix nood.

Nigger

>At the price of what? Being less intelligent?
He says...

Poor English skill is cute when it's not coming from a shitskin or Chinese.

CA

GO

Chicano only applies to American Mexicans. It makes no sense to say it to someone loving in Mexico.

how is that even difficult

>uncircumcised
NHS doesn't cover that? Or the wait was too long?

I wonder if women think foreign men's accents are cute too.

Only if you're already handsome. ;_;

They do, but not all the same accents that men find attractive

We're the only country in the first world to do it routinely.
>being this new

It helps if you're already confident.

>anglos
>laughing at foreigners' accents
life has already been cruel enough to you, we don't need to pile on

No wonder. When healthcare is free, a lot of stuff is suddenly "unnecessary". The opposite is also true.

youtu.be/Vt4Dfa4fOEY

love it

>tfw constantly jelly of ESL on Cred Forums because they've managed to learn a second language so well they can use english image boards

Even when their english sounds dumb, it's still way more impressive and functional than I can hope for when learning another language. English speakers might pick something up to study, but it won't be so naturally integrated into our education and media consumption.

>bulgaria
>tries to parody vernacular English
>thinks that he is cool
Learn proper English, nigger and stop being cool

All my gf's friends and family said my accent was cute when I tried to speak their language, so yes.

OLD RICH ENGLISHMAN WITH A MONOCLE SPOTTED

Je baise ton mère hon hon hon

not really, anglos usually compliment me on my english

>My major is English and American studies
but why?
besides being a teacher what can you do with that?

As someone who has suffered the horror of being in Liverpool for more than 2 minutes, I promise you your English is better that quite a few English people.

South Korea does it as well, thanks to you fat fucks.

Currently working in a Bulgarian office where my job is to quality control surveys filled by British people. I can tell you that the ratio between stupid gits and literate brits is around 50:50, so it's not quite right to generalize

I oppose it myself, but there are people like Sounds like a comfy job.

:^( Yeah, the most viable choices are becomming a translator/interpreter or a teacher. I'd like to teach at my university one day.
