I honestly don't believe it's wealth and safety. The middle east is home to some of the wealthiest places in the world yet they aren't cucked. If Spain, Italy and Portugal discovered oil tomorrow and became the wealthiest countries in Europe they still wouldn't be inviting arabs and pakis to colonize their land. The key diffrence between the intelligence promoted in China, Japan, Korea etc is that its all about ultra conformity. Yes. It's called Sweden in the 1960s - 1990s. We were the fucking shit and we're still cruising on a lot of that success. One of our social democratic leaders talked about how Sweden should become more multicultural during the 70s and 80s; not the "let's invite all arabs" kind of multicultural I might add. After his death the social democrat who replaced him signed "Luciabeslutet" (literal translation; the Lucia decision) in 1989 which stated that only refugees as defined by the UN (a very narrow definition compared to today) and those with very specific and strong reasons for seeking refuge would be granted asylum in the country. This was done after they came to the conclusion that for the welfare state to function smoothly they'd have to assure that the percentage of unemployed citizens would remain low. I should also add that this was done after the massive (back then) stream of refugees from the balkans; refugees that integrated very well if they didn't return to their home country when the war was over (which many did).

What happened in 1991 was that the Moderate Party, ie our largest "conservative" party though they're more classic liberals with strong neo-liberal leanings nowadays (disregard the modern american usage of the word liberal for a moment). The moderate party overturned "Luciabeslutet" which was pretty much the start of the new, more open immigration policy in Sweden. When the moderate party again gained power in 2006 they struck a deal with the Green Party* which pretty much stated that the green party would support the budget of the moderates IF the country's immigration policy was made far looser. -> cont

The green party went on about humanitarianism and how it's our duty as rich europeans to help the downtrodden in the third world. The moderate party however talked about how it was necessary for the welfare state because it was lacking in workers (like retirement homes, nurses in general, etc). IN truth I believe the green party was motivated by blind idealism and stupidity whilst the moderates stuck to their neo-liberal guns and figured that giving Sweden a new underclass of low skill, lower paid workers was a fantastic idea - not only to give private companies more cheap workers but also to weaken the unions which had been a massive thorn in the side of the corporations for most of the 20th century.

TL;DR: Sweden wasn't fucked over by socialists or regular (social) liberals. It was fucked over by a neo-liberal party that was greedy for influence that only now has realised that MAYBE what they did was a dumb fucking idea.

Democracy further proves this point no where else in the world had democracy. In the "orient" People were leaders because they were superior and ordained by god. They could treat the people badly and take advantage of them because they are superior and god made them so (think of the emperors in east asia or sultans in the middle east). In Europe the leaders were elected by the people. Regardless of wealth or status everyone was given only one vote. The leader was not seen as ordained by god and superior to the people but as coming from the people and to work for them. This didn't exist anywhere else and still many of these Asian, Middle eastern and African countries struggle to get this system working.
