This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan. Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!
Can many Japanese swim ? Last summer I saw two Japanese couples at the beach and they could not swim, they just sat in the shallow water and where afraid of the waist deep water.
Hunter Hill
A friend of my godmother said offices in Japan are full of nasty gossip and quiet behind the scenes backstabbing. He said because of it, he prefered working in China and SE Asia.
Caleb Morris
>rila 誰なんだこの女は…海外でやってる芸能人?
Elijah Hall
this is very true, work in japan is almost like kind of hell
Brandon Evans
Perhaps they aren't the same people. Nasty people spend all their time on forum and nice people spend all their time with other people.

I can't deny... Japan flags on Cred Forums seem sick and I am fed up with easily getting raged racists.
Jayden Johnson
We all have to take swimming classes in p.e. but it doesn't make everyone capable of swimming though. And swimming in a swimming pool is different from swimming in sea water.
Austin Myers
I'm pretty sure there are complicated office protocols in China and SE Asia too.
Jaxson Gray

Makes sense because the girls where really scared while one of the guys "tried" to swim. He was really slow though and nearly drowned.
there were free Google cardboard being given out with free nme magazines in uni today and I got a pair, they work like virtual reality for YouTube videos
Hudson Turner
I'm surprised that you spot Japanese on a German beach though. It seems to me that attraction of Germany is more in its cities and landscapes. Maybe the couple you saw was living in Germany.
Brayden King
Maybe everyone else was digging holes.
Adam Adams
With normal videos or ones especially made to be viewed with that thing?
Carter Stewart
It was actually on a beach in Spain. I have noticed an increasing number of Asian tourists in Europe as well
theres a setting on the youtube app that changes video so it works with the cardboard
Nicholas Robinson
I desperately need a japanese friend, please help me!

how do Japanese families cope with the death of a loved one?
do they have big funerals where family members make speeches? or is it more low key?

There are lots of things to do when a family member die, even if you decided to have only a low key funeral. Real sadness comes after everything is settled.
Ayden Smith
>do they have big funerals where family members make speeches? or is it more low key? I believe this is what they do. The dead person's friends, associates, and the parents' friends and associates show up to say their prayers. It's not unusual for them to keep an urn with their ashes next to a picture of their loved one and make offerings sometimes. There are traditional graveyards too, of course.
Joshua Jackson
hola~! How do you feel? getting better?
Kevin Gutierrez
They have a lot of people (neighbours, relatives, friends, colleagues, etc.) around to their homes, and they also have services at the temple, but the family doesn't give speeches typically.
Benjamin Garcia

You have never met groups of japanese tourists? They have been coming here for decade. Even in my town which is basically in the middle of nowhere I have already heard some chinese and tourist speaking.
but after the 2011 tsunami, I saw pictures of japanese women crying.
Maybe Japanese women are the only ones to break social code?

oh well, "breaking down" is a little unlikely though. maybe if it's sudden death, but as we see our family suffering with pain and gradually getting weak, we get sort of prepared for the end.
Yes, they are funny. I like Housei a little bit more, though.
Lately I've watched a lot of japanese variety shows. They are funny and very different from american and mexican comedy.
Samuel Myers
Presumably people make arrangements as they get older, but because her husband was still relatively young they weren't expecting it and hadn't prepared.
Actually in my house we have had my uncle's ashes for a while because there's nowhere to deposit them. In Western countries, if someone is cremated, often their ashes are scattered in to the wind. Does anyone do this sort of thing in Japan?
Anthony Powell
さあ…
Noah Davis
I've seen many people who broke down and cried but some people think expressing intense emotion in public is shameful
Usually they go in group everywhere and takes photos of everything buy souvenirs before going back to a tour bus and doing the same again and again

yeah. it's getting popular. people scatter ashes to the ocean, to the trees, and to the space. Maybe it's because these cost less than finding a grave yard, buy a grave stone, and pay monks for chants.
Cooper Williams
>wearing a liverpool t shirt at a rock concert twat
Not just females, all people will do this. It's a popular custom.
The dad will offer you beer and if you take it that's code for him to slob your nob. If you stay a temple the monks will come in at night and rustle your jimmies.
i will travel to a 2nd or 3rd tier city in japan where there are no foreigners and white god factor is still strong, and fuck lots of innocent jap girls

My name looks like "hot", will I do well with bar ladies?
Also what is bar hopping like in a mid to large city?
Curry is something you can do in a single pot, I don't really get what kind of trouble you're having with that
Lucas Reyes
I mean, I also boil rice, all at once.
Wyatt Hernandez
What the fuck You don't mix the rice in the same pot
You're supposed to have white rice in half the plate and curry in the other half
If you cook them together, not only is it going to be a soggy mess, it's going to be disgusting because the starch from the rice is going to pollute the curry

Unless you get super powers allowing you to separate the rice while it's cooking, it's impossible.
