Is Obama really hated overseas?

Is Obama really hated overseas?

I've noticed that most non-staunch-republicans I know over here are content with him at the very least, yet most of my foreign acquaintances utterly despise him. Why is this?

He's one of the worst presidents, but compared to Hillary or Trump he's pretty benign.

He's not that hated Tbh. Maybe a lot in the middle east

He isn't love around the world because he is a globalist who gives away the US's power and prestige, which every country that isn't the US has an interest in.

is loved

Not really, most older people in my country think the Iran deal(trying to put the West on good terms with Israel, Iran and the Saudis) was a landmark deal in restoring the peace to the Middle East.

Just compare him to past presidents

>be American
>get shot

Obama is a pathetic piece of shit, but Hillary is Lucifer himself.

we Cred Forums now

Obama >>>>>>> GW Bush

He's alright in the grand scheme of things, 2bh.

Why do you think that?

>>>/tumblr/

He's not asking us Americans.

>worst president
Worse than Andrew Johnson, Buchanan, or Pierce?
lmao senpai

>Didn't get us into the whole Iraq mess
>Didn't get us into the 2008 Financial crisis
>Got bin Laden
>Didn't inflate the debt as much as Bush
>Won't be utterly hated at the end of his term

This
Obama has done fuck all

You may be surprised but most of the world doesn't really care about your presidents unless they are being directly under attack

Johnson was okay as a President, however much an asshole he was.

That is true, Texas.

>Didn't get us into the whole Iraq mess
>Didn't get us into the 2008 Financial crisis
>Didn't inflate the debt as much as Bush

Nope, he just multiplied all those things tenfold. :^)

I like him and I think he means well but he's been hamstrung by the republicans controlling house and senate, and refusing to cooperate.

This is a satire board, get out of here with your facts and reason.

>Didn't get us into the 2008 Financial crisis
>Nope, he just multiplied all those things tenfold. :^)

nigga what

Sup, Khalid.

>trump is bad

Don't wew me or my lad ever again

This was the final straw as far as I was concerned.

You're 170 years old?

anything that rustles catholics is good in my book

i might as well be

This guy is a laughingstock everywhere from London to Moscow to Tehran to Beijing to Sydney.

Can we all agree that TR and FDR are the only presidents worth remembering?

yo what the fuck
Washington? Lincoln?
peace be upon them

u right, but George and Link are cool and not forgettable so we don't have to try to remember them.

Ranking presidents on domestic+foreign policy (Wilson to present):

Wilson--domestic, 3/10. Created the Federal income tax. Also the Federal Reserve although it's debatable whether that was good or bad since the US economy had been plagued with almost a century of panics and depressions since Andrew Jackson destroyed central banking. Wilson was also an avowed racist who rolled back integration of the Federal government. Contrary to rumor, he did not praise The Birth of a Nation and in fact banned its showing during WWI.

Wilson--foreign policy, 9/10. Ended the meatgrinder of WWI and also tried and failed to negotiate a less harsh peace on Germany. US entry into the League of Nations might have also made that organization actually mean something.

Harding--domestic, 3/10. Not completely terrible since he ended Wilson's police state and restored the Federal government to peacetime operation. On everything else, he was Ulysses Grant Mark II.

Harding--foreign policy, Nothing Important Tier. It was mostly Congress that shot down US entry into the League of Nations.

Coolidge--domestic, 8/10. Did absolutely nothing and that's just how the American people liked it. Also his uptight New England Puritanism was a relief after the corruption, drinking, and womanizing of the Harding White House.

Coolidge--foreign policy, Nothing Important Tier. The US hosted a disarmament conference in 1927, whether that was good or bad is up to you. Otherwise nothing much except raid a couple of Central American shitholes that owed us money.

Hoover--domestic, 1/10. Every single last thing that could go wrong for him did, but raising taxes and tariffs in the middle of a depression was the icing on the cake.

Hoover--foreign policy, Nothing Important Tier. Again, not much except raid Central American shitholes that owed us money.

FDR--domestic, 5/10. Oh boy, this is a mixed bag. Some excellent and sorely needed legislation like the Glass-Steagle Act and also creating a basic pension system for Americans. Also never lost his sense of optimism that things were going to get better, and the nation badly needed that. On the other hand, the Depression would have ended in 1935 without his finegaling. The Supreme Court packing was cheap and lowball, although he's not the only president to have done that.

FDR--foreign policy, 9/10. 'Nuff said. The one notable mistake he made here was a naivety about Stalin's plans for Eastern Europe. He also presciently realized that the age of European colonialism was over and Churchill needed to stop living in the world of 40 years earlier.

Truman--domestic policy, 5/10. Wanted to prolong the New Deal until the Republican Congress halted him in his tracks. He then blamed them for the nation's woes, but since it helped him get reelected, it worked. Started the racial integration of the US military.

Truman--foreign policy, 6/10. The atomic bomb was a necessary move regardless of what dumb libtards think. The Berlin Airlift was also a master stroke and he began the policy of containing communism. He stopped MacArthur from causing World War III, but ultimately left office unpopular and with record low approval ratings as the US was stuck in a quagmire in Korea.

Eisenhower--domestic policy, 6/10. He was the first president since Grant to do anything as far as enforcing civil rights. He also did not try to expand New Deal policies, although also not roll them back. Further, he did not dispense with the New Deal orthodoxy of high taxes, leading to a sluggish economy and three recessions. The US might have gotten a satellite into space first had he not made a few key blunders.

Eisenhower--foreign policy, 8/10. Ended the Korean War and ignored nutcases like John Foster Dulles who wanted to start World War III with the Soviets over Hungary. Intervened in Lebanon successfully to preserve peace there and halted the silly attempt by Britain, France, and Israel to seize the Suez Canal.

He's all-talk and nothing more

Kennedy--domestic policy, 6/10. He made the very important step of promoting supply side economics instead of high taxes. He brought some energy and youthful vigor to the White House after decades of old men. However, he largely did nothing to help civil rights as the South was burning, and he also made a grievous error by legalizing public sector unions.

Kennedy--foreign policy, 8/10. Stood up and blockaded Cuba while ignoring idiot Army brass who wanted to start World War III. Challenged the Soviets on a race to the Moon they couldn't win.

Johnson--domestic policy, 4/10. Created nigger gibesmedat. 'Nuff said. Some of the stuff like Medicare, maybe good, maybe not. The Civil Rights Act, commendable in of itself, less so when you realize he did it for the cynical reason of buying the black vote for Democrats in perpetuity. On the good side, passed Kennedy's tax cut plan and vigorously pushed along the race to the Moon.

Johnson--foreign policy, 2/10. Nothing more needs to be said here.

Nixon--domestic policy, 5/10. He largely continued with the Great Society and expanded on it. He passed a load of regulations that throttled the US economy for a decade. He also ended Bretton-Woods. Perhaps wisely decided to call it quits on the Apollo program before somebody ended up never coming back from the Moon. Cracked down on antiwar leftist groups who were running amuck and trying to set off bombs, assassinate police and government officials, and instigate race riots. He also ended mandatory military service.

Nixon--foreign policy, 8/10. Restored ties with China and realized the usefulness of them in opposing the USSR. Gradually wound down US involvement in Vietnam. Helped remove gommie from premises in Chile.

woke

Ford--domestic policy, 3/10. Hey guise, y'know how we can defeat inflation? By wearing a cool shirt pin. Also yeah, me and the Mrs. know how to dance the Bump. We're so cool and down with the kids, right? XD

Ford--foreign policy, just an extension of Nixon's policies. Nothing to say here.

Carter--domestic policy, 4/10. He began deregulation which Reagan somewhat incorrectly gets credit for (Hoover also started the New Deal if you were unaware). Wasted his two years of a Democrat Congress by refusing to work with them and on the Egypt-Israel peace accord. Ended up with a major recession which he had no answers for except telling people to wear a sweater and use public transportation.

Carter--foreign policy, 2/10. The entire Iran debacle, the Soviets openly flaunting him with aggression in various Third World countries, and bootlicking assorted not-so-friendly dictators like Kim Il Sung and Qadaffi while attacking US allies.

Reagan--domestic policy, 7/10. Cut taxes, restored the economy to booming, and made it cool to be patriotic again after the long winter of the 70s. Rebuilt the US military and transformed it into a modern, high tech volunteer force. A lot of the things he's criticized for like the 1986 amnesty were mostly the doing of Congress. Perhaps he might have been more forceful in dealing with them.

Reagan--foreign policy, 10/10. 'Nuff said.

GHW Bush--domestic policy, 5/10. The tax cut promise he reneged on was kind of bad. He and Barbara Bush maybe acted a little too much like stern parents complaining about stuff the kids were into like the Simpsons and an Ice-T song, which doesn't seem very presidential to me. Then he didn't know what a grocery scanner was...

GHW Bush--foreign policy, 6/10. Freed Kuwait. Great job, nobody can take that away from him. Way way way too soft on Beijing for Tiananmen Square. Also failed to realize the imminent collapse of communism and even urged the Baltic states to not expel Soviet troops.

Clinton--domestic policy, 4/10. Most of the positives here were legislation the Republican Congress forced on him. When he got his own way, the results were pretty bad, but not much tops the appointment to the USSC of the far left activist Ruth Bader Ginsberg. He also started using the US military for SJW "experiments". Ended up losing for his party a 40 year unbroken control of Congress and caused a government shutdown. Killed 1 million+ US jobs with various free trade agreements.

Clinton--foreign policy, 2/10. Horrible, horrible, and horrible all around. Didn't take Osama bin Laden when Sudan offered him to us, ridiculous bombings of the Balkans, gave China weapon secrets for campaign money, the aspirin factory in Sudan, Somalia, etc, etc. Also tried his darndest to help the PLO take over the entirety of Israel.

GW Bush--domestic policy, 6/10. Cut taxes (good), did not cut domestic spending/entitlements and instead expanded them (bad). Rallied the country after 9/11 and set up a lot of important apparatus to fight terrorism. The bank/auto bailouts were a poor way to go out. One of his best traits was being almost impervious to the insane level of Democrat leftist attacks and name calling he received.

GW Bush--foreign policy, 7/10. Did rather commendably in a difficult situation. As to whether Iraq was good or bad, well, you can decide that for yourselves. Certainly Saddam Hussein was a tyrant and a destabilizing influence on the Middle East and many lives were improved by removing him. Bush however did not act quickly enough to suppress Al Qaeda troublemakers in Iraq, which was not seriously done until 2006. In the end, significant progress to fighting radical Islam was made by the end of his administration.

Obama--domestic policy. 1/10. Nothing more needs to be said here.

Obama--foreign policy. -2/10. Nothing more needs to be said here.

Honestly we need to see long term effects before we can rate presidents. At least a decade after they left office.

pls expand upon obama. not even memeing.

>Is Obama really hated overseas?
>Thread is full of Americans

*applauds aggressively*

Thread should have ended here.
Foreigners don't care.

>implying we care what johnny mc foreigner cares about

>Is Obama really hated overseas?
The media here can't stop brown-tonguing him and trying to make him look like a good guy for constantly fucking with Russia.

OP cares.

Ah yes, the topsy turvy world of the American Right, where up is down, competent is incompetent, weak is strong and prejudices are facts

>Bush foreign policy over the Obama foreign policy

nicely memed

Iraq was a huge mistake. Saddam was a tyrant, yes, but he kept the people in check. If the US hadn't invaded Iraq we'd likely not have ISIS to deal with and probably a significantly less powerful Al Qaeda.

Republican shill. Not even memeing.

Not to mention fewer Middle Eastern rapefugees flooding Europe. But oil is a thing and people want it cheap.

> Certainly Saddam Hussein was a tyrant and a destabilizing influence on the Middle East and many lives were improved by removing him. Can't tell if trolling or legitimately retarded.

Gay

>If the US hadn't invaded Iraq we'd likely not have ISIS to deal with and probably a significantly less powerful Al Qaeda.

Implying invading Iraq and anything that came after was a bad thing.

The (((media))) and politicians in Sweden literally pray to Obama.

>literally pray

nope.

nobody here gets how shit the neocons were. in late 2007 while stuck in two fucked up wars they were literally discussing invading iran and threatened putin with restarting another cold war.

bush and the neocon faction literally killed the old republican party, it would be dead if the teaparty faction did not take it over.

>Bush is officially better than FDR
>The man who oversaw the worst financial disaster in american history vs. the man who was responsible for pulling america out of the great depression

you heard it here first folks.

It was.
They thought it be like binding postwar germany to them but that doesnt work if you have no clue about people who never really wanted democracy or westernisation before due to an oldworldculture so alien to what america stands for.

Prepping up Saddam against Iran just adds insult to injury concerning the liberation.
Their foreign policy started great and benevolent but turned more and more monstrous as the cold war for power dragged on.

I should read more about it tho and see whether some geopolitical blunders were still better then what the soviets had in mind for the regions in question.

ever have that feeling that the US doesn't have a president right now?
his days as president is winding down and his office is on autopilot.
*he suggested that we lower our flag at half-mast for a former israelel leader.

The mass invasion of shit-skin rape-fugees is not something I would consider a good thing and we all know who to blame.

I couldn't care less about how many sand-niggers have get rekt by the US-led troops in the ME, but it would be at least fair that they would clean up the fucking mess. What they did, was that they left it as is and now the Putin's henchmen are bombing random targets in Syria, just to get more an more people to flee and run to Europe and break havoc. There's also a shitload of rape-fugees in Russia, just waiting for being pushed to EU when the time is right.

That is how every lame duck period is.

Where to begin...

Obama--domestic policy. 1/10. Wasting $700 billion on a stimulus package that nobody knows where the money went. Sticking his nose in things a president shouldn't stick his nose in. Utterly trashing race relations in this country and dragging them to their lowest point since the 1960s. Being an utterly snitty child who will not work with Congress. Completely and totally abusing power starting with when he signed executive orders in his first week in office (no president had done that before him). Encouraging the SJW and gay mobs at every turn. Defiling the White House with gay pride colors. Creating a completely absurd and totally unworkable health care "plan". Appointed useless affirmative action Supreme Court justices. Has run an administration that exceeds Warren Harding's for corruption.

Obama--foreign policy. -2/10. Completely ruining all progress made by the previous administration to fight Islamofascism. Refuses to even admit Islam has anything to do with terrorism. Has spit in the face of US allies in favor of a laughable "outreach" to the Islamic world (who then also spit in his face). Trying to assist Islamofascists in taking over Egypt and Syria. Has literally said global warming is a bigger threat to national security than Al Qaeda. Has ended up with ISIS marching across multiple countries like a swarm of locusts. Made a joke of a peace deal with Iran (who continue to build WMDs). Putin has utterly made a mockery of him in Syria and Ukraine. Pathetic "apology" tours to multiple countries for the atomic bombings of Japan and any other alleged US "sins".

>FDR
>ended the Depression

The Depression in most countries ended by 1935. He managed to somehow drag it out here for several more years with his fuckery.

Top comments are about hate of US government. You can not find top rated comment on this site, that are not hating US government.

No, he's not, he's at least mostly been respected over here and most left leaning, liberal people around the world re sure to see him in a better light once we are no longer dealing with the contradictions, in many ways the right wing radicals oposing him did succeed in pushing him towards objectively less than liberal policies.

Also Trump is fucking making him look real good right now. You've obviously won't notice any of this in edgy alt right boards like this one.

>Kremlin propaganda site
You may as well post a link to the North Korea Central News Agency.

>Shills

...

Knife cuts both ways tBh. Conservatives here got hilariously butthurt here when many of their own predicted a victory if not a landslide for Harper.

>RT
hmm

Poor Bush. The guy was exactly the amiable centrist middle-of-the-road president everyone always wants, and then when they do have him, they complain anyway.

Kremlin have take control about almost all news sites and people can not leave comments, that criticize russian government, they are deleted. So only comments there are about hate to USA and saying thanks to russian government.

>but that doesnt work if you have no clue about people who never really wanted democracy or westernisation before due to an oldworldculture so alien to what america stands for

The Middle East in fact was comparatively secular until the Iranian Revolution. All problems with Islamofascism can pretty much be traced back to there.

How did that old joke from the 1980s go?

American: "Unlike you, I have the freedom to criticize my government."
Russian: "Big deal, I also have the freedom to criticize your government."

Subverting democracy when you installed the shah clearly didn't create any problems, clearly.

oh wow that is so horrible please tell us more about how awful that must have been to you. How truly traumatic

>butthurt Canuck Iranian Diaspora Troll

This is that gay frog. There's him, the gay Aussie, and the Brazilian bear lover.

Now the funny thing is guys like him who are such chest-beating patriots that they choose instead to make their home in a Western country and live on welfare.

He should at least ask himself what kind of a "message" sends to the rest of the worl...oh wait, they were laughing their heads off at this country and its "leader".

I think there's a couple more gay posters on Cred Forums but IDK.

>RT

really makes me think

Literally nobody heard or cared of him. The only message it sends is "we care about gay rights", which is something everyone already knows anyway since you guys passed that gay marriage bill.

It absolutely isn't a big deal and the only people who might care about it are Mudslimes. You are just being a little bitch who thinks that a government showing support to some minority group equates the end of the world because muh traditional values or something.

>[...] cared of him
about it*

Not Iranian by the way. Nice assumptions so you wouldn't have to address how once again you built your own monsters.

>2016
>still falling for the "gay is a race" meme
Come on, you're better than that.

The US government (not the people) now hated by Turks bc of 15th of July the coup attempt. He is not giving Fethullah Gülen back. %90 of society thinks C.I.A. was behind the Gülen movement, so the coup attempt. After the Syrian war he was just a poor guy who can not even deal with US's own problems. He is just playing "the cool guy" on cameras but he sucks desu.

Oh please. All anyone has to to is make a thread about Iran or even mention Iran in a thread and it's like the Bat Sign that causes this guy to show up. I swear he's on Cred Forums like 18 hours a day.

There we go. The entire fucking planet is laughing at this pathetic president.

How can I convince you I'm not who you think I am?

lel no, we're not all republicans ideologues

I meant sexual minority, m8.

"Minority" doesn't have anything to do with race inherently, it's just a statistical term.

>ITT: butthurt republican looking for an echo chamber

ITT: Loser faggot and butthurt Iranian diaspora defending Reddit--The President

>sexual minority
>using this term outside of Tumblr

Sorry m8 it's the truth. We were the best pals when it's about the Middle East but you ruined it by supporting PKK/YPG and the Gülen Movement. You can't even compete Russia in Syria eventhough you're stronger. You have humiliated by China. You paid ransom to Iran. You get cought while listening European leaders. Your aggressive attiutudes toward Saudis makes you look pathetic. You're making agreements with Coup d'etat Dictator in Egypt and many things. Obama is just playing "I know about everything, and eveything is undercontrol".

He's pretty much liked by the general population in Europe, especially in the beginning, and curbed the "I hate America" bandwagon that lived with a lot of edgy kids and grownups during Bush Jr.

The thing is, the general population in Europe is almost blankly ignorant of US politics save for the snippets they get from their (hardcore left SJW) media.

You're hilarious

>"our country doesn't like him"
>"hahaha you are so right america is the laughing stock of the world"
>"our country likes him"
>"YOU GUYS ARE JUST DUM SJW HARDCORE LEFT WAAAAH WAAAAH"

He's a puppet

*tips trilby*

Sad as it may be.

>I say trilby instead of fedora

Europeans most likely know more about US politics than the average American

>went from having strong and intelligent men to idiots to a liberal nigger as president
>now 2 meme candidates are fighting for the spot of the worst president in America history

Our media doesn't hate him at least, the average citizen probably doesn't care that much about him.

Guess that kind of proves the overall lunacy of Tumblr. The only thing on the entire fucking planet that matters to them is that Bob and Stu can eat gay wedding cake.

Obama: worse than bill but better than bush

hillary will be obama 2.0

trump will be a hilarious train wreck

>Secular

As secular as they could be yes, but still utterly foreign to the US.
The baathists were most similar to europeans during the first worldwar concerning their mentality I guess.
Which is still deeply religious not as in theocracy but as in "Gott mit uns" Nationalism.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=bD-pjSOdHIM

He's pretty funny and charming and good looking. He seems like someone it would be cool to have a few beers with.

Our media and most people like him a lot.

Don't take Cred Forums as an accurate cross section of real life people .

>Don't take Cred Forums as an accurate cross section of real life people

You're posting on Cred Forums, nimrod.

Kind of works on the same principle of how Boris Yeltsin was far more popular outside of Russia than in Russia. (^:

The media seems to love him over here.

George Dubya was portrayed as a war mongering piece of shit... probably because he was I guess.

They're all the same at the end of the day, I dislike most pollies.

If your country's leader is popular outside of your country, than he/she is shit

He doesn't have to actually live under this president. Of course I could say the same about Julia Gillard being a chill person to hang out with while Aussies believe she should be in prison or something.

Or probably because the media are far left SJWs.

Europeans didn't like Abe Lincoln, actually they were openly rooting for Southern independence so as to weaken a rising superpower.

Of course I never said that.

In Israel everyone hates Obama. We consider him a naive, petty de-stabilizer who screwed up everything he touched (outside America)
