New Cars album when?
This is a 1985 thread. YOU leave!
Hence why I called you a newfag for liking her /then current/ work more, asshole
Pretty piss-poor year for music. Most of the heavyweights of the era (Springsteen, Madonna, U2, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Metallica) didn't have an album out in 85. Around The World In A Day couldn't hope to beat the ginormous success of Purple Rain. In short, it was an alright year if you like shit-tier hairspray records like Theater of Pain or Invasion of Your Privacy, but not much else.
Brothers in Arms and Hounds of Love were at least worth something.
Madonna is a slut and will be forgotten in a few years
Your response makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
This is a 1985 thread and I'm staying current and on topic. Stop living in the past!
Didn't The Cure have an album out this year?
>GOD TIER
Blank Space
Clean
Out Of The Woods
Style
>MEDIOCRE TIER
Bad Blood
Wildest Dreams
New Romantics
>SHIT TIER
Shake It Off
I want to kill myself
Yeah and it sucked. That has to be some of the worst synths I've ever heard.
>1985 thread
???
The Head on The Door was the first Cure record to get any attention in the US. They were mostly popular here in the 90s rather than the 80s.
>4 years off
My bad fampai
I was reading Christgau's Pazz & Jop column for '85 and he refers to that year as "having the weakest top 10 in memory". All things said, I'm inclined to agree with him on the overall thinness of 1985 album releases. I don't think anyone would regard Theater of Pain as a great album.
Iron Maiden didn't have an album out in 85 either.
So, do you think they will ever top this?
Nope.
Blues/folk shitters and the Reagan years really didn't mix.
Aoty for sure, but The Dreaming is still better.
true
"music"
Ugh this band sucks
Does anybody like the new Clash album Cut The Crap? It seems like Joe Strummer is just dragging the name through the mud w/o Mick Jones.
