I can understand disliking Genesis and Rush but Yes did nothing wrong

You guys haven't gone deep enough into prog if youre listing super entry level, popular prog albums.
Check out Anglagard, Swedish prog band, they are heavily influenced by Genesis and King Crimson, but are a 90s band and more virtuosic

Great album man
Why are you guys posting krautrock? Krautrock influences are rooted in psychodelic rock, minimalism and a bit of free jazz. I don't see as progressive rock at all.
>implying you can understand anyone disliking Peter gabriel and Steve Hackett
>I don't see as progressive rock at all.

Don't get me wrong I love classic Genesis but they do have a lot of cheesiness that puts a lot of people off
Prog isn't allowed to be jazzy and psychedelic? That leaves out 90% of this thread.
not him, but I can't name many prog rock bands that sound minimalistic and repetitive as krautrock does. Most of bands in prog are literally the opposite.
Canterbury Scene

Honestly, this is the only prog chart you ever need.
>putting Tool, Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater in the same place as King Crimson, Faust, Robert Wyatt, Poop Voop and Henry Cow
Too far, man, too far.
