Name a better 90's band

Name a better 90's band

not as good as pavement

Modest Mouse

crooked rain is better

NMH>

never got this comparison, they sound nothing alike imo

the beatles

Close, but these guys were better

they're better

Guided By Voices drop out on the basis of the fact that they've been around since the 80s and have released excellent music throughout the 90s, 00s and 2010s instead of being merely confined to the 90s.

Leaving out GBV for those reasons, Archers Of Loaf was the best "indie rock" band of the 90s.

I win

came here to post that desu senpai i like you

OP just asked for a better 90s band, not a better 90s band that is also similar. They are both indie rock though

silver jews

two great albums before the hack that is jonathan donahue took over

no they aren't

based

OP likes unwound, but their best album came out in 00's

Jamiroquai
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
Cannibal Corpse
Suffocation
Pantera
The Cardigans
Nirvana
Soundgarden
No Doubt
Rage Against The Machine
The Brand New Heavies
Mint Condition
The Meeting

They're worse

they are better but not by much

>not even a 90s band
>two good albums in the 90s

nah

Radiohead
Nirvana
Oasis
The Smashing Pumpkins
Rage Against the Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Pavement and built to spill are the only bands that released 4 good albums in the 90s that also debuted in the 90s

Slint

this is b8

i just want to say thank you for recognizing ultimate alternative wavers as good
maybe my favorite bts album but it gets no respect

Also Manic Street Preachers, Ocean Colour Scene and The Verve

No problem bro. You're a cool dude.

Why not throw in Shed 7 and Cast while you're at it.

Fugazi.

Yeah I was only counting pre-Donahue Mercury Rev when saying they're a better 90s band

Well that was easy...

These. Also, The Smashing Pumpkins, AiC and the Manics.

Ocean Colour Scene and Oasis are garbage
Early Verve was amazing, but then they turned to britpop shite
RATM and RHCP aren't that good
90's Radiohead was great, but Pavement beats them out of sheer quantity of releases

ITT: entry level normie bands for mediocre suburban losers

second post best post

They were making 90's alt rock in the 80's
That's how good they were

Indisputable.

>being this young

Silkworm comes close.
