Either one is fine. I guess vaporwave is more slow and relaxing, while future funk is more upbeat and motivating.
vaportrap
The one that isn't a normie meme.
Oh, wait.
late 90s idm
Future Funk is just disco/funk-influenced vaporwave. Discuss.
ambient vaporwave ;-)
>Future funk is just French house.
fixed
Kind of, early ff had a lot of vaporwave vibes like saint pepsi's early stuff but its slowly becoming more like a weeb french house
>ambient
youtube.com
Whatever this is. I think vaporwave?
Ambient Soundscapes with serious Vaporwave vibes to the point that you really should just call it Vaporwave.
yeah, this pretty much sums up everything T e l e p a t h and HKE did
I just rewatched that vaporwave doc from last year and only now realise it's a fucking 20 minute advert for Dream Catalogue
>is actually slow core
what is the movie equivalent of this album?
>vaporwave doc
link?
Deep internet!
If it didn't make you listen to Skeleton, you should.
Here's his discog since he took half his shit off bandcamp.

I haven't listened to it but judging from the cover, probably a Refn film. Specifically Drive or OGF
How do I make vaporwave?
You just do it.
>Get some 80's Music (like, let's say, Tears for Fears)
>Slow it down
>Add some more long droning synths
>Add some "Wah"'s (not the Waluigi kind, it's not Waluigi Time)
>Add some ambient city noises
>Make the song title and album title something in moon runes and english that doesn't make much sense, like ご み 火 災 S C I S S O R S
>Be a trap
use like reverb and delay
Have some actual inspiration and compositional talent. Also work on the Album art pretty much as much as you did the album.

Or find an image and use like 2814 - 新しい日の誕生/Birth of a New Day
I prefer future funk
hypergrunge
I can't really think of a movie that captures the same atmosphere, it's very comfy and dreamy whereas most neon-core stuff is dark
OGF is too esoteric and Drive is more synthwave.
Way too dark (that movie would be I Am a Lake of Burning Orchids' "Innocence", I think it even samples the techno club scene)
any hypergrunge actually exist outside of GoD?
Since I'm a weeb pleb, I like to listen to the videos Artzie Music posts. They put a future funk songs over anime gifs, which is a really nice flavor of that vaporwave nostalgia.
I usually just call this future ambient and call it a day
Future Funk, Artzie Music may be cancerous, but I still find good content, even if it follows the formula of "80's Japanfunk with a 3 second looped anime gif", some of my favorite tracks are like youtube.com
I really didn't like this.
Part of the appeal of vaporwave for me IS the "aesthetic" cheesefest.
I can listen to BoC and the like if I want music with genuine intent.
