>albums to listen to in isolation
>the same shit everyone else listens to
You people really do live in your own little world, don't you?
shitting on other people's tastes isn't cool my man
what would you consider "true" isolation music
You are on a music board where everyone has somewhat similar taste, what are you expecting?
"give me some shoegaze albums"
*gets upset when someone posts Loveless*
>*gets upset when someone posts Loveless*
I mean, yeah, wouldn't you?
they're popular because they're good and resonate with many people
better music tends to be less popular but i don't have a hard on for obscurity in and of itself, that's a retarded attitude, and besides, most of this stuff isn't mainstream anyways, only well known on places like this
no, what the fuck do you expect? it's THE shoegaze album. most people aren't childish enough to care about how obscure something is as if that somehow alters the content of the music.
The point is, the knowledge that the score to my isolation is shared by thousands upon thousands kind of undermines said isolation.
There's a point where something is so ubiquitous that you should just kind of assume people have heard of it. Loveless is that for shoegaze. I don't tell someone asking for baroque pop "You know about Pet Sounds, right?"
If they legit don't know these albums I doubt my recommendations could be of any use to them because they are likely cave dwellers who have only recently decided to join the rest of humanity.

can you reupload this? link's broken

This song reminds me of a mentally ill/senile/delusional person living alone in some little isolated shack.
youtu.be
There's not much to it.
I enjoyed listening to it once.
I think mostly people get off on the idea of it, or the context.
>The point is, the knowledge that the score to my isolation is shared by thousands upon thousands kind of undermines said isolation.
are you really oblivious to the fact that this is YOUR problem?
Speaking of isolation this album gave me the worst third plateau DXM trip ever
...
this really is it. i was just killing time before class and chose to listen to this and i ended up wanting to kill myself instead.
Anything by paysage d'hiver
thanks for the heads up bro, was thinking I'd maybe listen to this on DXM but was concerned it'd send me into a bad trip
