I use a separate "origin" tag field, "editorial" text in the wrong tag fields like "artist" is retarded

I just tag them as "Sabbat", all of them. Then I use the "custom tags" feature in musibee to add a new Tag to bands where multiple bands with the same name exist in the library. I call the tag "country" and write the country in it. Then I use the "virtual tags" feature also offered in musicbee to create a tag combining artist and country with the following pattern " ()" and set my library artist filter to display that virtual tag instead of the "album artist" or "artist" one. This way you keep each field clean and still have all the information.

I also use that technique for fields I call "albumGenre" (for when the band switches styles and I want to listen to all death metal I have; THIS should include soulside journey by darkthrone). I also use this for a field I call "release type" which I fill with Demo, EP, Full-Length, etc. respectively.

Musicbee is highly recommended.

Honestly, theres too much variety. Its gonna take a few listens through for the good bits to stick out.

I liked All Hail Science. The spirit singing at the beginning was sick. Of Mind and Matrix is pretty sick too. The top 5 on spotify, as expected, seem to be trash. The mob is attracted to the tracks with cleaner vocals. Not that the cleaner vocals are bad in this album, but normies always lack appreciation for a fine harsh vocal.

But yeah. A solid '6/10, not bad' till I can figure out what the fuck is good. Its a crime to listen to songs by themselves without listening to the whole album. Especially when its a concept album. Artistic integrity, and all that hipster shit. It applies here.

After listening to this, I wasn't sure if it was actually worse than their earlier albums, or if I'd just outgrown Insomnium. So I went back to listen to their first 3 again and desu, In the Halls of Awaiting and Above the Weeping World are as great as I remember them, but Since the Day It All Came Down is mediocre.

I think Daughter of the Moon carried my opinion of it for a long time, it's one of their best songs. Bereavement is good, and The Day It All Came Down is OK, but every other song is forgettable. Maybe it just didn't leave the same impression because I took breaks while listening to it, I'll give it another shot, but I honestly don't think it's particularly better than OfS/SotDS.

I recall trying each of their albums and not being impressed. They would go into straight up arena rock tangents like later Carcass, which I don't care for. When it comes to dm/bm, cheese needs to be small part of a carefully balanced riff diet.
