ITT: We post OC flowcharts
Flowchart thread
sick flowchart. inclined to agree on nearly every call
Thanks m8
There are a fuckton of bands that need flowcharts, I'm good with photoshop, any recs?
Just start with some of your favorites :)
Talking Heads
The brain Jonestown massacre
Pavement
>Talking Heads
A great one already exists
Check out the wikia
>The brain Jonestown massacre
Never heard anything by them
>Pavement
I still haven't finished their discography
...
...
...
I don't like It Takes A Nation of Millions being that far down the chart when it's probably the second most important record on there
...
...
...
I would like to see some post rock, experimental rock, vocal jazz and classical music flowcharts.
that guide's great, but here's an actual flowchart if anybody wants it.
Improved the aesthetics of my flowchart
>post rock
i know this exists somewhere, i'll try and find it for ya.
Yea, you're right. Didn't consider that when I made it.
...
Any gloomgaze bandcamp-core flowchart?
...
good coil chart?
Current 93
love this one
...
and i made a really shitty o'rourke flowchart a while back too if anybody wants it
TFUL282
John Fahey
Cardiacs
Faust
My favorite East Coast rap song of all time
(A young MF Doom is in this group.)
>TFUL282
>John Fahey
these
fahey's would be interesting, i think vol. 4/requia/his early sound collage stuff segues nicely into his wacked-out '90s stuff.
here
CAPTAIN
BEEFHEART
IGGY
POP
...
here's another one as well
oooh, that looks awesome!
Oh yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
the byrds
rem
Devin Townsend has a pretty good one, but it's pretty outdated. Should be an easy job to add the new albums in.
Does anyone have a music concrete / tape music flowchart?
If not can anyone tell me random artists to look for?
Is there a Post Punk in general flowchart?
...
i made this a while back and just updated it, if anybody wants it
yeah there's a real big one, i'll post it in a sec
it's too big to up here but here's a super hi-res version
For genre-based flowcharts, can you add names to the icons? It's hard to know what every album is just by the look.
What are you talking about? It is only 4 listens in.
Just take the album, open it in paint, copy the album cover and reverse image search it. - I will fix it, but I can't atm.
Nobody is going through that amount of effort
I know, but I am not home, so I can't fix it right now.
I will make a list on RYM :)
Flowcharts don't need all those fucking tripled dot's...
Itt nigercucks
ur a nigercuck
Thanks, exactly the kinda thing I was looking for
an experimental rock flowchart is weird because in a way it would just be a Cred Forumscore flowchart, considering how much of it is experimental rock.
It could start with Zappa, Beefheart, Beatles and TVU, then progress to krautrock and post-punk artists, and after that to more distinct styles and artists.
For descriptors you could have stuff like more punk, more folk, more jazz, more noise, more electronic, more chaotic.
Morrissey Flowchart
thx
VCN is great and there are very few albums that sound like it.
Made this around Six months ago
NB: this is not perfect IMO (i.e there's a HEAP missing, side projects could be better integrated into the 'flow' of the chart, the layout in general could be better, album arts aren't in uniform scale or even square in parts), It's still a solid introduction but I plan on updating it soon given enough interest
enjoy, this is my favorite band
voting for someone to make this
bump
anyone have a prog rock flowchart
YES, PLEASE
Paid in Full really isn't a great starting point for that branch, it's really doubtful anyone will appreciate it unless they know the norms of the era, and how Rakim was so far ahead of everyone else
Neat, I live in memphis and never really looked into much of the local stuff.
psych rock flowchart wanted. I really fucking love 666, and I want to delve deeper into the genre.
...
>current 93 chart
there is several . you people are lazy as fuck
/bleep/ chart?
We need to make a chart for the entire genre of rock
I'd love one for free jazz
John Zorn please
I know it's literally impossible because he has like 250 albums but maybe a guide for getting into the most essential would be cool
>pic related
bump
Holy shit this is massive, but I've needed something like this forever! Thank you!
SOLAR FIELDS
SOLAR FIELDS
Sun Ra and Acid Mother's Temple/Makoto Kawabata would really benefit from one.
>Sun Ra and Acid Mother's Temple
>John Fahey
>Faust

WEEN
Remember, before asking me anything, check this fucking page:
4chanmusic.wikia.com
>tfw I went to sleep
>I forgot about this post
Well, I have a lot of work to do.
I am seriously thinking of doing this one before anything, honestly, I think I will do it right now.
>Faust
Honestly, I really wanted one because I only heard their first 4 albums.
...
Pink Floyd
Grateful Dead
Miles Davis
>Pink Floyd
Already exists
>Grateful Dead
Already exists
>Miles Davis
His discography is literally gigantic
ive been looking for this for so long. thank you.
>His discography is literally gigantic
which is why a flowchart is needed. It doesn't need to be comprehensive, just hit the highlights and say "if you like all of these, check out the rest of his discog!"
Any Nick Cave flowchart here?
Bumping with something
any charts for EDM?
Neurosis
It would be nice to have a dream pop chart for just dream pop and not shoegaze.
>4chanmusic.wikia.com
Shit the Dan Barrett/ELHR one and the Elliott Smith one could use some work. I might update them if I can find the motivation
Glad to see there are a few for Boredoms/Coil though
Thirding Sun Ra
Please do one for David Bowie. PLEASE.
LOOK AT THE FUCKING WIKIA PAGE
SUNN O)))
i think the low end theory is better than midnight marauders desu also props for organized confusion.
Konfusion oops eheeeheee Poser spotted hahahahahah eheehee
Mac DeMarco
It would be short yes, but you could include live albums, demo tapes, and Makeout Videotape releases.
hey guys, anyone got the halloween music chart?
this is close, but not really a flow chart
God damn dude, that is awesome! Thank you so much! Even if it's not a flowchart, it's still pretty cool.
please continue
