ETIQUETTE - Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link) - Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing - Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive - Soulseek /rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it - no samples on Youtube, Soundcloud? Drag'n'drop any MP3 on clyp.it
REQUESTS >I have a request! Did I... - Check the archive for a live link before requesting? - Share something first? - google "blogspot + artist name + album name"
ARCHIVE >"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive" - Go here: >>archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ - When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega|zippyshare|mediafire" - Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.

Requesting anything by Wataru Takada. I've been frantically searching for weeks and I can't find anything. I will "literally" suck your dick and/or vagina.
This is one of the lesser known and talked about Boredoms projects. One track, one hour, most of it deafening noise. It sounds like an extremely elongated version of Super Going off of Super ar, and is clearly a precursor to that project. Though I'd say I prefer it to Super ar as a whole.
In 2007 Yamantaka Eye and Yoshimi-P of Boredoms organized an event in New York involving 77 drummers (including Sara Lund of Unwound, Andrew W.K, Brian Chippendale of Lightning Bolt, Andy McLeod of Modest Mouse, and many more) spiraling outwards playing in unison while Yamantaka Eye operated electronics, vocals, and a vertical array of lap steel guitars in the center. The drums are loud and booming, and Eye's contributions are great. A kind of ascending noise...that is when he DOES contribute. At times he is content to let the drummers drum. It's quite an experience.
The links to this in the archive are either dead, or require what.cd.

does anyone have The Girl Who Leapt Through Time soundtrack? Can't find it on the archives or anywhere that doesn't look completely sketchy.

Any chance we can start a project to make the sharethread pastebin have at least 320 kbps for everything? There's some serious shit quality in there and it's entirely very well known albums that have 320kbps or FLAC copies everywhere, no reason we should be spreading shit ones
Jose Long
You can't regulate that, though. Bans for people who post anything below 320kbps/FLAC?
Brayden Reed
Nah, in the threads themselves it makes sense, especially since we put a lot of obscure shit where better For the pastebin we just either need to get prismadoll to change it or make a new one
Easton Gonzalez
Didn't finish the first sentence because I'm an idiot, should be "where better versions may not exist"

At Japan's 2015 Tokyo Psych Fest, members of Acid Mother's Temple, TOLCHOCK, and other Japanese bands came together to reinterpret Ash Ra Tempel's first gift to the world: Amboss off of their first album. It's not Klaus Schulze or Manuel Gottsching or Hartmut Enke playing, but goddamn is this a wild ride. A 33 minute jam session for any fan of psychedelic rock that ends in a wave of noise and feedback.
I ripped the 1080p video from youtube (above) and converted it to MP3 for my ipod. Figured I'd share it because why not.
Logan Adams
It's not slowed down, just the pitch was lowered.
It sounds incredibly good. So much more bearable to listen to. Would love to hear Grimes and some other women with a pitch change. Might make their songs so much better instead of hearing their baby voice antics.
Alexander James
Holy shit. It appeared after all this time.
You guys don't know the story about the guy that make these. There are like these 5 guys who make so many fucking albums it isn't funny so as to never have to listen to anybody elses music bar their own. They very rarely release any of them to the public tho and their .zips are always some name against music labels or something volume 1. If anyone has any of their other stuff pls let me know :*
This music cured my depression. I just listen to it at night when falling asleep. It may cause night sweats, sleep paralysis, jolting, unusual sensations, etc. It works by acting as like a "tuning fork". Thought I'd share it here if you want to listen to something weird.
"Bio-Energetic Psychotropic Music stimulates the body's natural healing rhythm and relaxes the mind so it may assist with the healing of the body. Boris uses the widest range of frequencies possible to positively stimulate the body, mind and spirit. This particularly unique form of music is not always "pleasing to the ear". It was not designed for listening pleasure, it was created for healing. The music goes to the source of your malfunctioning and your distress and has a positive effect upon the central nervous system.
Research has shown that this music effects the mental processes, cerebral cortex and sub-cortex structures of the brain, modifying mental activity. Analysis of the effects produced by BEP Music therapy indicate the following specific changes: Improved blood circulation, Relief of pain in joints, muscles, ligaments, etc. Anti-inflammatory action, Normalization of blood pressure, Soothing effect on the nervous and psychic system. In some cancer patients, Bio-Energetic Psychotropic Music therapy helped to alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy treatments. In patients suffering from paralysis of lower extremities, BEP Music therapy showed significant improvement in nerve conductivity. Also, BEP Music therapy has beneficial effects in reducing pain, fear and general stress."
Christian Flores
sounds interesting, thanks!
Adrian Watson
It sounds like a noise/ambient/drone album. That description is pretentious as fuck.
Christian Robinson
yeah i feel, if anything, the only thing "ahead of it's time" was the guy's sense of humour.
Though I can see the therapeutic benefits of the 'nature' sounds which i think is a real phenomena. 'connecting with nature' is supposed to be a good step to curing depression.

Xali'p - Glass Horizon [2016] >Ambient, Experimental, Bloops, Bleeps, Electronic, Adding tags that will get this to more people
Yeah all the write-ups I found about it seem rather over-the-top: world-of-cosmitec.com/boris-mourashkin.html Apparently the music has helped autism patients, those with extreme pain, etc. I'm not sure how real the write-up is. I can't seem to find any official studies about it.
For me it has noticeable effects when I lay down and listen to it. It makes my body go numb within 15 minutes and sort of shocks my body to feel certain things that it most likely wouldn't have felt otherwise due to the different sounds/frequencies being used. I use to be really sensitive to loud sounds, high-pitched sped-up music (nightcore), heavy metal, etc. and would easily get irritated by the noises of the world (traffic, construction, children playing, people talking in every direction, etc.) in general. I think it has helped my brain adapt or become desensitized as nothing irritates or annoys me much anymore. I have a stronger tolerance for whatever I'm listening to and may even enjoy it where as before I would have to escape from it and cover my ears. Also my overall mood in general just seems better.

I know that Swans' discog is in the pastebin but I downloaded all of it and have been listening chronologically and I realized that the tracklisting for Children Of God is all messed up. Some songs are duplicated and others are missing, and it is only about 300k instead of 320.
Rutracker does not have Children Of God outside of a full discog batch, the links on the archive are dead, slsk does not have 320 or FLAC, and I am not having luck with blogspots.
So could anyone please update the pastebin with a proper 320 (or FLAC) version of Children Of God with the correct tracklisting?

can't you download just the album from the discog?

There's really no way to regulate that other than adding "try to keep your uploads in 320 MP3, good quality VBR or FLAC" to the etiquette pasta. I can't go checking every single discography folder to check the bitrate to every album download either, nobody has that kind of time. I just leave that up for anyone in the sharethread to bring to my attention so I can remove the link or add LOW BITRATE next to the link, like I'd do if a folder's link suddenly becomes dead.
Chase Ortiz
Even encouraging people to point it out so you could do that would be an improvement, I'd be willing to start going through and pointing out shit quality links so we can get something better going
Alexander Edwards
Is there a difference between the large and small Cred Forumscore files in the pastebin? It doesn't appear like there is any.
Sebastian Hughes
Yeah that'd be nice. I've been busy the past couple of days so I haven't been able to update the pastebin, always do my best to keep the links fresh whenever a discography or something is posted, it's just not something I can do from my phone is all. I'd greatly appreciate that, I'll update them as soon as I get the chance.
And we do have a line in the etiquette folder to include bitrates, it's just nobody does it.
Ethan Kelly
I have no idea, I wasn't able to fully check and compare, so I kept both just incase. I'll remove the smaller one if that's the case.

Which version of Smile is best for a first time listener?
Bruno Schleinstein - Bruno S. >Outsider music, social pariah music, inexplicably duplicately-titled tracks, NO!Art, glockenspiel, accordion, field recordings, spoken word all in German. Recordings made shortly before his death in 2010, released 2014 >The unwanted son of a prostitute, Bruno S. was beaten so severely by his mother at age 3 that he became temporarily deaf. This led to his placement in a mental institution; he spent the next 23 years in various institutions, often running afoul of the law. Despite this past, he was a self-taught painter and musician (also an actor in some obscure German films) Sample: youtube.com/watch?v=tzDbz4JUKKs (Only one I could find)
Phil Minton - Doughnut Series >"[A] disciplined and rigorous sequence of miniatures... an hour of spectacular vocal acrobatics... It isn't easy listening, but once one grasps the relationship between Minton's highly refined art and the cracked, artless singing of pub amateurs, workmen and tramps, it has a Beckettian purity and warmth. Whatever its lineage, it is unmissable." >"There's no language as we know it on this disc. Instead, there are murmurings in strange, invented tongues, some of which resemble English... He makes the sounds of a Beckettian character, flat on his stomach trying to roll over onto his back, in a ditch by the side of the road. It's desperate stuff. It's also powerfully moving. I can't think of anyone who's explored this end of the spectrum of human-produced sounds. And far from being a novelty record, there's truth in this -- maybe too much. Music in this century has shown us the potential for just about every sound under the sun to be considered music -- funny how it's scrupulously avoided the sounds of disgust...
>It's weird and you probably won't like it, if consider it music at all, but play it loudly for your roommates at 4 AM

Offshore - Self Titled & Remixes (2015) >Very refreshing experimental electronic, kind of goofy but very rich tracks, it's really good and you won't be bored. Posthumous release. Various Artists - Harmika Yab Yum Folk Sounds From Nepal [Sublime Frequencies, SF017] (2005) >user's archive link was down, so here. >Sun City Girls guy's label >"Harmika Yab Yum" is a divine blend of Radio excerpts and field recordings from Nepal compiled by Robert Millis. This exciting mosaic snares among other oddities, a "King Cobra" snake charmer, the sounds of slaughtering buffaloes and guns firing amidst a Durga Puja festival, dreamy folk music, Sarangi and Harmonium players seeping in from unknown radio signals, pounding drums, praying monks, child choruses, street sermons, loudspeaker promotionals, and quiet footsteps at the top of the world. Millis has produced many curious audio works as a member of the group"Climax Golden Twins" and this collection of Himalayan ephemera captures the timeless beauty of the world's highest Kingdom, land of the rhododendron, the Kumari (a "living goddess"), and the legendary "Yeti".
