a bunch of those albums are classics though

t.b.h. I haven't listened to a single one of those

>tfw listening to Japandroids for the first time since Celebration Rock released
>forgot how much i loved that album

man 2012 was a year. good times

>t.b.h.
I don't blame you for not remembering, you were probably in middle school when most of these came out

>no Black Kids
Seriously? They're the poster children for "overhyped indie pop that went nowhere"

Fuck, they were the first of their kind.

>it will never be the summer of 2010 again

>tfw all the good trip friends having a blast

kinda makes me want to dig out my old trip for old times sake, but then i open up Cred Forums and realize that this place has changed, and i'm better off just popping in looking for the rare share threads

I still fuck wit my nigga Girl Talk tho

>out with friends
>discussing music
>"haha yeah man I love travis scott, mamacita's a banger haha"
>"yeah dude thugger's a fucking genius his verse on good times was lit af"
>go home
>hold my copy of sound of silver tightly in bed
>try not to cry
>cry a lot

this hits my feels hard

Missing Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Tapes 'n Tapes

hey fuck you chromatics is still good

>Destroyer
>Forgotten
Dude kaputt is amazing and Poison Season is one of the best albums of 2015

Iceage, Titus Andronicus, and Destroyer do not deserve to be here.

If you listen to LCD Soundsystem you have no right to think less of anybody.

don't worry, you're fitting in great here!

That Yeasayer album is great though. It kinda reminds me of Strawberry Jam except with a Middle Eastern flavor.

Kaputt is also fantastic, Iceage is one of the few bands that gives me hope for punk, and that Dirty Projectors album is really fun

But I agree with pretty much everything else on there

>tfw still really dig cults

Titus Andronicus, Japandroids, Cloud Nothings and Wild Nothing are legitimately pretty good, and King of the Beach is a classic.

Rest were overhyped, agreed.

I don't know which one is worse. Cults or Best Coast. My god p4k should be ashamed of themselves for hyping such trash.

ema's first album was total fucking dogshit

but then she suddenly got really good?

shit was weird but i'm not complaining

>Bashing La Flame and Thugger
>likes LCD Soundsystem

Kek get a load of this faggot

How can one site be so fucking wrong?

why do you hate fun
milkman's a jam any year tho

9.1 from schrieber

you dropped this dude

but I like fun

Yeah fuck those people and their shitty one-dimensional pop sludge. Our one-dimensional pop sludge is way cooler!

but do you like fun.?

no

>chillwave is dead and will never come back

DIIV and +@ are even more popular than they were then tho

>titus andronicus
DELET

>tfw your opportunity to start a shitty noise pop band and get your 10 seconds of p4k-funded fame has already passed
it seemed so easy too

Nice quads

my two notable standouts here are DIIV and titus andronicus. even if their hype has died down, i don't think they're totally forgotten. titus andronicus made the best album of 2015 and a live album this year, DIIV put out oshin 2: electric boogaloo this year, both got attention, not to mention devin and his Cred Forums antics creating buzz. i miss him.

I was about to make a comment on underagers but then I realized you actually could've been in middle school when The Monitor came out and be 18 now.

Fuck I feel old.

>titus andronicus made the best album of 2015
people actually think this

that yeasayer album's almost 10 years old
